First shipment of young turkeys
The first shipment of turkey poults to arrive here is due tomorrow, when some 4,000 of the young birds come to the Berthoud Feed Store farm southwest of town.

Ione Cronin of Berthoud is exhibiting oil paintings in the Long art exhibit April 8.

Berthoud girl in Talent Quest finals

Judy Hale, 10, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Hale, won first place Monday night in the finals of the Fox Longmont’s Talent Quest contest. Judy, who is a pupil at Lakeview school, received an overnight trip to Denver with all expenses paid for herself, her mother, and her accompanist, Frances Kreiger of Johnstown.

Rain and snow improve farm picture
Berthoud farmers looked happy, people here called it “a fine storm,” as a 4-day rain and snow period continued Wednesday. Estimates were that the area enjoyed a full inch of precipitation.
