Vesta Fire
Larimer County Sheriff's Office Emergency Services crews were called to assist the Wellington Fire Department today on a grass fire in the area of Vesta Lane and County Road 9. The fire was reported at approximately noon today. Poudre Fire Authority was also called to assist. The grass fire burned approximately 650 acres and is currently about 90% contained. Date: May 3, 2011 Several homes had to be evacuated in the 3300-block of Saratoga Street in Wellington last night as Larimer County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to a report of a domestic disturbance with a woman and child allegedly not being allowed to leave the residence. Date: April 21, 2011 On March 10, 2011, Larimer County Sheriff's Office deputies and emergency medical teams responded to the 3700-block of Henderson Avenue in Wellington, Colorado, on the report that a two-year-old boy had hit his head and was not responsive. Suspicious Male followed 11-year-old girl home March 10, 2011 On March 7 and March 8 at approximately 3:30 p.m., an 11-year-old female was walking from the 4000-block of Wilson Avenue in Wellington when she was followed to her residence by an unknown male. The female ignored the male and called her mother on her cell phone. The Larimer County Sheriff's Office was notified on March 8 by the 11 year old and her mother.
