Squad 61 responded to the 4000 block of S. Garfield Avenue for a 62-year-old man having breathing problems. TVEMS assumed patient care, and the crew helped with loading the patient for transport.
Engine 61 responded to the Banner Health Clinic for a medical assist and transport.
Engine 61 dispatched to the 600 block of Mountain Avenue for a sick person. The crew assessed the patient and obtained a baseline set of vital signs. Patient care was transferred to TVEMS, and the patient was loaded onto a cot for transport.
Engine 61 dispatched to I-25 mm250 SB for a four-vehicle accident. TVEMS assumed patient care. The crew mitigated hazards and cleared debris from the roadway. The scene was turned over to CSP.
A citizen stopped by Station 61 to report an accident at County Road 13 and Highway 56. The crew found a two-vehicle accident with light damage and all parties out of the vehicles. All occupants reported not having any injuries.
Squad 62 responded to the 900 block of Schofield Road for a 91-year old woman who had fallen. The crew assessed the patient and transferred care to TVEMS. The loaded the patient into the ambulance for transport.
Saturday, April 2
Engine 61 responded to the 900 block of Franklin Avenue for a resident who had fallen. The patient was assessed and reported no injury.
Sunday, April 3
Squad 61 dispatched to the 1200 block of Finch Street for a sick person. The crew helped TVEMS with patient assessment.
Squad 62 responded to the 2300 block of W County Road 10 for a 65-year-old woman who was sick. The crew assisted TVEMS with patient assessment. The patient was then loaded onto the pram for transport.
Engine 62 responded to the 6300 block of W County Road 4 for a 78-year old man who was feeling sick. The patient was assessed and refused transport.
April 4-10
Monday, April 4
Squad 61 responded to the Love’s Travel Stop for a 61-year-old woman with breathing problems. TVEMS assumed patient care. The crew retrieved the cot and helped with loading of the patient for transport.
Squad 61 dispatched to the Berthoud Recreation Center for a 50-year-old woman with chest pains. The patient was in the pool area, and she stated that she was feeling better and that she just swallowed water down the wrong pipe. TVEMS arrived on scene and took over patient care. The crew assisted with getting a set of vitals. TVEMS no longer needed assistance and cleared Squad 61.
Engine 61 responded to the 300 block of S. 8th Street for a citizens assist. A woman needed help swapping out her oxygen bottle. The crew showed the woman how to swap her oxygen over, after which she did not require additional assistance.
Citizens assist in the 200 block of 10th Street to assist UC Health transport vehicle with bringing a patient back into the home.
Engine 61 dispatched to the Love’s Travel Stop for a 67-year-old man feeling like his arm was going numb. The crew began to obtain a basic history and a set of vitals from the patient. TVEMS arrived on scene and assumed patient care. The patient was loaded into the ambulance for transport.
Tuesday, April 5
Squad 62 responded to the 4000 block of Beverly Drive for a 61-year-old man with a high fever. TVEMS established patient care, at which time the crew brought in the cot. The patient was loaded into the ambulance for transport to a local hospital.
Citizens assist to the intersection of Mountain and 3rd for a vehicle that needed to be jumped. The crew charged the battery for 5 minutes, and the motor started.
Squad 62 dispatched to the 1000 block of Preserve Drive for a 67-year-old man having chest pains. TVEMS assumed patient care, and the crew assisted with loading of the patient into the ambulance for transport.
Wednesday, April 6
Squad 61 responded to the 700 block of Grays Peak Lane for a 52-year-old woman with abdominal pain. TVEMS assumed patient care while the crew aided and placed the cot outside the front door to the residence. The patient was transported to a local hospital.
Thursday, April 7
Citizens assist in the block of 600 Canyonlands Street to help change the batteries in a smoke detector on a vaulted ceiling. The crew changed the battery in the detector, the system was tested and checked.
Friday, April 8
Berthoud Fire responded to the 20000 Weld Cty Road 3 for a 44-year-old man having a seizure. TVEMS assumed patient care, and the crew assisted with packaging the patient for transport.
BC-61 responded to the 200 block of 2nd Street for a seizure. TVEMS assumed patient care. The patient was loaded into the ambulance for transport to a local hospital.
Citizen assist in the 1000 block of Navajo Place to change batteries in smoke detectors. While completing, the crew found a defective CO detector, and the homeowners were advised to purchase a new one.
Squad 61 responded to the 600 block of 6th Street for a patient who had fallen. TVEMS assessed the patient. The crew then assisted with lifting the patient back onto the bed.
Berthoud Fire dispatched to the 1100 block of S County Road 27E for a wildland fire. This was a small grass fire being attended by an individual with a garden hose. The crew utilized a booster reel to assist with knock down, which was completed quickly on the 100×100’ fire. Crews began mop up of any remaining hot spots.
Saturday, April 9
Berthoud Fire dispatched to the 1000 block of 4th Street for an illegal burn. The crew found a fire burning in the backyard. The crew informed the homeowner that the fire would need to be extinguished since there was a red flag warning for the area and burning of trash or yard debris was not allowed. The homeowner was cooperative, and the fire was extinguished.
Squad 61 responded to the Love’s Travel Stop for a person who was having a seizure. LCSO was attending to the patient. The crew evaluated the patient and transferred care to TVEMS. The patient was loaded for transport for further evaluation at a local hospital.

Squad 61 dispatched to the 1600 block of 4th Street for a person with breathing problems. The crew began patient assessment and transferred care to TVEMS.
Squad 61 responded to the 100 block of Sioux Drive for a sick person. TVEMS assumed patient care. The crew assisted with loading the patient into the ambulance for transport to a local hospital.

April 11-17
Monday, April 11
Engine 61 responded to Hwy 287 for a vehicle vs an elk accident. The vehicle had moderate damage to the windshield and the elk was down in the road. One person was evaluated by TVEMS, and the crew pulled the carcass of elk off the highway. The patient refused treatment, and the scene was turned over to LCSO.
Berthoud fire responded to the Berthoud Living Center for a medical.
Engine 62 responded to the 1000 block of Paramount Drive for an 83-year-old man with a laceration. TVEMS assumed patient care, and the crew helped with packaging him for transport.
Tuesday, April 12
Engine 62 dispatched to the 400 block of S. Cty Road 23E for a 69-year-old man having signs of a heart attack. The crew assisted with loading of the patient for transport to a local hospital.
Citizens assist for a chirping alarm in the 300 block of Hubbell Street. Met with the homeowner and discovered that all but one alarm was expired. Homeowner said he would replace all the expired detectors himself.
Engine 61 responded to a single vehicle rollover accident in the 20000 block of Weld Cty Road 3. The vehicle was back on its wheels, and both parties were out stating no injuries and refusing medical attention. The crew confirmed no hazards present and cleared the scene.
Wednesday, April 13
Citizens assist for a chirping CO detector in the 1000 block of Chokeberry Street. It was a faulty smoke/CO detector as indicated by 5 chirps per minute. The crew advised the homeowner to replace the detector as soon as possible.
Thursday, April 14
Engine 61 responded to the 900 block of 6th Street for a 31-year-old man having a seizure. The crew cleared the area around the patient so that he would not harm himself, and TVEMS managed all patient care. The patient was loaded into the ambulance and transported by TVEMS.
Berthoud Fire dispatched to I-25 mm 251 NB for a law enforcement request for medical. This was a single vehicle accident off the shoulder with light damage and a single unresponsive person lying in the front of the seat. The crew removed the patient from the vehicle and loaded her on to the cot and into the ambulance. There were no hazards on the roadway, and Colorado State Patrol cleared the crew from scene.
Squad 61 dispatched to the 700 block of Mountain Avenue for a 57-year-old man who needed his vitals checked. Patient care was transferred to TVEMS and the crew helped prepare the cot and load the patient for transport.
Squad 61 responded to the 700 block of 4th Street for a 39-year-old man with diabetic problems. EMS obtained a set of vitals and decided to transport the patient to the hospital.
Friday, April 15
Squad 61 dispatched to the 2000 block of Weld Cty Rod 46 for a 94-year-old woman who had injured her foot. TVEMS assumed patient care, and the crew assisted with loading of the patient into the ambulance for transport.
Engine 61 responded to the 600 block of Grand Market Avenue for breathing problems. TVEMS assumed patient care. The patient was walked to the cot and loaded into the ambulance for transport.
Squad 61 dispatched to the 800 block of Winding Brook Drive for a medical. The crew assisted the patient and transferred care to TVEMS. The patient was loaded into the ambulance for transport to a local hospital.
Saturday, April 16
Squad 61 responded to the 1300 block of 1st Street for back pain. The patient was assessed and loaded into the ambulance for transport.
Engine 61 dispatched to the 200 block of Cheyenne Avenue for an odor investigation. The crew made entry into the home and could immediately smell natural gas. No elevated readings were found on the air monitoring equipment so the crew had dispatch contact Xcel Energy to respond to the scene. When Xcel arrived the crews investigated the water heater where they found a small gas leak. No hazards were associated and occupants were safe to re-enter the home. Xcel remained on scene.
Sunday, April 17
Squad 62 dispatched to the 400 block of Lakritz Street for a 71-year-old man who was sick. TVEMS assumed patient care. The crew assisted with loading the patient into the ambulance for transport to a local hospital.
Engine 626 dispatched to the 4900 block of Beverly Drive for an illegal burn. This was a small fire burning in a 55 gallon steel barrel with an ember catch on top. The crew informed the homeowner that there was a current red flag warning, and the fire would have to be put out. The homeowner agreed and extinguished the fire with a garden hose.
Squad 61 responded to the 4900 block of S Iowa Avenue for a person who had fallen and hurt his hip. TVEMS assumed patient care. The crew assisted with loading the patient for transport.
Engine 61 dispatched to the 100 block of 42nd Street SW for a single-motor vehicle accident. A vehicle had gone through a fence, hit a rock and tree, and stopped in a dry drainage canal. The driver had left the scene so the crew requested CSP to respond. The crew checked for hazards and remained on scene until cleared by CSP.
Squad 61 dispatched to the intersection of N County Road 15C and W County Road 10E for a law enforcement request for medical assistance. LCSO was with the driver from a motor vehicle accident that had occurred earlier. The crew began patient evaluation and transferred care to TVEMS. The patient was transported to a local hospital.

Squad 61 responded to the 800 block of Holmes Place for a 31-year-old woman who was bleeding. TVEMS assumed patient care.
Squad 61 dispatched to the 1000 block of Chaparro Circle for an 88-year-old woman with chest pain. The patient reported the pain was on her left side. The crew assisted with loading of the patient for transport to a local hospital.
Squad 61 responded to the Berthoud Recreation Center for a 17-year-old male on the basketball court with a dislocated knee. TVEMS arrived along with his father who filled out refusal forms.
Squad 61 dispatched to the 2000 block of N. County Road 13 for a 66-year-old woman who was sick. The crew assisted with patient evaluation and vital sign monitoring. The patient was moved from her wheelchair and onto the cot for transport to a local hospital.

Tuesday, April 19
Squad 61 responded to the 200 block of 2nd Street for a 59-year-old female with stomach cramps. TVEMS assumed patient care, and the crew assisted with loading of the patient for transport to a local hospital.
Wednesday, April 20
Berthoud Fire responded to the Berthoud Living Center for a medical.
Citizens assist requesting help with a beeping smoke detector in the 7000 block of Sedona Hills Drive. The crew determined that the detector was at the end of service life. The homeowner wanted us to just leave it and her husband could replace it when he got home.
Engine 62 responded near the swim beach at Carter Lake on Road 31 and located a 31-year-old man whose left arm and shoulder were trapped by a car that had rolled onto him. The crew reported that the patient’s forearm was lightly pinned between a rock and front bumper. Engine 47 personnel assisted with pushing the vehicle backwards and chocking the tires to prevent it from rolling back. TVEMS assumed patient care, and the patient was loaded into the ambulance for transport.
Thursday, April 21
Squad 61 responded to the 700 block of Franklin Avenue for a 64-year-old woman who had fallen and hit her head on the sidewalk. TVEMS arrived, and the patient was placed on the cot and loaded for transport.
Squad 61 dispatched to the 1400 block of Westport Avenue for a 23-year-old woman having chest pains. The crew began patient assessment and transferred care to TVEMS. The patient refused transport.
Squad 62 dispatched to the 1900 block of Glenview Court for a 5-month-old baby that was not breathing. TVEMS assumed patient care with aid from Squad 62 crew.
Engine 61 dispatched to the 1400 block of W County Road 10E for a law enforcement request to stage at the location for medical assistance. Once on scene, LCSO requested help closing Highway 287 from W County Road 8 to Berthoud Parkway due to a man with a gun in the area. After road barricades arrived at the scene, along with the arrival of TVEMS, Engine 61 was cleared from the scene.
Berthoud Fire dispatched to the 700 block of W County Road 16 for a grass fire. The crew found a grass fire of less than one acre with a burning slash pile threatening a structure. E433 & E613 were assigned structure protection. Crews were able to contain the fire and began mop up.
Engine 62 dispatched to the 500 block of 1st Street for illegal burning. It appeared that a piece of furniture was on fire. The homeowner was informed that it would need to be extinguished and the burn regulations were explained. After the fire was fully extinguished, Engine 62 cleared the scene.
Friday, April 22
Berthoud Fire dispatched to the 400 block of Lakritz Street for a 71-year-old man who had fallen and needed a lift assist.
Engine 61 dispatched to a small fire in the vicinity of Grand Market Avenue and Berthoud Parkway. The crew found a 3’x10’ area of charred mulch, but no fire or smoke. The crew used hand tools to ensure complete extinguishment.
Squad 61 responded to the 600 block of S 9th Street for a 16-year-old male not feeling well. The patient was assessed. The patient’s mother arrived on scene and completed the refusal form.

Squad 61 along with TVEMS dispatched to the 300 block of 42nd Street for a 28-year-old woman having heart issues. The patient was waiting outside. The crew helped the patient into the ambulance. She was transported to a local hospital.

Engine 61 responded to Hwy 287 and Cty Road 2E for a wildland fire. They found a small smoldering pile of limbs next to a decorative tank in the front yard. The homeowner was watching the fire. The homeowner said that he did not know he needed a burn permit to burn a pile of limbs. The crew informed him of the process to obtain a burn permit. He stated he would extinguish the rest of the pile.
Engine 62 responded to the 2000 block of 1st Street for an awning damaged by the wind. The strapped the awning down in place.
Tuesday, April 26
Squad 61 responded to the 600 block of Great Basin Court for a 11-year-old boy having a food allergic reaction. The patient was lying on the couch in the front room. TVEMS assumed patient care.
Engine 61 dispatched to the area of N. 115th and Yellowstone Road for reports of a smoke investigation. The smoke was from a prescribed permitted burn at Ish reservoir.

Thursday, April 28
Squad 61 responded to the 500 block of 8th Street for a law enforcement request for medical. The crew, along with TVEMS, packaged the patient for transport to a local hospital.
Squad 61 dispatched to the 3000 block of Highplains Drive to help a patient with her medical device. The patient had just gotten home from the hospital that day and needed help troubleshooting the machine they had purchased. The crew helped the patient tighten all the fittings and tested it. The unit was working properly before Squad 61 left the residence.
Friday, April 29
Engine 613 dispatched to the 21000 block of Weld Cty Road 1 for a grass fire and found several tree stumps smoldering from a recent controlled burn. The crew extinguished the embers and cleared the scene.
Engine 61 responded to the 2300 block of E Highway 56 for a CO alarm. The crew entered the home and found no abnormal readings. The crew inspected the alarms and changed batteries. They also recommended that the homeowner replace the detectors as soon as possible because they were pass their lifespan.
Squad 61 responded to the 19000 block of Weld County Road 3 for a medical assist on a 75-year-old man. The patient was loaded into the ambulance for transport to a local hospital.

Berthoud Fire responded to Brookside Gardens for a person who had fainted. TVEMS assumed patient care. The patient was loaded into the ambulance for transport.
BC-61 dispatched to the 4000 block of N Grant Avenue for a building fire at a self-storage facility. BC-61 was assigned safety officer role and positioned in the hazard area to keep an eye on the engaged crews. Once the incident de-escalated, command released BC-61 from the scene.
Berthoud Fire dispatched to the area of Weld County Road 1 and E. Highway 56 for a two-vehicle accident with moderate front end damage to both vehicles. The crew checked for hazards and initiated contact with the occupants. TVEMS determined two patients would need transport. They were placed into the ambulance for transport to a local hospital. The crew swept debris off the roadway before leaving.

Saturday, April 30
Engine 61 dispatched to the 900 block of 19th Street for an illegal burn. There was a small smoldering fire in a steel ring pit in the backyard. The crew informed the homeowner that the materials he was burning were not allowed, and the crew requested the homeowner extinguish the fire.
Squad 61 dispatched to the 2300 block of TPC Parkway for a medical. The mother walked her daughter into the ambulance for evaluation. TVEMS transported the girl to a local hospital.
