Engine 62 responded to a medical call on Singing Waters Ct. for a woman who had fallen and was found lying in the bushes up against the house. The crew began obtaining vitals and transferred patient care to TVEMS once they arrived. The patient was loaded for transport to the hospital.
BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call on Talons Reach Run. The woman was ill and was transported to the hospital.
BFPD assisted a citizen with a smoke detector on Cowbell Drive.
Saturday, July 2
Squad 2 dispatched to a cardiac arrest/death on LCR 4. The patient was deceased.
Squad 1 assisted a citizen on Kansas Ave with a faulty smoke detector.
Engine 61 dispatched to an unconfirmed wildland fire on Yellowstone Road. The property owner was completing an agriculture burn but the crew found that the piles were out of burn compliance. The crew advised the homeowner of the burn restrictions, and the owner extinguished the fire.
Squad 61 and TVEMS were dispatched to 2nd St for a person who had fallen. The crew assisted TVEMS with the patient care and then cleared the scene.
Engine 62 responded to a medical call on Meining Rd for a sick person. The crew took command until TVEMS arrived. The patient was transported to the hospital.

BFPD and TVEMS were dispatched to 6th St. for a diabetic medical problem.

Monday, July 4
Engine 61 responded to the Apple Leaf Assisted Living on 1st Street for an 87-year-old woman with back pain. TVEMS assumed patient care and the crew assisted with packaging the patient for transport.
Engine 616 dispatched to the 900 block of Meadowlark Drive for an 88-year-old woman not feeling well and wanting to be transported to a local hospital. TVEMS arrived on scene and took patient control. The patient was loaded into the ambulance and transported.
Engine 61 dispatched to the 700 block of Gateway Park Lane for an 88-year-old with heart problems. The patient was loaded into the ambulance for transport.
Engine 61 responded to the 2000 block of Breckenridge Drive for an 87-year-old woman for fainting. TVEMS initiated patient care and the crew assisted with preparing the patient for transport.
Engine 616 responded to the 400 block of Ellie Way for a 99-year-old woman. The patient was laying on the couch in the living room. TVEMS arrived and took over patient care. The crew helped with loading the patient for transport.
Engine 62 responded to the 600 block of S. County Road 23 for a 71-year-old woman who had fallen in the barn. The patient said she needed help up due to having bad knees. The ambulance crew remained on scene to document a patient refusal form.
Engine 616 arrived on scene of a grass fire in the 18000 block of Weld County Road 3. The approximately ¼ acre fire was in light flashy fuels including scrub brush and a group of trees torching and spreading moderately to the west. The crew began attacking the fire with a quick knock down and cause of ignition has not been determined. The crew was able to confirm all hot spots were extinguished.
Tuesday, July 5
Engine 61 responded to the 400 block of Iowa Avenue for an 85-year-old woman who had fallen. TVEMS assumed patient care and the crew assisted with loading of the patient for transport to a local hospital.
Engine 61 dispatched to the 1000 block of Mt. Meeker for a carbon monoxide (CO) detector issue. A chirping detector was found in the basement. The crew Informed the homeowner that they would have to buy a new detector as the battery in the unit had leaked and the detector was no longer serviceable. All smoke detectors were tested and indicated normal operation.

Thursday, July 7
Berthoud Fire and TVEMS responded to the Berthoud Living Center for a medical.
Engine 62 responded to the 300 block of Goose Hollow Road to replace a battery in homeowner’s smoke detector. The crew found the detector and determined it had reached the end of life. The homeowner will let us know when they purchase a new one, then a time can be set up to install it.
Engine 61 dispatched to the 800 block of Humboldt Peak Lane for an 80-year-old man who slipped and fell and needed a lift assist.
Friday, July 8
Squad 61 responded to the 200 block of 2nd Street for a 73-year-old woman not feeling well. TVEMS arrived and took over patient care and the crew assisted with loading the patient for transport.
Engine 62 arrived on scene with TVEMS for a patient who had fallen.
BFPD assisted with a medical call on W. County Road 14. TVEMS arrived and assumed the patient care.
Engine 62 responded to Nebraska Ave. for a female who had fallen. The crew assisted TVEMS with the patient care and helped load the patient to be transported to the hospital.
Squad 61 assisted a homeowner on Hubble Street with their smoke alarms.
BFPD assisted Loveland Fire with a commercial structure fire on Eisenhower Blvd in Loveland.
Squad 61 responded to a medical call for a 90-year-old man on Meining Road. TVEMS arrived and assumed the patient care. The crew helped with loading the patient to be transported.
Engine 62 responded for a sick person on Paramount Drive. The crew began the patient care and transferred the care to TVEMS when they arrived. The patient was transported.
Squad 61 dispatched to a medical call on Great Plains Ave. A woman had been bitten by a dog and was assessed by TVEMS. The fire crew helped with moving the injured dog into the car to be taken to the vet.
Saturday, July 9
BFPD responded to a confirmed residential structure fire on Highway 60 and Weld County Road 7. Loveland Fire and Rescue and Front Range Fire assisted with fire extinguishment. After the fire was extinguished, overhauled, and turned over to investigators, the crews turned the property back over to the owner.
Squad 61 responded to a medical call for a person with seizures on W. County Road 8. The crew helped TVEMS with loading the patient to be transported to the hospital.
Engine 61 and TVEMS responded to Berthoud Drug for a female who had fallen and was unconscious. The crew assisted with the patient care and loading her to be transported.
Sunday, July 10
Squad 61 dispatched to a medical call on 9th St. TVEMS arrived and assumed patient care. The patient was loaded in the ambulance to be transported.
Squad 62 responded with TVEMS to a medical call on S. COUNTY Rd 21 for an 80-year-old man. The crew assisted with the patient care and then cleared the scene.
Engine 62 and TVEMS were dispatched to a medical call on Martingale Drive for a 45-year-old female. The crew helped with patient care and loading to be transported.
Engine 61 responded to a medical call on 7th St. The crew aided TVEMS with the patient care.
Squad 61 dispatched to a medical call for an elderly male who had fallen. The patient only needed help with a lift.
Engine 61 and TVEMS responded to a motor vehicle accident on S. Highway 287. The crew found 3 vehicles off the road, but none were involved in an accident. It appeared to be a disabled vehicle that was attended by people on scene.

Monday, July 11
Engine 62 responded to the 500 block of 2nd Street for a 78-year-old man who had fallen and hit his head. TVEMS assumed patient care, and it was decided that the patient would be transported to the hospital by his wife.
Engine 61 responded to the 200 block of 10th Street for a 79-year-old man who needed to be transported to a local hospital. The crew assisted with packaging the patient for transport
Tuesday, July 12
Squad 61 dispatched to the 1000 block of Murrlet Street for a 78-year-old man having chest pains. TVEMS quickly obtained vitals and determined the patient needed further evaluation. He was able to walk to the front porch where he was secured on the cot. He was then loaded into the ambulance.
Wednesday, July 13
Engine 61 dispatched to the 3000 block of Celestial Drive for a CO alarm going off. The crew was met by the homeowner who was waiting outside. She stated that the alarms were going off all night and did not know what was wrong. The crew entered the home and checked for CO using the air monitor. After the house was found to have no CO, all the detectors were checked, and one was found to be malfunctioning on the main floor. The smoke detector was removed, and the homeowner was advised to replace it.
Squad 61 responded to the 200 block of 2nd Street for a smoke detector that was malfunctioning. The crew changed out the batteries in the rest of the detectors and informed the homeowner that she would need to replace the problem detector. The homeowner ordered additional smoke detectors for the entire house.
Squad 61 responded to the 700 block of 4th Street for a 39-year-old man who needed to be transported to a local hospital by ambulance. The patient was able to walk, so the crew helped him walk to the cot outside.
Berthoud Fire responded to Hays Market for a 22-year-old man having a seizure. The crew found the man in the aisle, and command was transferred to TVEMS. The patient was loaded into the ambulance and transported to a local hospital.
Engine 61 responded to a report of a bonfire in the 800 block of 7th Street. The homeowner met the crew outside and stated they were having a campfire in their backyard fire-pit. The crew found an extinguished fire in a permanent steel firepit surrounded by flagstone in the background. The homeowner was within compliance and within her rights to have a fire in her pit. Being a legal fire and with no hazards present, Engine 61 was not needed on scene.
Thursday, July 14
Engine 61 dispatched to 2nd Street and Versaw Avenue for a reported grass fire. A powerline had started small smoldering fires in the mulch of the storage business. A man was out with an extinguisher, and there was no active fire present. The crew noticed that the lines were still actively arching. With no venues at risk, crews positioned to a safe place and awaited the arrival of Xcel Energy personnel to secure power. Once Xcel arrived on scene, they quickly secured power and made the scene safe for the fire crew to extinguish remaining hot spots.
Friday, July 15
Citizen assist for a car seat installation at Station 1.
Berthoud Fire dispatched to the intersection of County Road 10E and 15C for a motor vehicle accident. TVEMS assumed patient care while the fire crew checked for hazards. There were no hazards found, and the patient refused care by TVEMS. LCSO cleared Berthoud Fire from the scene.
Engine 61 responded to the 400 block of Nebraska Avenue for a 92-year-old woman with chest pain. The crew obtained baseline vitals and patient history. TVEMS assumed patient care. The crew assisted with loading the patient into the ambulance for transport.
Engine 62 responded to the 8400 block of N County Line Road for a law enforcement request for medical. The deputy said that there had been a fight and both parties needed to be checked out. The crew evaluated both parties and found no injuries. The individuals were turned back over to the deputies, and Engine 62 left the scene.
Saturday, July 16
Engine 62, along with Loveland Fire and TVEMS, were dispatched to Pinewood Reservoir for a technical rescue for a person who had fallen. Larimer County Parks personnel were on scene with one park’s unit hiking into the area to locate the injured hiker. Loveland Engine 476 and Berthoud Engine 62 hiked approximately 30 minutes with the rope rescue kit to reach the injured party. The crews began patient care while they waited for additional personnel to help carry the patient out. The patient was packaged for removal on the stokes litter. All crews assisted transporting the patient back to the trailhead where the patient was loaded into the ambulance for transport to a local hospital.
Engine 61 responded to the 4800 block of Meining Road for a bonfire. The crew found some property owners extinguishing a fire. The crew confirmed extinguishment and informed the property owners of the burn ban in effect for unincorporated Larimer County and of the legal burning procedure and permit requirements.

Monday, July 18
Engine 62 responded to the 3000 block of W. County Road 8 for a 75-year-old woman with chest pains. TVEMS assumed patient care and the crew helped with loading the patient for transport.
Engine 62 dispatched to the 2000 block of Sedona Hills Drive for a 64-year-old woman who had been ill for a couple of days. The crew walked the patient to the ambulance.
Engine 61 responded to the 4000 block of Iowa Avenue for a CO alarm going off. The two occupants of the building were outside and identified themselves as the tenants. The occupants said that the CO alarm had gone off, and then they exited the structure. They both denied any medical problems and did not want to be evaluated. There was no one else in the house. The crew traced the problem back to the water heater. The structure was ventilated until readings measured 0 ppm. The occupants were advised not to use the hot water until the water heater was serviced by a professional. The homeowner was also notified of the issue.
Squad 61 responded to the 900 block of Glenview Drive for an 87-year-old man having breathing problems. The patient was placed into his wheelchair and taken down a flight of stairs and outside to the ambulance.
Squad 61 responded to the 400 block of 42nd SW Street for a 50-year-old woman for an overdose. Command was transferred to TVEMS, and the crew assisted with packaging the patient for transport to a local hospital.
Tuesday, July 19
Homeowners called Station 1 to report they needed help changing a smoke detector on a vaulted ceiling in the 2000 block of Jones Place.
Squad 61 responded to the 500 block of Windom Peak for a lift assist for a 72-year-old man.
Engine 61 along with Squad 61 dispatched to I-25 South for a two-vehicle accident. A sedan had been rear ended by a semi. The semi had no damage and the sedan had minor damage to the rear and a broken rear windshield. No vehicle fluids or hazards were found.
Berthoud Fire responded to the Berthoud Living Center for a medical.
Engine 62 responded to 900 block of S. Larimer County Road 31 for a 39-year-old woman with an injured knee. The crew obtained vitals and lifted her to the pram and packaged her for transport.
Engine 61 dispatched to the 900 block of 4th Street for CO alarms going off. Readings of 30 ppm CO were found on the main floor. The structure was opened to ventilate the CO. Xcel Energy was notified and arrived on scene and identified issues that could have contributed to the high levels. They explained the findings to the homeowner and recommended the next steps to take. CO was ventilated from the home and CO detector batteries were replaced with new batteries. Homeowners were notified to call 911 if CO alarms go off again.
Engine 62 responded to the 17000 Weld County Road 1 for a downed power line. A tree branch had fallen on live electrical lines, just north of the given address. The crew waited for PVREA, and after they confirmed everything was de-energized and no hazard existed. Command was ended and E-62 cleared.
Engine 62 dispatched to the 1000 block of Greenwood Drive for detector going off. The crew removed the detector and found it was a year old, in good condition with good battery. The crew blew it out with compressed air and returned it to the system and verified the proper operation of the system.

Engine 61 responded to the 600 block of Mountain Avenue for a 76-year-old man who needed to be transferred to a local hospital.
Engine 61 dispatched to the 2000 block of Night Sky Drive for a 59-year-old female who had back pain and could not walk. The crew aided TVEMS will packaging the patient for transport.
Engine 62 assisted TVEMS with loading an 82-year-old woman in the 100 block of S. County Road 23 for transport to a local hospital.
Squad 61 responded to Love’s Travel Stop for a 27-year-old male who needed transported to a local hospital. The crew assisted with loading the patient into the ambulance.
Thursday, July 21
Engine 62 responded to the 3000 block of Arleigh Drive for an 84-year-old woman who needed a lift assist.
Engine 61 dispatched to the 400 block of Ellie Way for a lift assist.
Mutual aid with Mountain View Fire on I-25 for a vehicle fire. Command needed a blocking rig on the interstate. Engine 61 provided blocking for the fire scene.
BC-61 responded to County Road 15 and County Road 6C for a single vehicle rollover, heavy damage, vehicle out in the field, all parties out. Squad 61 began to evaluate the driver of the vehicle. The only complaint was lower left leg pain. The crew assisted with loading the patient onto the pram and into the ambulance. Xcel Energy and PVREA were notified. LCSO arrived on-scene and advised all fire units could clear.
Friday, July 22
Squad 61 responded to the 400 block of Welch Avenue for a lift assist.
Berthoud Fire dispatched to the Berthoud Living Center for a medical.
Engine 62 responded to the 5000 block of Sherman Drive for a woman having breathing problems. TVEMS arrived and took over the patient care.
Engine 61 dispatched to an outside odor investigation on 49th St. SW. The crew was unable to find any odors in the area. Xcel Energy also responded.
Engine 61 responded to a medical call on Victoria St. TVEMS arrived and took over care.
Saturday, July 23
Berthoud Fire responded to the Berthoud Living Center for a medical.
Engine 61 responded to a motor vehicle accident on West Larimer County Road 2E. A box truck was found with heavy damage and one person was lying on the shoulder of the roadway. The crew assisted TVEMS with the patient who was transported.
Engines 62 and 626 responded to a reported grass fire on Westport Ave. The crew found evidence of a small fire in the backyard of the residence which had slightly smoke stained the fence. The units verified that the fire was extinguished, and the scene was turned over to the homeowner.
Engine 61 dispatched to a detector call on Kansas Ave. The crew found that all alarms were showing normal readings. The crew cleared out the detectors with a can of air and tested the system which was operating normally.
Squad 61 and TVEMS responded to a medical call on West County Road 14. The crew assisted with loading the patient to be transported.
Engine 62 responded to a reported tree down on power line on 4th St. A small branch was found balancing on a streetlight power line. The crew cut back the branch which fell from the line. The line was confirmed to be undamaged, and Engine 62 cleared the scene.
Engine 61 responded to a medical call on TPC Parkway for a woman having seizures. The crew helped TVEMS with the patient care. The patient refused transport.
Sunday, July 24
BFPD responded to a medical call on Wark Ave. for chest pain. The crew aided TVEMS with loading the patient to be transported.
Engine 61 dispatched for a medical call on Sun River Road. The crew assisted TVEMS with loading the patient to be transported.
Engine 62 dispatched to the 8000 block of Rock Hill Road for a woman in cardiac arrest. The patient was receiving CPR from LCSO. TVEMS assumed the patient care and after treatment determined the patient was deceased.

Engine 62 responded to a reported grass fire on LCR 23. The crew found a 4’ by 4’ burned area on the east side of the road which had been extinguished by a responsible party. The crew mopped up the area to ensure no heat remained and checked that there were no other hot spots. The origin and cause are undetermined.
Squad 61 dispatched to 42nd St. SW for a person with breathing problems. The crew assisted TVEMS with vitals and loading the patient into the ambulance.
Tuesday, July 26
Engine 61 and TVEMS responded to I-25 mm250 for a motor vehicle accident. Two vehicles were found with minor damage. One person was injured and transported.
Squad 61 dispatched to Turner Ave and 6th St. for a medical assist. TVEMS took over patient care.
Engine 61 responded to the 100 block of E. Michigan for a residential fire alarm. Water was found coming from the smoke detector after a rainstorm. The house had no sign of CO, and it was confirmed that the water was soaking the attic above the detector. The crew cleared it of any further smoke and electrical hazards.
Engine 61 responded to a four-vehicle accident at I-25 mm249 NB. One person was found injured and was transported. The crew remained on scene until all vehicles were removed from the Interstate.
Wednesday, July 27
Engine 61 and TVEMS responded to Highway 60 for a motor vehicle accident for a single pickup truck that struck a tree. The crew provided traffic control and helped load one patient for transport.
Squad 61 responded with TVEMS for a cardiac arrest on Ellie Way.
Engine 61 responded to Sara Lynn Lane for an outside gas leak. The crew found that a 2-inch line had been severed. The crew pulled the bumper line for fire protection, no reading of gas was found near the house. Xcel responded and the crews were cleared to go back into service.
Engine 61 responded to a residential fire alarm. The crews investigated two homes for possible damage due to a lightning strike. The crew found a smoke detector in one home that had been damaged by a power surge due to a lightning strike on the roof below a vent. The crew investigated the attic and was able to determine that there was some charring but no danger of fire. The second home had already contacted their insurance company.
Thursday, July 28
Engine 61 responded to a commercial fire alarm on Garfield Ave. A security employee for the building believed it was caused by the recent storm. The crew investigated the building and found a lot of flooding inside the building which caused damage to the ceiling. There was visible water still coming from the detector. The system was reset and confirmed that there were no hazards present on scene.
Engine 62 responded to a report of smoke and CO alarms going off on Cooperland Blvd. The crew found the fire alarm system actively sounding. There were no signs of CO, and the alarm system stopped alerting on its own. The crawl space was clear of any signs of fire, and the residence was turned back to the homeowners.
Squad 61 assisted a homeowner on Holmes Place with smoke detector concerns.
Friday, July 29
Squad 61 assisted TVEMS with a walk-in patient at Station 1.
Engine 61 responded to a motor vehicle accident on Weld County Road 1. A single vehicle with a trailer detached was found with moderate to heavy front-end damage. A single patient was transported to the hospital.
Squad 61 assisted a citizen with a faulty detector on Glacier Ave.
Engine 61 assisted a homeowner needing assistance with a battery change in their detector on 2nd St.
Squad 61 dispatched to Victoria Street for a medical stage. The crew supplied personnel for TVEMS and LCSO.
Squad 61 dispatched to the 3400 block of Curlew for a medical assist. LCSO and TVEMS were on scene.
Saturday, July 30
Squad 61 crew helped an elderly woman on Nebraska Ave who had fallen.
Squad 61 responded with TVEMS for a medical call on 4th St. The patient was transported.
BFPD responded to a two-vehicle accident on I-25, southbound lanes. One passenger was injured and transported.
BFPD dispatched to smoke alarms activated on Arapahoe Avenue. The activation of alarms was due to a water leak on the main floor which affected the detectors in the basement. The detector was disconnected from the system due to water damage.
Engine 61 responded to a CO alarm activation on South Iowa Ave. Upon entering the residence, the CO sensor started detecting the presence of Carbon Monoxide. The source was a damaged exhaust pipe from the water heater. The residence was opened for ventilation. The residents were to contact a technician to check the water heater. The crew left when the readings were back to normal.
Engine 61 dispatched to a reported bonfire in a backyard, producing lots of smoke on 9th Street. The crew found a small fire pit in the backyard and found no violations.
Sunday, July 31
BFPD dispatched to a wildland fire near Wild Wing Drive and County Road 12. Two separate fires were found, one near the intersection of Wild Wing and CR12 and the other started north of the area. Due to structures being threatened Engine 626 setup on the south fire to save the structure. The north fire was approximately 1-2 acres moving at a slow rate of spread. Due to a second alarm, many units responded to the incident, including Front Range, Longmont, Loveland, Lyons, Mountain View, Poudre, and Windsor fire departments. With mop up complete on both North and South divisions, the crews began to clear the scene. Crews patrolled overnight to ensure containment. This fire is under investigation for cause and origin of the fire.
