Turner Takes Two Trophies at District Spelling Bee
By Thomas N. Berthoud’s Turner Middle School sent four students to compete in the district spelling bee last Saturday at Walt Clark Middle School in Loveland. These students coached by Colleen Bowker, were Hannah Stippich, Karsten Bump, Ken Kubik and Olivia Conde. Three of these students placed in the top four; Hanna Stippich tied for fourth place, Olivia Conde received third place, and Ken Kubik placed second. Ivy Stockwell Elementary Takes Third at District
By Thomas N. Walt Clark Middle School in Loveland was the grounds of an epic battle of words known as: The Thompson School District Elementary Spelling Bee. The bee was separated into two sections; a written exam of 50 words and an oral round. Thompson School District is celebrating its 50th year as a reorganized school district with a free celebration scheduled for Jan. 14 from 6-8 p.m. in Roberta Price Auditorium at Thompson Valley High School.
