Wednesday, June 1

BFPD responded to the 3900 block of High Plains Avenue for a female who had fallen and had knee pain. TVEMS took over patient care.

Berthoud Fire was dispatched to the 200 block of 2nd Street for a sick person. The patient’s daughter requested assistance moving the patient from her bedroom to a personal vehicle to go to a doctor’s appointment.

BFPD responded to the 800 block of Longview Avenue for a sick person. TVEMS assumed patient care.

Wednesday, June 2

Berthoud Fire responded to Berthoud Living Center for a medical.

Thursday, June 3

BFPD responded to the 800 block of Jay Place for a sick person. TVEMS assumed patient care.

BFPD responded to the 200 block of County Road 31 for a sick person. The fire crew assisted TVEMS with patient care, the patient was transported.

Berthoud Fire responded to Grandpa’s Café for an 80 year old female having severe muscle spasms. Upon arrival of TVEMS, BFPD turned over care. Patient was transported.

Friday, June 4

BFPD responded to the 3000 block of County Road 3 for a medical assist. Berthoud Squad 11 assisted TVEMS with packaging of the patient for transport.

Monday, June 6

Berthoud Fire responded to Berthoud Living Center for a medical assist.

BFPD responded to the 600 block of 6th Street for a male having back pain. Patient care was turned over to TVEMS.

BFPD responded to a medical call on McColm Drive. The crew assisted TVEMS with patient care. Patient was transported.

Tuesday, June 7

Berthoud Fire responded to the 3000 block of County Road 4 for a medical. BFPD turned over patient care to TVEMS. Patient was transported.

Wednesday, June 8

BFPD responded to Weld County Road 1 and Weld County Road 40. A couch was on fire that had been started by an agricultural burn. Engine 16 assumed command and used the booster line to extinguish the fire. All other hotspots were extinguished.

Thursday, June 9

Berthoud Fire was dispatched to a single vehicle accident on Weld County Road 3. All parties were out of vehicle with no injuries. There were no hazards in the roadway. Command confirmed Colorado State Patrol was enroute. Fire units cleared by Colorado State Patrol.

BFPD was dispatched to the 8000 block of Rock Hill Road for a snake bite. First to arrive on scene was Larimer County Park Rangers. The Rangers reported that the patient had been bitten on the lower part of her leg. TVEMS transported the patient.

Berthoud Fire responded to the 1000 block of Madison Avenue for a smoke detector activation. The alarm was due to a malfunction. The crew changed the batteries and the detector still did not work. The crew advised the homeowners to purchase a new detector and to contact BFPD so that we can install it.

Friday, June 10

Squad 11 provided assistance to the homeowner in the 1000 block of Madison Avenue, to install a new smoke detector. Smoke alarms were in proper working condition when Squad 11 cleared the scene.

Berthoud Fire was dispatched to Berthoud Living Center for a medical assist.

Saturday, June 11

BFPD responded to I-25 mm 251 SB for a single vehicle accident with moderate damage from rear-ending another vehicle. It appeared that the hood on the vehicle had blown up while the vehicle was in motion, breaking the front windshield. TVEMS assumed patient care. The crew put down some material to soak up the leaking coolant.

Sunday, June 12

BFPD was dispatched to the 500 block of 8th Street for a medical assist. TVEMS arrived shortly and assumed patient care.

Tuesday, June 14

BFPD responded to Berthoud Living Center for a medical assist.

Berthoud Fire was dispatched to the 700 block of Wilfred Road for a lift assist.

BFPD responded to the 5000 block of Weld Cty Road 42 for a medical assost. TVEMS took over patient care. The patient was transported.

Berthoud Fire was dispatched to the 3000 block of Sandia Lane for a female with breathing problems. The crew assisted TVEMS with packaging the patient for transport.

BFPD responded to 800 block of Holmes Place for a male having chest pain. TVEMS took over patient care.

BFPD was dispatched to the 300 block of Turner Avenue for a medical. The crew assisted TVEMS with packaging the patient for transport.

Wednesday, June 15

BFPD was dispatched to the 500 block of 3rd Street for a male having chest pains. The crew found a male sitting on a chair outside of Ace Hardware with tightening in his chest. Patient care was turned over to TVEMS.

BFPD responded to the 800 block of Ranchand Drive for a gas leak. The homeowner reported that when he opened up his home, found a very strong smell of gas. He noted that his gas meter had been stuck and was leaking. Engine 1 arrived and found no readings inside of the home. The meter was checked and was found to be leaking between the shutoff and the home. The crew turned off the gas and awaited XCEL Energy personnel to arrival. XCEL Energy arrived to repair the line.

Thursday, June 16

Berthoud Fire was dispatched to Berthoud Living Center for a medical assist.

BFPD responded to the 9000 block of Yellowstone Road for a medical call. The crew assisted TVEMS with packaging of the patient.

BFPD responded to I-25 mm 252 for a small grass fire on the off ramp. Engine 1 was assigned fire suppression.

BFPD responded to the Berthoud Pool for a traumatic injury to a 37-year-old male. Patient care was turned over to TVEMS.

Berthoud Fire responded to the 1000 block of Wilshire Drive for a medical. The crew assisted TVEMS with patient care.

Friday, June 17

BFPD responded to the Berthoud Animal Hospital for a female that had fallen. Squad 11 assisted TVEMS with patient care.

Berthoud Fire was dispatched to Hays Market for a medical call. A 41-year-old female was unconscious.  TVEMS took over patient care.

BFPD responded to the 2000 block of Hwy 56 for a fall. An 86-year-old man had fallen in the garage. Upon arrival of TVEMS, BFPD turned over patient care. Patient was transported.

Berthoud Fire was dispatched to Hays Market for a 55-year-old female who had fallen. TVEMS advised that assistance from BFPD was not needed.

Berthoud Fire was dispatched to a 2-car motor vehicle accident  at Pyramid Peaks and E. Hwy 56. There was moderate damage to both vehicles. TVEMS was on scene, no injuries were reported. Engine 1 cleaned up a small fluid spill.

BFPD responded to the 300 block of Larimer Cty Road 23 for a medical call. When TVEMS arrived, it was confirmed that the male party was deceased. The scene was then turned over to Larimer County Sheriff.

BFPD was dispatched to Berthoud Living Center for a medical.

Saturday, June 18

Berthoud Fire responded to 100 block of S. Hwy 287 for a single passenger vehicle accident. TVEMS transported 3 patients to McKee Hospital.

BFPD responded to the 900 block of Mountain Avenue for a medical. TVEMS assumed patient care.

Berthoud Fire was dispatched to the south shore boat ramp at Carter Lake. An individual there had type two diabetes and was complaining of dizziness and numbness in his hands. TVEMS assumed patient care.

Monday, June 20

BFPD responded to a mutual aid call on Larimer County Road 14 for a grassfire. By the time Berthoud Fire arrived,  Loveland Fire had extinguished the small fire.

A call came in to the station from Excel Energy stating a gas line was cut on Rotor Way and they needed assistance to make sure scene was safe. The home’s occupants were evacuated and the homeowner stated that they could smell gas inside, had opened windows. Engine 2 crew shut off the gas to the meter and monitored for signs of gas inside. The crew had no indications of elevated levels or signs of gas inside. The homeowner was informed that with the gas shut off and the house ventilated is was safe to go back in and leave the gas off until Excel could arrive.

Tuesday, June 21

BFPD responded to Larimer County Road 2E for a medical assist. When TVEMS arrived, they assumed patient care.

Berthoud Fire was dispatched to Hwy 287 for a 2-vehicle accident. Chief 2 arrived and established command. TVEMS assumed patient care. Larimer County Sheriff arrived and began investigation. Both vehicles towed and all hazards were cleared.

BFPD responded to E. Highway 60 for a grass fire near the intersection of Hwy 60 and County Road 11. Chief 2 reported a small ditch burn was unattended. Loveland Engine 1 arrived on scene and command was transferred to them.

Berthoud Fire was dispatched to Larimer County 8E for a single motorcycle accident. Engine 2 found a single motorcycle on its wheels, off the side of the roadway. TVEMS assumed patient care and the male rider was transported.

BFPD responded to the 1000 block of 4th Street for a 70 year old female who had fallen. The crew assisted TVEMS with packaging the patient for transport.

Berthoud Fire responded to I-25 MM252 NB for a single vehicle accident. Upon arrival Chief 2 reported a single vehicle with heavy damage at the MM252 overpass. Engine 1 was assigned the duty of extrication of the female who had her legs pinned. The injured person was removed and loaded for transport. The scene was turned over to Colorado State Patrol.

BFPD responded to the 800 block of 10th Street for a sick person. TVEMS assumed patient care.

Wednesday, June 22

Berthoud Fire responded to Berthoud Living Center for a medical assist.

BFPD responded to the 300 block of Welch Avenue for a medical assist. The crew found a 93 year old male who had fainted in his front yard. TVEMS assumed patient care.

BFPD was dispatched to the 700 block of 2nd street for a smoke detector activation, no fire, unintentional. Chief 2 met with employee who stated it was caused by an aerosol can that was sprayed in break room. The system was reset.

Thursday, June 23

BFPD responded to the 1000 Willow Drive for a fall victim who needed a lift assist.

Berthoud was dispatched by Larimer County Sheriff for an unknown problem at W Cty Road 8E and N County Road 23E. Engine 1 arrived on scene and found the patient being escorted by Larimer Cty Sheriff in handcuffs to the ambulance. The crew assisted TVEMS in loading the patient.

BFPD responded to the 900 block of Cty Road 21 for a medical. Patient care was turned over to TVEMS.

Berthoud Fire was dispatched to the 2000 block of Luvesta Court for a medical assist. TVEMS took over patient care.

BFPD responded to the 1800 block of Cabestro Street for a grass fire. The crew found a grass fire that had been extinguished by the homeowner. The homeowner had witnessed the lighting strike that started the fire.

Berthoud Fire responded to the 2100 block of Ladera Road to a lighting fire started in a cottonwood tree. The tree fell down from the fire, the crew extinguished the fire.

BFPD responded to the 2000 block of Charro Street for a possible structure fire caused by a lighting strike. The crew found an exterior fire and extinguished it. The fire was confined to the two studs and insulation.

Friday, June 24

Berthoud Fire was dispatched to I-25 mm 250NB for 3-car motor vehicle accident. All parties were out of the vehicles with no injuries. All 3 vehicles were moved from the lanes of traffic. Colorado State Patrol arrived and took over command.

BFPD responded to the 800 block of Longview Avenue for a medical. Upon arrival of TVEMS, BFPD turned over care. Patient was transported.

Saturday, June 25

Berthoud Fire was dispatched to the 2400 block of Horseshoe Circle for a medical. The crew assisted TVEMS with packaging the patient for transport.

BFPD responded to the 5000 block of Sedona Hills for a male who had fallen from his horse, and lost consciousness. Bystanders reported a several minute long loss of consciousness resulting in the fall. TVEMS assumed patient care with Engine 2’s help with loading patient.

Engine 2 and TVEMS responded to an emergency medical request from Larimer Cty Park Rangers. A male in the campsite had extremely low blood sugar and was experiencing diabetic issues. TVEMS administering dextrose, and the patient’s blood sugar recovered.

Monday, June 27

BFPD responded to the 600 block of 6th Street for a diabetic problem. TVEMS assumed patient care.

Berthoud Fire was dispatched to I-25 mm 249NB for a motor vehicle accident, with no injuries. The crew found a rear end type accident and moved the vehicles to the shoulder. Colorado State Patrol assumed command.

BFPD responded to Hwy 287 and Cty Road 4 for a motor vehicle and motorcycle accident. All personnel assisted with getting the patient loaded. The driver of the car denied medical care. Once the highway was clear of hazards, the scene was turned over to Colorado State Patrol.

Berthoud Fire was dispatched to 800 block of Spartan Avenue for a single vehicle accident. TVEMS assumed patient care.

Tuesday, June 28

BFPD responded to 5th Street and Mountain Avenue for a single vehicle accident. The vehicle had minor damage and all parties were out of the vehicle with no injuries.

Wednesday, June 29

BFPD responded to the 700 block of Wilfred Road for a lift assist.

Berthoud Fire was dispatched to the 400 block of Lakritz Avenue for a medical. TVEMS took over patient care.

Engine 16 was requested by Loveland Fire to respond to 900 S. Taft Avenue for a brush fire. E16 was assigned to the west division and engaged the quickly spreading fire. The E16 crew was able to extinguish the west flank of the fire. After extensive mop up E16 was cleared by command and returned to service in Berthoud.

BFPD responded to Berthoud Living Center for a medical assist.

Thursday, June 30

Berthoud Fire was dispatched to Mayo Court for a sick person. TVEMS assumed patient care.

BFPD responded to the 1500 block of Cty Road 17 for a person with back pain. The crew assisted TVEMS with packaging the patient for transport.

BFPD responded to the 700 block of Douglas Place for a CO detector that was chirping. The crew replaced the batteries, and advised the homeowner to replace all the detectors inside the home due to the age of the units.
