Friday, August 1

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call on Fifth Street.

BFPD responded with Johnstown Fire to a grass fire in the area of mile marker 252, northbound lane of Interstate 25. The crew found a 200’X 200’ grass fire.

BFPD responded with Johnstown Fire to a motor vehicle accident on Interstate 25 at mile marker 253. There were no reported injuries.

Saturday, August 2

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a bicycle accident on W. CR 21 and W. CR 4. One person was injured and transported.

Sunday, August 3

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call on WCR 3 and Highway 60. An athlete participating in the Ironman Triathlon was experiencing chest pain and was transported.

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call on Caballero Street. The patient was transported.

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call on Sundown Court. The patient was transported.

Monday, August 4

BFPD responded to a report of a house explosion in the 15000 Block of Parrish Ranch Road. A homeowner in the area reported a loud explosion west of their residence.

Tuesday, August 5

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call for a sick person in the 18000 Block of WCR 3. One patient was transported.

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call for a sick person in the 19000 Block of WCR 1. One patient was transported.

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call in the 17000 Block of WCR 5. One patient was transported.

Wednesday, August 6

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call for a person with breathing problems in the 200 Block of Second Street. One patient was transported.

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call for a person found unconscious in the grass on the side of the road at the intersection of Seventh Street and Lake Avenue. The patient was assisted to their residence and did not want further medical care or treatment.

Thursday, August 7

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call for a patient who had fallen in the 1400 Block of Fourth Street. The crew assisted the patient back to their recliner.

BFPD responded with Johnstown Fire to a reported structure fire in the 3100 Block of Argyll. No fire was found.

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call for a patient with an injured ankle in the 900 Block of Kansas Ave.

Friday, August 8

BFPD responded to a fire alarm in the 700 Block of Gateway Park Lane. No fire was found.

BFPD responded with TVEMS and Johnstown Fire to a motor vehicle accident on I-25 at mile marker 252. While in route to the accident, a second motor vehicle accident was reported at mile marker 250. The second motor vehicle accident was not found.

Saturday, August 9

BFPD responded to a carbon monoxide alarm in the 1600 Block of Willow Drive. The detector was past expiration and needed to be replaced.

Sunday, August 10

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call for a person who had fallen and dislocated their hip in the 800 Block of Seventh Street. The patient was transported.

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call for chest pain in the 300 Block of Mountain Avenue. The patient was transported.

Tuesday, August 5

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call for a sick person in the 18000 Block of WCR 3. One patient was transported.

Wednesday, August 13

BFPD responded to a grass fire at Yellowstone Road and US Highway 287. There was a 300’ by 25’ fire in the shoulder of the highway. The crew extinguished the fire.

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call in the 800 Block of Seventh Street. One patient was transported.

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call for falls in the 800 Block of Franklin Avenue. One patient was transported.

BFPD responded with Mountain View Fire and Johnstown Fire to a grass fire off of Weld County Road 7. There was a two to three acre grass fire with farm equipment burning near some oil wells. The crews extinguished the fire. Read article at CBS Denver [1]

BFPD responded to Weld County Road 7 for a report that said the fire had flared back up. No fire was found.

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call for a sick person in the 1200 Block of Arapahoe Avenue.

Friday, August 15

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call for a sick person at Berthoud Living Center.

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call for a sick person at Berthoud Living Center. One patient was transported.

BFPD responded with TVEMS and CSP (Colorado State Patrol) to a motor vehicle accident on I-25 at mile marker 252.

BFPD responded with TVEMS, Johnstown Fire, and Johnstown Police to a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of East Highway 56 and the NE Frontage Road.

Saturday, August 16,

BFPD responded to an outside gas leak at Meadowlark Drive and Alpine Ave. A back hoe had cut a 4” gas line. BFPD advised Xcel of the leak.

BFPD responded with TVEMS to the Valley Dirt Riders entrance for a motor vehicle accident. One patient was transported.

BFPD responded with Lyons Fire to an outside smoke investigation. No fire was found.

Sunday, August 17

BFPD responded with TVEMS and LCSO (Larimer County Sheriff’s Office) for an unknown problem in the 5400 Block of Glen Drive. One patient was transported.

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call for sick person in the 1200 Block of Arapaho Avenue. One patient was transported.

BFPD responded with CSP and TVEMS to a motor vehicle accident on I-25 at mile marker 252. No injuries were reported.

Monday, August 18

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call for a person who had fallen in the 100 block of Sioux Drive.

Tuesday, August 19

BFPD assisted TVEMS and LCSO (Larimer County Sheriff’s Office) with a medical at the intersection of Seventh Street and Mountain Avenue.

Wednesday, August 20,

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call for falls at Berthoud Living Center. One patient was transported.

BFPD responded with Excel Energy for a gas line that had been hit by a construction crew in the 1600 block of Mount Meeker Drive. Excel clamped the leaking gas line.

Thursday, August 21

BFPD responded with TVEMS, Johnstown Fire, and CSP (Colorado State Patrol) to a motor vehicle accident in the northbound lanes of I-25 at mile marker 250. No injuries were reported. The fire crew cleaned up a small fluid spill and stayed on scene until the tow truck arrived.

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a motor vehicle accident on I-25 in the southbound lanes at mile marker 249. No injuries were reported.

BFPD assisted TVEMS and LCSO with a medical call in the 200 block of First Street. One patient was transported.

Friday, August 22,

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call for a stroke in the 1000 block of County Road 17. One person was transported.

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call for a person with breathing problems in the 200 block of Second Street. The individual was transported.

BFPD was cancelled en route to a medical call at the south dam of Carter Lake.

BFPD responded to a smoke investigation in the 900 block of Gunn Avenue. A resident was burning small tree branches and was informed to obtain a permit next time they planned to burn.

Saturday, August 23

BFPD responded with TVEMS and LCSO to a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of CR 10E and First Street. One patient had to be extricated from the vehicle and was transported.

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call for falls in the 1300 block of Fourth Street.

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call for chest pain at Berthoud Living Center. One patient was transported.

BFPD responded to a residential fire alarm in the 900 block of Fourth Street. The resident was remodeling and throwing the smoke detectors away. The crew assisted in removing the batteries.

BFPD assisted TVEMS and LCSO with a medical call in the 3900 block of County Road 10. One patient was transported.

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call for traumatic injuries at Turner Middle School. One patient was transported.

BFPD assisted TVEMS and LCSO with a medical call for unconscious person in the 2000 block of Caballero Street.

Sunday, August 24

BFPD was cancelled en route to a motor vehicle accident with injuries in the 4000 block of County Road 13. The accident was actually in a different location that was in Loveland Fire’s jurisdiction.

BFPD assisted LCSO with a smoke investigation in the 700 block of County Road 8. The resident was burning but it was well contained and mostly complete. The fire crew informed the resident that they needed a permit next time they burned. All units cleared.

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call for breathing problems in the 800 block of Franklin Avenue. One patient was transported.

BFPD responded to a smoke investigation at the intersection of Third Street and Bunyan Avenue. The crew found a small area of leaves and grass clippings burning. A citizen reported that he had accidently started the fire with his lawn mower. The crew extinguished the fire.

Monday, August 25

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call for falls in the 1600 Block of Mountain Avenue. One patient was transported.

BFPD and LCSO responded to a call for illegal burning in the 1000 Block of Franklin Avenue. The fire was in a fire pit and legal.

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call for unconscious/fainting in the 1200 Block of Aspen Drive. One patient was transported.

Tuesday, August 26

BFPD responded to a vehicle fire at US Highway 287 and County Road 17. The vehicle had a blown radiator and a tow was in route.

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call for a person with abdominal pains off County Road 23E. One patient was transported.

BFPD responded with TVEMS and LCSO to a medical call in the 800 Block of 8th Street.

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call for unconsciousness in the 1400 Block of River Glen Road. One patient was transported.

Wednesday, August 27

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call in the 5000 Block of Iowa Road.

BFPD responded to a call for a tree that had fallen on a power pole wire in the 1600 Block of County Road 8. Poudre Valley REA was contacted.

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call for a person having breathing problems in the 200 Block of 2nd Street. One patient was transported.

Friday, August 29

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call at Berthoud Living Center. One patient was transported.

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call for a sick person in the 4100 Block of Highplains Drive. One patient was transported.

Saturday, August 30

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a motor vehicle accident on I-25. No accident was found.

BFPD was dispatched to a medical call in the 1800 Block of County Road 31. Loveland Fire took the call since it was in their fire district.

BFPD responded with Johnstown Fire and CSP (Colorado State Patrol) to a motor vehicle accident on I-25 at mile marker 250. No injuries were reported.

Sunday, August 31

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call for falls in the 1400 Block of 4th Street.

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call for a sick person in the 200 Block of 2nd Street. One patient was transported.

BFPD responded to a citizen assist in the 1200 Block of Aspen Drive. A model airplane was stuck in the tree but the airplane was too inaccessible and too unsafe to retrieve.

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a motor vehicle accident in the 2300 Block of County Road 15. A single vehicle had run into a power pole. One patient was transported. Poudre Valley REA was contacted and the vehicle was towed.
