April 1 – 2

Saturday, April 1

Squad 61 and TVEMS were dispatched to the 4000 block of Iowa Avenue for a medical. TVEMS assumed patient assessment, and E-61 assisted with loading the patient for transport to a local hospital.

Sunday, April 2

Engine 61 and TVEMS were dispatched to the 4000 block of Malibu Drive for medical. TVEMS assumed patient care as Engine 61 retrieved the cot. The patient was loaded into the ambulance and transported to a local hospital.

Engine 61 and TVEMS responded to a medical in the 300 block of East Iowa Avenue. TVEMS assumed patient care as Engine 61 retrieved the cot. The patient was loaded into the ambulance and transported to a local hospital.

Engine 61 and TVEMS responded to a medical in the 400 block of 4th Street. E-61 helped TVEMS with moving the patient to the cot and loading the patient for transport.

April 3 – 9

Monday, April 3

Engine 62 responded to the 1000 block of Preserve Drive for a medical. TVEMS assumed patient care and the crew assisted with loading the patient into the ambulance for transport.

Citizens assist at Station 1 for a car seat installation.

Engine 61 responded to the 300 block of 49th Street SW for a patient who had fallen. TVEMS assumed patient care and the crew loaded the patient for transport to a local hospital.

Engine 61 responded to the 600 block of Welch Avenue for a medical. The crew assisted with loading the patient into the ambulance for transport.

Engine 61 responded to the 2000 block of Caballo Avenue for a medical. TVEMS assumed patient care. The crew helped with loading the patient into the ambulance for transport.

Tuesday, April 4

Engine 61 responded to the 900 block of 4th Street for a lift assist.

E62 dispatched to the 800 block of Wilfred Road for a medical. TVEMS assumed patient care and the crew assisted with loading the patient for transport.

E-61 dispatched to the 200 block of 2nd Street for a lift assist.

Engine 61 and TVEMS were dispatched to Hwy 287 and County Road 4E for a 2-car accident. The crew cleaned up debris and TVEMS completed patient refusal forms.

Squad 61, Engine 61, and BC 61 responded to the NB lane of Hwy 287 for a 3-vehicle accident. TVEMS completed patient refusal forms and cleared all crews.

Citizens assist at Station 1 for a car seat installation.

Wednesday, April 5

Engine 61 responded to the 200 block of 2nd Street for a lift assist.

Engine 62 and TVEMS responded to the 2000 block of Breckenridge Drive for a medical. The crew assisted with getting the cot and loading the patient for transport.

Thursday, April 6

Engine 62 and TVEMS responded to the 900 block of Mountain Avenue for a medical. TVEMS assumed patient care as E-62 retrieved the cot. The crews loaded the patient for transport to a local hospital.

Friday, April 7

Engine 61 dispatched to the 800 block of Welch Ave for assistance with a chirping smoke detector. Engine 61 replaced all the smoke detector batteries inside the residence.

Engine 61 dispatched to the 1600 block of 4th Street for chirping smoke detectors. Engine 61 replaced all the smoke detector batteries inside the residence.

Saturday, April 8

Engine 61, Squad 61 and TVEMS were dispatched to the 100 block of Sioux Dr. for a medical. The crew assisted with patient care and loading the patient for transport to a local hospital.

Squad 61 and TVEMS were dispatched to the 900 block of 3rd St. for a medical. TVEMS assumed patient care and the crew assisted with loading the patient for transport to a local hospital.

Engine 62 dispatched to the 3600 block of West County Rd 8 for a dog stuck in a tunnel. The dog was approximately 3ft below ground level and 3/4 of the dog was in the tunnel. E62’s crew was able to get a piece of webbing looped around the dog behind its shoulders. Once the loop was secure and in place the dog was lifted out of the hole.

Sunday, April 9

Engine 61 and TVEMS were dispatched to the 200 block of E 2nd St. for a medical. The crew assisted TVEMS with getting the patient loaded for transport to a local hospital.

Engine 61, BC-61, LFRA, and TVEMS were dispatched to Berthoud Parkway and Hwy 287 for a 2-car accident. There were no injuries or hazards found.

Engine 61 and TVEMS were dispatched to the 4000 block of Hawg Hollow Lane for a medical. The crew assisted TVEMS with loading the patient for transport to a local hospital.

Engine 61 and TVEMS responded to South Bound I-25 for a 2-car accident. There were no injuries or hazards found.

 

April 10 – 16

Monday, April 10

Engine 61 and TVEMS responded to the 1000 block of 1st Street for a medical. The crew assisted TVEMS loading the patient for transport to a local hospital.

Tuesday, April 11

Engine 61 responded to the 1000 block of Willow Drive for a chirping detector. All the detector batteries were replaced, and the homeowner said the detectors were 24 years old. The crew suggested that they be replaced, and he said he would take care of it.

Squad 61 was dispatched to the 800 block of 10th Street for a person who needed a lift assist.

E61 and TVEMS were dispatched to the intersection of Hwy 287 and Berthoud Parkway for a two-vehicle accident. TVEMS assumed patient care and the crew assisted with loading the patient for transport. The scene was cleaned of debris and the roadway was opened for normal operations.

BC-61 and BC-62 were dispatched to the 200 block of Cheyenne Dr. for the smell of gas inside. There was a slight smell of gas in the kitchen. The crew was unable to find a gas leak on the meter, stove, furnace, or hot water heater. With the smell being concentrated in the kitchen the crew isolated the gas coming from the stove and the smell seemed to dissipate. The crews suggested their stove may need to be serviced, but if the smelled returned, they should call again or contact Xcel Energy directly.

Engine 61, E-62 and TVEMS responded to WCR 12 for a medical. TVEMS assumed patient care and the crew helped with loading the patient for transport to a local hospital.

Squad 61 and TVEMS were dispatched to the 400 block of Welch Ave for a medical. The crew assisted with loading the patient for transport to a local hospital.

Wednesday, April 12

Engine 61 responded to the 600 block of South 9th St for a chirping detector. Batteries were replaced in all smoke alarms and Carbon Monoxide detectors.

Engine 61, Squad 61, and TVEMS were dispatched to the 800 block of Longview Ave for a medical. TVEMS assumed patient care and the crew assisted with loading the patient for transport to a local hospital.

Thursday, April 13

Squad 61 and TVEMS were dispatched to the block of 500 Windom Peak Lane for a medical. TVEMS assumed patient care and the crew assisted with loading the patient for transport to a local hospital.

Friday, April 14

Engine 61 and TVEMS were dispatched to the 500 block of 5th St for a medical. TVEMS assumed patient care and the crew helped with loading the patient for transport to a local hospital.

Engine 61 and TVEMS were dispatched to the 1000 block of Gabriella Lane for a medical. TVEMS assumed patient care and the crew assisted with loading the patient for transport to a local hospital.

Saturday, April 15

Engine 61 and TVEMS were dispatched to the 100 block of Sioux Dr for a medical. TVEMS assumed patient care and the crew assisted with loading the patient for transport to a local hospital.

Engine 61, E-62 and TVEMS were dispatched to the 1000 block of 6th St for a medical. TVEMS assumed patient care and the crew aided with loading the patient for transport to a local hospital.

Sunday, April 16

Engine 61 and TVEMS were dispatched to the 1900 block of 1st St for a medical. TVEMS assumed patient care and the crew helped with loading the patient for transport to a local hospital.

E-61 responded to the 300 block of Meadowlark Dr for a gas smell. The problem stemmed from an extinguished pilot light on the stovetop. The gas quickly dissipated, and the property was turned back over to the employees.

Tuesday, April 18

Engine 61 responded to the 400 block of E. County Road 2 for a small hay shed burning at about 30% involvement. Once the fire was out and overhaul complete the scene was turned back over to the homeowner.

Squad 61 responded to the 600 block of S. 9th Street to help install new smoke detectors.

Engine 61 dispatched to the 1000 block of Rancho Way for an individual burn in the backyard. The crew entered the backyard to speak with the individual burning grass clippings in a fire pit. The crew informed the resident of the red flag conditions and that all burning was illegal at that time. The homeowner was also informed that burning yard debris was not permitted and a burn permit would need to be obtained by Larimer County. The fire was extinguished by the resident.

Engine 61, Squad 61 and TVEMS responded to the Love’s Travel Stop for a medical. TVEMS assumed patient care and the crew assisted with loading the patient into the ambulance for transport.

Wednesday, April 19

Citizens assist in the 800 block of Longview Avenue to help swap an oxygen tank for a full one.

Engine 61 witnessed a disabled vehicle stopped in the eastbound lane of Spartan Avenue. The crew spoke with the occupants, and they stated that they had a flat tire and that their jack was not working. The crew obtained our jack, lifted the vehicle, and changed the tire for the occupants.

A citizen stopped by Station 1 and stated that they were having issues with their smoke detectors in the 2000 block of Diamondback Drive. The homeowners stated that they had also replaced all the batteries and they were still beeping at random times of the day and night. The crew removed each detector, cleared any debris with compressed air, and tested each detector. All detectors were found to be in normal operation.

Berthoud Squad 61 provided Strap and Snap public education training for 3rd graders at Ivy Stockwell Elementary school.

Engine 61 and TVEMS were dispatched to the 1000 block of 4th Street for a medical. TVEMS assumed patient care and the crew assisted with loading the patient for transport to a local hospital.

Thursday, April 20

Citizens assist at Station 1 for a car seat installation.

E61 and TVEMS were dispatched to the 500 block of Redwood Circle for a medical. The crew assisted in loading the patient into the ambulance for transport to a nearby hospital.

Engine 61 and TVEMS were dispatched to the 800 block of 10thStreet for a medical. The crew assisted with a patient assessment and turned the scene over to TVEMS.

Engine 61 and TVEMS responded to the 2000 block of Cooperland Blvd for a medical. TVEMS assessed the patient and E-61 helped load the patient for transport to a local hospital.

Friday, April 21

Engine 61 and TVEMS responded to the 800 block of Franklin Avenue for a medical. The crew assisted TVEMS with the patient evaluation and loaded the patient for transport to a local hospital.

Engine 61 dispatched to the 2000 block of Burbank Street for a lift assist.

Engine 61 and TVEMS were dispatched to the 400 block of Ellie Way for a medical. The crew assisted with the patient assessment and helped with loading the patient into the ambulance for transport to a local hospital.

Saturday, April 22

Engine 61 and TVEMS were dispatched to the 100 block of S. 8th Street for a medical. TVEMS began patient assessment and cleared the crew from scene.

Engine 61 and TVEMS responded to the 100 block of Sioux Dr. for a medical. TVEMS began patient assessment and cleared the crew from scene.

Engine 62 responded to the 3000 block of Meining Road for a medical. TVEMS assumed patient assessment. E-62 helped with loading the patient into the ambulance for transport to a local hospital.

Sunday, April 23

Engine 61 and TVEMS responded to the 20000 block of Weld County Rd for a medical. TVEMS assumed patient assessment and E-61 cleared the scene.

Engine 61 and TVEMS were dispatched to the 2100 block of Burbank Street for a medical. TVEMS assumed patient assessment and the crew helped with loading the patient for transport to a local hospital.

 

April 24 – 30

Monday, April 24

Engine 61 responded to W. County Road 10E for a medical. TVEMS assumed patient care. The crew assisted with loading the patient into the ambulance for transport to a local hospital.

Engine 61 and Squad 61 responded to the 800 block of Holmes Place for an extremely uncooperative patient who was in custody by LCSO. The patient was placed onto the stretcher and was transported to an area hospital.

Tuesday, April 25

Berthoud 62 responded to the intersection of Berthoud Parkway and Mountain Avenue for a 2-vehicle T-bone type accident. The crew was able to confirm that there were no hazards and no airbag deployments. TVEMS assumed patient care.

Engine 61 and TVEMS were dispatched to the 500 block of Redwood Circle for a fall. The crew helped TVEMS with patient care and loading. The patient was transported to an area hospital.

Wednesday, April 26

Squad 61 dispatched to the 800 block of Longview Avenue for a car seat check on three vehicles. The crew verified that all the car seat bases were installed correctly.

Thursday, April 27

Engine 61 and TVEMS responded to the 200 block of 2nd Street for a medical. TVEMS assumed patient care and the crew helped with loading the patient onto the cot.

Engine 61 and TVEMS were dispatched to the 500 block of Mountain Avenue for a medical. TVEMS and E-61 assumed patient care, then loaded the patient for transport to a local hospital.

Engine 61 and TVEMS were dispatched to the 1700 block of 4th Street for a medical. TVEMS assumed patient care and the crew helped load the patient for transport to a local hospital.

Friday, April 28

Engine 61 and TVEMS responded to the 900 block of 5th Street for a medical. TVEMS assumed patient care. The crew assisted with loading the patient for transport to a local hospital.

Engine 61, Squad 61, and TVEMS responded to the intersection of LCR 10E and 1st street for a motor vehicle accident with injuries. Both parties refused transport.

Engine 61 and Squad 61 responded to the 1500 block of Sun River Rd for a residential alarm fire. The homeowner said that the alarm had been set off from a burning pizza.

Engine 61, Squad 61, Battalion 61, and TVEMS responded to the intersection of County Road 8 and 13 for a motor vehicle accident with injuries. TVEMS assumed patient. Both patients refused transportation to a local hospital.

Saturday, April 29

Engine 62 responded to the 500 block of Nesting Eagle Dr for chirping smoke detectors. E-62 was met outside by the homeowner saying the detectors were going off, but he couldn’t see or smell anything in the house. E-62 crew checked the house and found a water leak in the basement bedroom that had spread and activated a smoke detector. E-62 crew was able to silence the system and turn the water off to the house. The crew recommended that the property owner call a plumber.
