Berthoud Town Board, April 25 The trustees took care of business relatively quickly on Tuesday evening. They approved the staff recommendation to award the water treatment plant Carbon Modification Project to Glacier Construction, the low bidder at $43,600. The project will move the activated carbon filtration to beginning of the water treatment cycle. Berthoud Board Study Session, May 18
By Judy LehnThe Board met for the express purpose of hearing reports from the Advisory Boards and Commissions. First to report was Mark French from the Berthoud Historical Society. He reported that in April, a part-time director (20 hours) was hired. Her name is Tara Secora and she started in January. She is conducting studies on school tours and on Floyd Clymer, who was a nationally-known auto salesman when he was only 11 years old. The museum will soon have a couple of his motorcycles. The ... Utility Advisory Board hears about non-potable water
The main item of business for the Feb. 10 Utility Advisory Board meeting was a presentation by the Thompson School District on the subject of non-potable water. Brian Erickson, Director of Facilities Services, and Rob Stafford, the district Resource Conservation Manager addressed the board in an informal briefing. Stafford reviewed the newly installed non-potable system for Turner Middle School. He said that the water bill for the school had gone from $8,000 per year to $65,000 after the ... Full Story
