Monday, March 2

BFPD responded to a carbon monoxide alarm on N. 95th Street. The fire crew searched with the CO detector and nothing was found. It was determined the detector was outdated and needed to be replaced.

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call for cardiac arrest on Exeter Street. The patient was transported.

Thursday, March 5

BFPD and TVEMS responded to a medical call for a person who had been hit by a closing garage door sustaining injury to the left side of the body. The patient was transported.

Saturday, March 7

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call for breathing difficulties on Weld County Road 3. The patient was transported.

BFPD responded to a medical call for a person inside a vehicle on Highway 287 and LCR 8. The patient was transported.

BFPD responded with TVEMS and Berthoud Police to a medical call in the 5600 block of LCR 8E.

BFPD responded to a report of a structure fire on LCR 29 and LCR 18E. The fire was found to be a small campfire in the backyard under control.

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call for chest pain at Berthoud Living Center. The patient was transported.

Sunday, March 8

BFPD responded with TVEMS at the request of Berthoud Police to a medical call on Oak Drive.

Monday, March 9

BFPD responded to a commercial fire alarm on 2nd Street. An employee met the fire crew upon arrival saying this was a false alarm. The alarm was reset and the crew cleared the scene.

Tuesday, March 10

BFPD assisted a citizen on Maple Drive with replacing batteries in the smoke detectors in the residence.

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical request at the Berthoud Living Center. The patient was transported.

BFPD responded to a report of a carbon monoxide detector that was activated on N. CR 23. The crew was unable to locate any signs of CO in the residence. This appeared to be from a faulty detector.

BFPD responded to a report of a single vehicle rollover accident on Interstate 25 at mile marker 248. There were no injuries reported.

Wednesday, March 11

BFPD assisted Larimer County Sheriff’s office with a medical check on Caballero Street.

BFPD cleaned up a gas spill on Mountain Avenue in front of Fire Station One.

Thursday, March 12

BFPD responded to a report of a semi truck on fire on Interstate 25 at mile marker 252. The crew was unable to locate an accident.

Friday, March 13

BFPD responded to a reported grass fire on LCR 8 and LCR 23. This was a controlled burn.

Saturday, March 14

BFPD and TVEMS responded to a medical call for chest pain on 2nd Street. The patient was transported.

Sunday, March 15

BFPD responded to a motor vehicle accident on Highway 287 at mile marker 327. A single vehicle was found with moderate front-end damage. There were no injuries reported.

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call for abdominal pain on 5th Street. The patient was transported.

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call at the Berthoud Living Center. The patient was transported.

Monday, March 16

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call on East County Road 2. The patient was transported.

BFPD assisted TVEMS and Berthoud Police with a medical call on East County Road 12.

Tuesday, March 17

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call for a patient who had fallen on East Colorado Avenue.

BFPD and TVEMS responded to a medical call on Weld County Road 5.

BFPD assisted a homeowner on West County Road 2E with their smoke detectors.

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call on Springhill Lane. The patient was transported.

BFPD and TVEMS assisted a female who had fallen and needed assistance on Colorado Avenue.

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call for a male who had fainted inside of Hay’s Market. The patient was transported.

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a fall victim in the 1100 block of Shelby. The patient had fallen and sustained a laceration to his head. The patient chose to get a ride to an emergency facility for further treatment.

BFPD responded to a motor vehicle accident on Interstate 25 at mile marker 252. This was a three-vehicle accident with minor damage to the vehicles. No injuries were reported.

Wednesday, March 18

BFPD responded to a motor vehicle accident on Interstate 25 at mile marker 253. A vehicle had run off the roadway and was located in the embankment. There was minor damage to the vehicle and no injuries were reported.

BFPD responded to a CO detector alarming in a residence on Wark Avenue. The fire crew found levels of carbon monoxide in the residence coming from the boiler. The crew shut off the gas and ventilated the house. TVEMS responded to evaluate one of the residents. The homeowner was advised to leave the boiler shut off until a technician could repair it.

Thursday, March 19

BFPD responded to a motor vehicle accident on Welch Avenue involving a pickup that had crashed into a tree. The driver had fled the scene.

Friday, March 20

BFPD responded to a report of a CO detector alarming on 2nd Street. The crew found a low reading of carbon monoxide. The manufacturer of the trailer home was contacted and they crew and the owner were informed that some units were linking the carbon monoxide to the spray in the insulation, which as it cures has a tendency to emit gas. Before the crew left the readings were back to 0.

Saturday, March 21

BFPD responded to a medical call with TVEMS on Wark Avenue for a patient having seizures. The patient was transported.

BFPD responded to a smoke detector activation at High Mountain Classics on 1st Street. This was a false alarm.

BFPD responded to a medical call on Foothills Drive for a fall victim. The patient was not injured.

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call on Massachusetts.

Monday, March 23

BFPD and TVEMS responded to a medical call at Turner Middle School. The patient was transported.

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call on 8th St. The patient was transported.

BFPD and TVEMS responded to a medical call on 2nd Street. The patient was transported.

Tuesday, March 24

BFPD responded to a motor vehicle accident on Highway 287. A vehicle had lost a tire and was disabled in the center median. There were no injuries reported.

BFPD responded to a motor vehicle accident on Highway 287 and LCR 2E. Two vehicles sustained moderate damage. All five of the occupants of the vehicles were found to be uninjured.

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call at Berthoud Living Center.

Wednesday, March 25

BFPD assisted Johnstown Fire with a residential structure fire on Gypsum Lane in Johnstown.

BFPD responded to a motor vehicle accident on Interstate 25 at mile marker 252. A single vehicle was found on the frontage road and had hit a guard rail. The vehicle sustained moderate damage. One ocupant was injured.

BFPD responded to a medical call for a person having a stroke at the Apple Leaf Assisted Living. The fire crew assisted with the medical care and in transporting the patient.

Thursday, March 26

BFPD responded to a medical alert alarm on County Road 8. This was a false alarm.

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call for diabetic problems on Rapid Court.

Friday, March 27

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call for a fall victim on N. 83rd Street. The patient was transported.

Saturday, March 28

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call on CR 27E. The patient was transported.

BFPD responded to a motor vehicle accident on 1st Street and CR 12. This was a minor two-vehicle accident. There were no injuries reported.

BFPD and TVEMS responded to a medical call for a stroke on LCR 27E. The patient was transported.

BFPD responded to a report of a bonfire on LCR 23E. Due to not having a permit and the current weather conditions the property owner was asked to extinguish the fire.

Sunday, March 29

BFPD and TVEMS responded to a male patient who had fallen in his garage on LCR 8. The patient was unable to get up so the crew assisted the patient back into the house. No further care was needed.

BFPD and TVEMS responded to a medical call on 4th Street. The resident was deceased.

BFPD responded to a motor vehicle accident on Highway 56 and WCR 7. This was a two-vehicle accident, one vehicle was on its top and the other vehicle was in the ditch. Both vehicles sustained heavy damage. The occupants of both the vehicles were injured, one person was transported.

Tuesday, March 31

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call on Second Street.

BFPD responded to a reported burn, out of control on County Road 7. The crew was unable to locate a fire.
