A Proper English Tea event
Adult and teen program to be held Thursday, July 11th at 2:00 pm
BERTHOUD, Colo.—June 19, 2013—For fans of those glamorous Crawley ladies waiting eagerly (read: impatiently) for season four, come to Berthoud Community Library District’s low tea event and whet your appetite for some proper British fare. Guests will sample several tea varieties as well as those must-have British staples: clotted cream, scones and finger sandwiches. Tea expert Laurie Thoma will provide the background on this deeply ingrained and civilized tradition, while patrons’ knowledge of both upstairs and down at “the abbey” will be tested in a trivia game. Take a quiz to discover which character you are most like and then share your results with fellow Edwardian-age enthusiasts.
Hats and gloves are strongly encouraged.
