Sunday, Jan. 1
Engine 61 dispatched to the 800 block of Franklin Ave for a medical. The crew checked patient vitals and medical history. TVEMS arrived shortly after and took over patient care. Engine 61 assisted TVEMS with loading the patient onto a cot. TVEMS transported patient to a local hospital.
Engine 61 and TVEMS were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident on E. Highway 60. The crews arrived on scene and verified there were no injuries or hazards. CSP arrived shortly after released the crew.
Monday, Jan. 2
Station 1 received a walk-in medical. This was for a patient who was having trouble breathing. TVEMS arrived on scene and assumed patient care. Engine 61 assisted with loading the patient onto the cot and into the back of the ambulance. TVEMS transported the patient to a local hospital.
Engine 61 responded to I-25 near Exit 250 for a single car into a barrier. They found a sedan with moderate front end damage; with 1 party still inside. The crew assisted TVEMS with the removal of the driver from the car and loaded patient for transport. CSP arrived on scene and cleared E61.
Engine 61 was dispatched to the intersection of Hwy 287 and LCR 8 for a single vehicle that hit a pole. The vehicle had moderate damage to the front end and appeared to have all parties out. TVEMS checked with the driver for injuries; he refused medical care. The crew checked the car for hazards and traffic control. LCSO arrived on the scene and requested that the crew remain on the scene for traffic control.
Tuesday, Jan. 3
Squad 61 responded to the 100 block of E. Michigan Avenue for a medical. TVEMS assumed patient care, and the patient walked to the cot.
Engine 62 responded to the 1000 block of LCR 23E for a fall victim. The resident reported no injury, no loss of consciousness and said that he just tripped. The crew helped him to his feet.
BC-61 was dispatched to the Berthoud High School for a patient with a dislocated elbow. The man was in the wrestling room. TVEMS assumed patient care and the patient was loaded into the ambulance for transport.
Squad 61 responded to the 1000 block of 4th Street for a person with breathing problems. TVEMS assumed patient care and the crew helped with loading of the patient for transport.
BC-61 responded to the intersection of Berthoud Parkway and Hwy 287 for a 2-vehicle accident with heavy damage. One person was loaded into the ambulance for transport. Engine 61 remained on scene to assist with blocking traffic while LCSO performed their investigation and measurements.
Wednesday, Jan. 4
Squad 61 responded to the 2000 block of Weld Cty Road 46 for a patient with breathing problems. The decision was made to transport the patient to the hospital.
Engine 61 responded to the 1000 block of Alpine Avenue for a detector problem. Engine 61 located the detector and deemed it faulty. The detector was disconnected and replaced with another combination detector. The crew then proceeded to replace all the batteries in all of the detectors that were located in the home.
Thursday, Jan. 5
Engine 62 was dispatched to the 1000 block of W Cty Road 14 for a person having a medical issue. Care was transferred to TVEMS at which time the patient was loaded onto the cot for transport.
Squad 61 responded to the 1000 block of 4th Street for a person who was not feeling well and wanted to be transported to a local hospital. TVEMS assumed patient care and the crew assisted with loading the patient for transport.
Friday, Jan. 6
Squad 61 responded to the 200 block of 2nd St for a person who had fainted. The crew began patient evaluation and transferred care to TVEMS. The crew assisted with vitals along with loading the patient into the ambulance.
Engine 61 and TVEMS were dispatched to the 800 block of Longview Ave for a medical. TVEMS began patient evaluation while Engine 61 retrieved the gurney. Patient was transported to a local hospital
Engine 62 and TVEMS were dispatched to the block of 4000 Highplains Dr for a medical. Engine 62 assisted TVEMS with obtaining medical history and vitals. The patient declined transport.
Engine 61 responded to a possible gas leak around the 100 block of Tavner Ct. Engine 61 found no elevated levels of gas within the home, and the residents went back inside.
Engine 61 and TVEMS were dispatched to the 1300 block of 4th St. for a medical. Engine 61 assisted TVEMS with obtaining patient evaluation and loading the patient into the ambulance for transport to a local hospital.
Engine 61 and TVEMS responded to a medical for dislocated knee in the 2100 block of Breckenridge Dr. TVEMS successfully reset the patient’s patella and cleared Engine 61.
Saturday, Jan. 7
Engine 61 and TVEMS dispatched to a medical call for a person with breathing problems in the 100 block of Sioux Dr. Engine 61 began a patient assessment and transferred care to TVEMS. Engine 61 assisted TVEMS with loading the patient into the ambulance for transport to a local hospital.
Engine 62 responded to a medical in the 9000 block of Cottontail Rd. Once TVEMS arrived they obtained patient care and Engine 62 assisted with the transportation of the patient to a local hospital.
Engine 61 was dispatched to the 1700 block of 4th St for a service call. Engine 61 entered the residence and were told that the oven had an “orange glob” coming from the inside and the homeowner had turned the oven off. Engine 61 opened the oven and found debris that had ignited and self-extinguished. Debris was found to be against the electrical heating element. Engine 61 informed the homeowner to not use the oven until all debris was removed from the oven and the oven cleaned.
Sunday, Jan 8
Engine 61 was dispatched to the 800 block of Prairiestar Dr. for a medical. Engine 61 and TVEMS arrived on scene to find a patient who had fallen from the bed and needed help getting up. TVEMS and Engine 61 assisted with lifting the patient and getting the patient situated back into bed.

Squad 61 responded to the 500 block of Mayo Court for a patient with abdominal pain. The crew assisted TVEMS with loading the patient for transport.
Squad 61 responded to Love’s Travel Stop for a person not feeling well.
Tuesday, Jan. 10
Squad 61 dispatched to the 4000 block of S. Garfield Avenue for a person with breathing problems. The crew assisted TVEMS with loading the patient for transport to a local hospital.
Squad 61 along with TVEMS responded to the 800 block of Birdie Drive for a person not feeling well. The crew assessed patient evaluation. Patient was transported to a local hospital.
Wednesday, Jan. 11
Berthoud Fire responded to Berthoud Care and Rehab for a medical.
Engine 61 dispatched to NB I-25 for a 4-vehicle accident. CSP stated that there were no injuries. Leaking oil was found coming from a trailer involved. The crew built a dam of absorber to stop the leak from running downhill. The trailer door was forced, and the oil was identified as cooking oil. All vehicles were shut off and secured.
Citizens assist in the 500 block of Royalty Court for a lift assist.
Thursday, Jan. 12
Citizens assist to the 800 block of E. Cty Road 8 for a goose that was alive but had been in the same spot since the day before. Squad 61 donned ice rescue suits and determined the ice was stable and thick enough to support the crew’s weight. They grabbed the goose from the middle of the lake and brought it to shore. With the goose removed from the ice and human safety accounted for, all units cleared.

Friday, Jan. 13
Engine 61 and TVEMS responded to a medical in the 200 block of 2nd St. TVEMS assessed the patient.
Engine 61 and TVEMS were dispatched to the 1300 block of Glenview Dr. for an ankle injury. E61 and TVEMS began patient evaluation and loaded patient for transportation to a local hospital.
Engine 61 dispatched to the 2000 block of Tabor St for a patient that had fainted. TVEMS began patient evaluation. The patient declined an ambulance ride to the hospital and was transported by personal vehicle.
Engine 62 responded to a medical in the 5000 block of Beverly Dr. TVEMS began patient evaluation, while Engine 62 got the cot ready for patient transport to a local hospital.

Saturday, Jan. 14
Engine 61 and TVEMS were dispatched to I-25 for a 5-car accident. The crews checked for injuries and found none. Engine 61 stayed on scene until the vehicles were moved from the traffic lanes.
Engine 61 and TVEMS responded to a medical call for a person having chest pain while sitting in traffic on N bound I-25. TVEMS began patient evaluation while Engine 61 remained on scene for assistance.
Engine 62 and TVEMS were dispatched to the 1000 block of Navajo Pl for a patient who had fallen. There were no obvious injuries upon but for the safety of the patient they decided to transport the patient to a local hospital.
Sunday, Jan. 15
Engine 61 responded to a gas leak in the 200 block of 2nd St. The crew found a gas stove turned on. Crews turned off the stove and continued ventilating the building. Once ventilation was complete, the crew turned over occupancy to the homeowner.
Engine 61 and LFRA responded to the 1300 block of Big Hollow Ln for a building fire. E-61 staged for assistance while LFRA crews made entry and extinguished the fire.
Engine 61 and TVEMS were dispatched to the 1000 block of Woodcock St for a medical. E-61 assisted TVEMS with patient assessment.
Engine 62 dispatched to a single vehicle accident on W County Road 12. The crews arrived on scene to find the vehicle off the roadway and on its roof. The driver was found walking around the scene and had a small laceration to the finger and knee.
January 17 – 23
Monday, January 17
Engine 62 responded to the 900 block of Berthoud Peak Drive for a 93-year-old woman with high blood pressure. The crew was obtaining patient history and vitals, when TVEMS arrived. Patient care was transferred, and the crew helped with loading of the patient for transport.
Squad 61 dispatched to the 600 block of Mountain Avenue for a 56-year-old woman who was sick and needed to be transferred to a local hospital. The crew helped with loading of the patient for transport to a local hospital.
Berthoud Fire responded to I-25 mm 252 for a seven-vehicle accident, rear end style. Engine 61 remained on scene to assist Colorado State Patrol with traffic control. Paramedics checked for injuries and found none. All vehicles involved were towed or driven to Exit 245 for a CSP investigation.

Squad 61 responded to the 1000 block of WCR 36 for a 73-year-old man having chest pains. TVEMS assumed patient care, and the crew aided with packaging the patient for transport to a local hospital.
Squad 61 and TVEMS were dispatched to the 500 block of Country Road for a 75-year-old man who was sick. The crew assisted moving the patient to the cot and loading the patient into the ambulance for transport.
Berthoud Fire responded to the 900 block of Franklin Avenue for a lift assist for an 88-year-old man.
Squad 61 dispatched to the 700 block of Franklin Avenue for a 67-year-old woman who had fallen and hurt her knee. TVEMS assumed patient care. The patient was loaded into the ambulance for transport.
Squad 61 and TVEMS were dispatched to the 1000 block of Skimmer Street for a 61-year-old woman who had fallen and hurt her wrist.
Squad 61 responded to 42nd Street and Larimer County Road 15 for a motor vehicle accident. A single vehicle was off the road into a power pole with moderate damage. All parties appeared to be out and not trapped. There were no active hazards, and no one injured. Squad 61 remained on scene until the arrival of Larimer County Sheriff deputies.
Squad 61 dispatched to the 1000 block of 4th Street for a 74-year-old woman who had fallen on the ice. Upon assessing the patient, TVEMS determined she needed to be transported to a local hospital.
Berthoud Fire responded to the 1000 block of Biffle Court for a sick person, a 58-year-old man with breathing problems. The patient was loaded into the ambulance for transport to a local hospital.
Squad 61 responded to the 300 block of S. County Road 13 for an 89-year-old man who needed a lift assist back into bed.

Squad 62 dispatched to the 2000 block of Pheasant Run for a 94-year-old woman not feeling well. The crew obtained a history from the patient and her daughter. The crew assisted packaging and loading the patient into the ambulance for transport.

Berthoud Engine 62 responded to the 2000 block of Taras Court for a 76-year-old man with breathing problems. The crew assisted with obtaining vitals and packaging the patient for transport to a local hospital.
Berthoud Squad 61 responded to the Berthoud Living Center for a medical assist.
Squad 61 responded to the 500 block of Windom Peak Lane for a 52-year-old man with diabetic problems. TVEMS assumed patient care, and the crew was cleared from the scene.
Friday, January 21
Engine 61 dispatched to the 2100 block of Burbank Street for a 69-year-old man who had fallen. The crew began patient assessment and transferred care to TVEMS. The patient was transported to the hospital via personal vehicle.
Engine 61 responded to the 300 block of S. County Road 13 for a lift assist.
Engine 61 dispatched to the 200 block of 10th Street for a medical on a 78-year-old man. The patient was evaluated and transported to a local hospital.

Saturday, January 22

Engine 61 dispatched to the 300 block of S County Road 13 for a sick person. TVEMS assumed patient care. The crew helped with loading the patient onto a cot and into the ambulance for transport to a local hospital.
Engine 61 dispatched to I-25 mm 250 SB for a two-vehicle accident with injuries. TVEMS evaluated the patients. One patient was loaded into the ambulance for transport. The crew cleaned up debris and fluids, and vehicles were moved off the roadway.
Engine 61 dispatched to the 20000 block of Weld County Road 3 for a 74-year-old woman with abdominal pains. The crew obtained vitals and transferred patient care to TVEMS. The patient was loaded into the ambulance for transport to a local hospital.
Sunday, January 23
Engine 61 dispatched to the intersection of Mountain Avenue and 4th Street for a motor vehicle vs. pedestrian accident. The crew set up patient contact and began assessing the pedestrian for injuries. TVEMS arrived, and the patient was placed on a cot and loaded into the ambulance for transport to a local hospital.
Engine 61 dispatched to the intersection of Mountain Avenue and 8th Street for a motor vehicle accident with LCSO on scene. On scene found a two-motor vehicle accident with moderate damage. All parties were standing outside of the vehicles with LCSO investigating. TVEMS evaluated all parties reporting injuries. The crew checked for hazards and cleaned up debris from around the accident. Once the vehicles were moved from the roadway, Engine 61 cleared the scene.

Monday, January 23
Squad 61 responded to the 200 block of Dorothy Drive for a baby that was having a hard time breathing. The crew assisted TVEMS with loading the mother and baby into the ambulance.
Citizens assist to the 200 block of 2nd Street for a woman who had locked her keys in the car with it running. E-61 arrived on scene and saw that the car window was free floating glass and not within a window frame. The citizen was informed that due to the makeup of the window and there not being a medical emergency within the vehicle; we could not take on the liability of unlocking it. She said that her phone was located in the car and asked if we could call a locksmith for her. The locksmith stated that they dispatched a technician to that address.

Engine 61 responded to the Berthoud Care and Rehab Facility for a medical.
Wednesday, January 25
Engine 61 responded to the 200 block of 2nd Street for a patient with abdominal pain. TVEMS arrived and assumed patient care. The crew assisted TVEMS with gathering patient information and loading the patient for transport to a local hospital.
Squad 61 dispatched to the 1000 block of 6th Street for a medical. The crew monitored patient vitals until TVEMS arrived. The crew assisted the patient in walking outside to the ambulance. The patient was then transported to a local hospital.
Service call to install a booster seat for a grandmother in the 1000 block of Maple Drive. The crew went to the house where the grandmother watched our Car Seat Technician install the booster seat and had no further questions.
Engine 61 responded to the 2000 block of Garfield Avenue for a medical. The crew assisted with obtaining vital signs and a patient medication list for TVEMS. They retrieved the stretcher for TVEMS and helped load the patient for transport.
Engine 61 dispatched along with BC 61 and TVEMS for a single vehicle rollover in the 15000 block of N. 115th Street. The vehicle was in a field with 2 parties out of the vehicle. There were no hazards and both occupants refused medical attention by TVEMS. Colorado State Patrol arrived and cleared BCSO and E61 from the scene.
Squad 61 responded to the 200 block of 2nd Street for a medical. The crew helped the patient to her feet, then sitting her down into a wheelchair. They retrieved the cot from the ambulance and the patient was transported to a local hospital.
Thursday, January 26
Engine 61 and TVEMS responded to the 1000 block of 6th Street for a medical. The crew obtained the stretcher from the ambulance and assisted the patient to be loaded for transport.
Squad 61 dispatched along with TVEMS to the 1000 block of French Hill Drive for a medical. S-61 prepared the patient for transport to a local hospital.
Engine 61 responded to the 3000 block of Timeless Trail for a medical. The crew assisted TVEMS with assessing the patient, and then the patient was walked to the ambulance and was transported to a local hospital.
Friday, January 27
Engine 61 responded to Berthoud High School for a medical. TVEMS assumed patient care, while the crew assisted with preparing the patient for transport to a local hospital.
Engine 62 dispatched to the 3000 block of Meining Rd for a medical. TVEMS evaluated patient as the crew assisted with the cot for transport to a local hospital.
Saturday, January 28
Engine 61 and TVEMS were dispatched to the 500 block of N. Highway 287 for a motor vehicle accident. The crew arrived on scene to find 2 passengers hooking up a tow strap to the vehicle. The driver of the vehicle said there were no injuries, there was no damage to the vehicle, and they were going to pull the vehicle out with a truck.
Engine 61 and TVEMS responded to a medical in the 2000 block of Cooperland Blvd. TVEMS assumed patient care while the crew prepared the cot for transport to a local hospital.
Engine 61 responded to a carbon monoxide leak in the 4000 block of Page Place. E-61 arrived on scene to find the family sitting in their truck outside of the home. The owner reported issues with the furnace not working throughout the day and CO detector had activated. Upon entry 78 ppm of CO were observed in the house. Access was then made to the crawl space where the furnace was located. The CO monitor had maxed out at 499 ppm the crawl space. Xcel dispatched to the scene and accessed the crawl space and found levels well over 1000 ppm. There was a leak identified in the exhaust of the furnace and it needed to be shut down along with the gas for the night. The owner of the home was advised to get an HVAC tech to the house next day.
Sunday, January 29
Engine 61 and TVEMS responded to the 1500 block of Willow Dr. for a list assist. The crew and TVEMS assisted the patient back into bed.

January 30 -31
Monday, Jan. 30
Squad 61 responded to the 100 block of Tavner Court for a person who had fallen. TVEMS gathered patient information while Engine 61 retrieved the cot to load the patient for transport.
Berthoud Fire, along with multiple other agencies, responded to the 200 block of 42nd Street SW for a duplex attic fire. LCSO evacuated occupants while the crews began fire attack. Loveland made access into the attic space and made a successful attack on the fire. The fire was knocked down and crews began work on mop up.
Engine 61 responded to I-25 mm 251 for a motor vehicle accident on the shoulder of the north bound lanes with no injuries. The crew secured power to the car and found no other hazards on scene.
Engine 62 dispatched to the 3000 block of Mallard Creek Road for a person who had fallen. The crew obtained patient history, baseline vitals and transferred care to TVEMS. E-62 prepared the patient for transport to a local hospital.

Tuesday, Jan. 31
Engine 61 dispatched to the 500 block of Wild Honey Drive for an exterior gas leak. The homeowner said that she could smell gas in the back yard. The crew entered the back yard and found no odor or signs of gas on the air monitor; however, a small leak was found above the regulator that did not register on the air monitor. Dispatch informed Xcel Energy to respond. No gas was found inside the residence, and Engine 61 remained on scene to monitor the leak. Xcel arrived on scene to repair the connection.
Engine 61 responded to the 700 block of S. Berthoud Parkway for a detector. The homeowner stated that there was one smoke alarm that didn’t have the light illuminated. The crew removed the detector and found that the battery was installed incorrectly. With the battery in the correct position, the detector began to function properly. The crew checked all the other detectors and tested the system.
