Tuesday, Nov. 1
Engine 61 responded to the 900 block of 4th Street for a sick person. Thompson Valley Emergency Medical Services (TVEMS) assumed patient care, and the crew stood by for assistance. After TVEMS assessment the patient said he wanted to be transported and walked out to the ambulance.
Engine 616 dispatched to a wild-land fire west of I-25 with no further information. They found a 10’x10’ leaf pile that was smoldering and unattended in a ditch. The crew extinguished the illegal burn and spread it out in the ditch. The crew tried to contact a homeowner. No one answered the door or was seen on the property.
Squad 61 along with TVEMS was dispatched to a medical assist law at A & W. A woman had driven her car into a concrete barrier outside of the restaurant. Following evaluation, TVEMS cleared SQ61 personnel from the scene.
Squad 61 responded to the Berthoud Care and Rehab for a medical.
Engine 61 dispatched to the 1000 block of Mt. Meeker Avenue for a medical stage request by Larimer County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO). The crew met with LCSO and the patient on the front porch of the residence. E-61 obtained blood pressure and a pulse rate. TVEMS arrived on scene and assumed patient care. The patient was then walked to the ambulance for transport to an area hospital.
Wednesday, Nov. 2
Engine 62 responded to the 3000 block of W. Larimer County Road 4 for a 75-year-old woman who had fallen. TVEMS assumed patient care, and the crew prepared and packaged the patient for transport to a local hospital.
Engine 61 dispatched to the intersection of Hwy 287 and Larimer County Road 4, for a two-vehicle accident with heavy damage. Both patients were cared for by TVEMS and transported to local hospitals. The crew then cleared the roadway of debris.
Thursday, Nov. 3
Berthoud Fire responded to the Berthoud Care and Rehab for a medical.
Engine 61 responded to the Love’s Travel Center for a 46-year-old man with abdominal pain. The crew, along with TVEMS, walked the patient to the ambulance.
Engine 62 responded to a two-vehicle motor vehicle accident at the intersection of LCR 23E and LCR 4. TVEMS evaluated one patient and no injuries were reported. The crew established traffic control until Colorado State Patrol arrived on scene.
Engine 61 responded to a commercial fire alarm on 4th St. A smoke detector was alarming in one of the apartments in the building. The batteries were replaced, and the detector was then working normally.
Friday, Nov. 4
BFPD helped LCSO with a medical on Woodcock St. until TVEMS arrived.
Squad 62 responded to a medical call on 6000 block of LCR 4. The crew assisted TVEMS with packaging the patient to be transported.
Squad 61 and TVEMS responded to a medical on Delvin St. The crew helped with loading the patient to be transported.
Saturday, Nov 5
Squad 61 responded to a medical call on Katmai Court.
Engine 61 assisted a homeowner on Cooperland Trail with a faulty smoke detector. The system was checked, and the homeowner was advised to replace the detector.

Monday, November 7
Engine 61 responded to a commercial alarm fire in the 700 block of 2nd St. The crew did a complete search of the building and reported no fire or smoke. It was believed to be a faulty heat sensor, and the alarm company was notified.
Engine 61 responded to the 4900 Block of S. Iowa for a child locked in a car.
Squad 61 assisted a citizen with smoke detector batteries on Birdie Drive.
Engine 61 responded to N. County Road 23 to a motor vehicle accident. The crew assisted one passenger with patient care until the arrival of TVEMS. Engine 61 provided traffic control and cleanup.
Engine 62 and TVEMS responded to Lake Hollow Road for a medical call for breathing problems. The crew assisted with loading the patient to be transported to the hospital.
Tuesday, November 8
Engine 61 responded to a medical call on Rosewood Drive. The crew assisted the patient until the arrival of TVEMS. The patient was loaded to be transported.
Squad 61 responded to Longs Peak Ave for a fall victim. The man was found with a laceration on his head due to falling. The crew assisted TVEMS with loading the patient into the ambulance.
Engine 61 responded to a commercial fire at Berthoud Elementary School. The maintenance employee explained they were replacing a damaged electrical motor to the ceiling unit in the school gym when it shorted and caught fire. The fire was extinguished, and the Fire Marshal approved the students to return inside the building. Engine 62 remained on scene to assist an employee who suffered a seizure from the fire alarm strobes. The patient was not transported.
Engine 62 dispatched to an outside gas leak on High Mountain Drive. An excavator had hit a gas line and it was confirmed that the cut line was not visible. The crew stood by until Xcel Energy arrived and secured the gas line.
Engine 62 responded to a two-vehicle accident on Highway 287 and LCR 8. There were no reports of injuries. The crew provided traffic control.
Wednesday, November 9
Engine 61 assisted with a medical call at Berthoud Care and Rehab.
Engine 61 responded to a medical call for a fall on Weld County Road 1. A woman was found sitting on the garage floor after falling and possibly braking her arm. The crew assisted TVEMS with loading the patient to be transported.
Engine 61 responded to Berthoud Primary Care on Mountain Ave. for a woman having heart complications. The crew assisted TVEMS with obtaining vitals and packaging the patient to be transported.
Engine 61 assisted a citizen on Weld County Road 1 with replacing smoke detector batteries.
Engine 61 dispatched to the intersection of Berthoud Parkway and Spartan Avenue for a medical call. A woman was found sitting in the driver seat of her SUV and was not feeling well. TVEMS took over patient care and Engine 61 directed traffic.
Engine 61 dispatched to a medical stage at the intersection of Berthoud Parkway and Highway 287. Two children were in need of evaluation; the engine blocked the incident to protect the scene. TVEMS evaluated the patients, and they were not transported.
Thursday, November 10
Engine 61 assisted TVEMS with a medical call at Berthoud Care and Rehab Center.
Engine 61 and TVEMS responded to the 1100 block of Arapahoe Ave for a cardiac arrest. The 26-year-old patient was found not breathing and unresponsive. CPR was performed until the paramedic pronounced the patient deceased. The scene turned over to LCSO.
Engine 61 and TVEMS responded to a medical on Cooperland Blvd. The patient needed assistance due to weakness.
Friday, November 11
Engine 61 responded to a report of smoke in the vicinity of Parkstone Court and Sweetwater Lane. The engine checked the area, and found nothing.
Engine 61 responded to a medical call on Sioux Drive. The crew began with vitals and patient history until TVEMS arrived and assumed the patient care. The crew assisted with loading the patient for transport.
Engine 62 dispatched for a medical call at the south shore boat ramp of Carter Lake. A 70-year-old man was found with a dislocated or possible broken foot. The patient was transported.
Engine 61 responded to a residential fire alarm on Jones Place. The system had stopped alarming but one detector was found to be faulty. The homeowner was advised to replace the detector.
Engine 61 responded to a medical call on Weld County Road 3 for a woman who had been mauled by a dog. TVEMS and the engine crew assisted the patient and carried her to the ambulance to be transported for further evaluation.
Squad 61 responded to the 1500 block of Hollyberry Street for a 16-month-old girl with breathing problems. The squad performed a patient assessment and care was transferred to TVEMS.
Engine 61 assisted a citizen request for help replacing smoke detectors in her residence on Humboldt Peak Lane. Six detectors were found, batteries changed, and the system was working properly before the crew cleared the scene.
Engine 62 dispatched to an exterior gas leak on S. County Road 29. The crew found a residential home with workers outside who said they had nicked a small gas line. The crew waited for the arrival of Xcel Energy.
Saturday, November 12
Engine 61 responded to 300 42nd St SW, Campion Academy, for a commercial fire alarm. The crew was met by the girl’s dean stating the alarm sounded due to a student using a hair straightener. The crew reset the alarm.
Squad 61 assisted a citizen on 6th St. who had fallen and needed assistance back into bed.
Engine 61 responded to a motor vehicle accident on Weld County Road 5. A single vehicle with minor damage was found sitting upright in a dry ditch with everyone out of the vehicle. There were no injuries reported and the parties confirmed they were able to get the truck out of the ditch on their own.
Sunday, November 13
Engine 61 responded to a fire alarm at Campion Academy. The building was evacuated. The building was cleared of any hazards and the alarms were reset.
Engine 62 and TVEMS responded to a motor vehicle accident on Larimer County Road 10 and 19. A single vehicle was found in the irrigation ditch with minor damage. The vehicle was on its wheels, not in water and unoccupied. It was soon confirmed that a single occupant had returned to the scene in another vehicle and was uninjured.
Squad 61 and Engine 61 responded to a medical call at Love’s travel stop. The crew made initial contact with the patient before TVEMS arrived on scene. The patient was evaluated and TVEMS released Squad 61.
Squad 61 dispatched to a medical on 9th St. for abdominal pain. TVEMS arrived and began evaluating the patient. It was decided that the patient needed to be transported to the hospital for further evaluation.
Engine 61, Squad 61 and TVEMS were dispatched to a medical stage requested by LCSO. An individual was found restrained and uncooperative. The crew assisted with packaging the patient to be transported to the hospital.

Monday, Nov. 14
Engine 62 responded to the 500 block of Nesting Eagles Way for a medical call on an 81-year-old woman. The crew was obtaining patient’s history when TVEMS arrived. Patient care was transferred to TVEMS.
Squad 61 dispatched to the 800 block of Prairiestar Drive for a 36-year-old woman having a seizure. The crew assisted with obtaining the patient’s medications and a history from the patient’s mother. Squad 61 assisted the patient in walking to the ambulance for transport to a local hospital.
Tuesday, Nov. 15
Engine 61 responded to a single-vehicle rollover at the Boulder/Larimer Cty line on Hwy 287. A single occupant was found, self-extricated, and was handed over to TVEMS who transported him to a local hospital.
While Colorado State Patrol cleared us of the above call, another single vehicle rollover was located. The vehicle was on its wheels, and all parties were out of the vehicle with no injuries. Confirmed no fluids leaking or other hazards present.
Engine 62 responded to Grand Market and Berthoud Parkway for a 1” gas line hit with Xcel Energy personnel on scene. The crew placed the engine nearby and talked with the Xcel employee. He said that the leak was minimal and there was no need for fire protection.
Citizens assist at Station 2 for a car seat installation. Mother was comfortable with the proper installation of the car seat and was provided with education materials.
Squad 61 dispatched to the 200 block of 2nd Street for smoke detector problems. The homeowner said the smoke detectors would go off when she cooked bread. The crew looked over the oven and everything appeared to be working properly. Homeowner was advised to use the vent hood when using the oven. If the problem persisted, the homeowner was advised to contact a professional to have a larger hood installed. Smoke detectors were checked and tested. Everything worked properly, and homeowner was advised to get a Carbon Monoxide detector for the home since it did not currently have one.
Wednesday, Nov 16
Squad 61 responded to the 1000 block of 3rd Street for a 22-year-old woman with abdominal pains. TVEMS assumed patient care, and the crew assisted with loading of the patient for transport to a local hospital.
Engine 61 responded to the 1000 block of River Glenn Way for an odor investigation. The homeowner reported a strong odor of something burning around his house with no smell inside. Nothing notable was found using the thermal camera. The source of the odor was not located. The odor seemed like a pelt stove or corn-burning stove. The smell had dissipated by the time E-61 cleared.
Squad 61 responded to a medical stage on I-25 NB mm 249. The crew was greeted by a Mead Police Officer who stated that an off-duty officer pulled over a white SUV because it was swerving all over the road. He also stated that the driver seemed confused when she was pulled over. The patient was 65-year-old woman who denied any chief complaint. TVEMS arrived and took over patient care. The crew helped the patient on to the cot and loaded the patient into the back of the ambulance.
Squad 61 dispatched to the 2000 block of Likens Drive for a lift assist.
Thursday, Nov. 17
Engine 61 dispatched to the intersection of Berthoud Parkway and Hwy 287 for a 3-vehicle accident with heavy damage. E61 blocked south bound lanes and began assisting TVEMS with patient assessment. One patient was rapidly transported to a local hospital and another ambulance was in route for the other two patients. LCSO was on scene, blocking traffic, ordering tows, and beginning an investigation. The Rescue group confirmed no further hazards and began picking up. With all patients transported and other units cleared, the crew assisted LCSO with clean up and waited on tows to reopen the roadway.
Squad 61 responded to the 200 block of 2nd Street for a 74-year-old woman who had fallen and hit her head. TVEMS assumed patient care, and the crew assisted with packaging and loading the patient for transport.
Engine 61 arrived on scene in the 100 block of Willow Circle Drive for a medical. LCSO and the Larimer Cty Coroner were waiting inside the residence. The crew assisted LCSO.
Engine 62 responded to the 9000 block of Yellowstone Road for a 73-year-old man who had fallen, and his chief complaint was hip pain. The crew assisted TVEMS with packaging the patient for transport.
Friday, Nov. 18
Squad 61 responded to a medical call on Hollyberry. The crew began patient assessment until TVEMS arrived on scene and care was transferred.
Saturday Nov. 19
Squad 61 responded to a medical call at Berthoud Care and Rehab.
Squad 61 dispatched to a medical call on 5th St. The patient was needing help after a fall. The crew assisted the patient back into their walker. The crew cleared the scene as no other service was needed.
Engine 61 responded to a patient having seizures on Tenderfoot Drive. The crew assisted TVEMS with the patient care and loading to be transported.

Squad 61 responded to a medical call on Hollyberry Street for a female who had fallen. The crew aided TVEMS with loading the woman to be transported.
Engine 61 assisted a homeowner on Mount Meeker Avenue.
Engine 61 dispatched to a motor vehicle accident on N. 115th Street. The crew found a single vehicle down an embankment, on its wheels, with minor damage. The single occupant was out of the vehicle and not injured.

Engine 62 helped a citizen on LCR 10E who had fallen. The crew helped the patient to her chair.
Engine 61 responded to a medical call on Bruce Drive. The crew assisted with vitals and helped transfer the patient to the cot to be transported.
Tuesday, November 22
Engine 61 responded to the 700 block of S 10th Street for a 6-week-old having breathing difficulties. The crew began assessment until arrival of TVEMS.
Engine 61 responded to a five-car accident on Interstate 25 at mile marker 251 south bound. There was light damage to all vehicles, all occupants were out of their vehicles. Engine 61 checked for injuries and hazards. One patient was evaluated by TVEMS. The crew helped with towing two cars to Loves’ Travel Stop.
Engine 61 responded to a reported vehicle fire in the vicinity of Highway 287 and W Larimer County Road 8. The crew found the vehicle and there were no injuries and no fire. Engine 61 checked for hazards and found none. The scene was left with LCSO.
Wednesday, November 23
Engine 61 responded to a dumpster fire on 42nd Street SW. The crew extinguished the fire and completed overhaul to ensure the fire was completely out before leaving the scene.
Engine 61 responded to a commercial fire alarm on E. Highway 56. A bay door of the tire shop had come off its track and had broken a pipe that fed the sprinkler system. The crew tried to reset the system but was unable to, so the alarm company was notified.
A citizen was assisted at Station 2 for a car seat installation.
Engine 62 responded to a medical call on Sherman Drive. The crew assisted TVEMS with vitals and then loading the patient to be transported.
Engine 61 responded with TVEMS to a medical on Colorado Ave. The patient was transported.
Thursday, November 24
Squad 61 responded to a medical call in the 900 block of Bruce Drive for an 8-day old baby with breathing problems. TVEMS assessed the patient and cleared Squad 61 from the scene.
Engine 62 dispatched to the 1600 block of Diamond Wall Drive for an unconfirmed residential structure fire. Nothing was found and the homeowner was standing outside saying the circuit breaker had popped. The crew entered the house using the thermal imaging camera to search for hot spots behind walls and behind the oven. It was confirmed that there was not a fire lingering behind the walls. The crew recommended to the homeowner that he contact an electrician to further investigate why the breaker popped.
Squad 61 dispatched to the 300 block of E Colorado Avenue for a seizure. TVEMS was already on scene. The crew assisted TVEMS with patient evaluation and loading the patient into the ambulance for transport to a local hospital.
Friday, November 25
Squad 61 responded to the 1600 block of Willow Drive for a laceration. TVEMS assumed patient care. The crew assisted with moving the patient into the ambulance for transport.
Berthoud Fire dispatched to the area of W County Road 8 and S Highway 287 for a single motorcycle rollover accident. The motorcycle was up-right with significant damage. The rider was up and walking around. The crew blocked traffic while the patient was evaluated. TVEMS assumed patient care, and the patient declined medical attention. The scene was turned over to LCSO.
Berthoud Fire dispatched to I-25 exit 250 for a 4-vehicle accident. Engine 61 stopped southbound traffic to allow apparatus to get into position. TVEMS began to evaluate the vehicle occupants at the north accident while BC-61 went to the south accident to check patients for injury. All patients were clear of injuries. With no patients or hazards, the crew helped CSP by having all impacted parties drive their vehicles to Love’s Travel Center parking lot. Once completed, crews once again confirmed that there were no injuries, and CSP cleared Berthoud units from the scene.

Saturday, November 26
Squad 61 responded to the 200 block of 2nd Street for a 74-year-old woman who had fallen. TVEMS assumed patient care, and the crew helped with the assessment. The patient was moved from the floor and onto a recliner.
Squad 61 responded to the 200 block of 2nd Street for a 66-year-old man who was sick. The crew obtained vital signs while TVEMS assessed the patient. The patient was moved to a chair.
Squad 61 dispatched to the 200 block of 2nd Street for a 66-year-old man who was sick. The crew had responded to the address earlier in the day. The crew assessed the patient and care was transferred to TVEMS. The patient was transported to a local hospital.
Engine 61 dispatched to the 300 block of Bronco Court for a medical on a 38-year-old man. The patient was found in the driver’s seat of a vehicle, unconscious but with snoring respirations. LCSO and TVEMS arrived on the scene, and the crew opened the car door. The patient returned to consciousness without medical intervention, and TVEMS assumed patient care. The patient was walked to the ambulance and loaded for transport.

Squad 61 responded to the 1300 block of 4th Street for a patient who had fallen. TVEMS assumed patient care while the crew assisted. It was decided that the patient should be transported for further evaluation.
Squad 61 responded to the 200 block of 2nd Street for a medical. TVEMS assumed patient care and cleared Squad 61 from the scene.
Engine 61 dispatched to I-25 exit 250 NB for a 2-vehicle accident. TVEMS evaluated the patients who reported no injuries. CSP arrived on scene and was able to move one of the vehicles to the right shoulder.

Monday, Nov. 28
Squad 61 responded to the 400 block of Welch Avenue for a lift assist for a 70-year- old man. The crew lifted the patient to a seated position. TVEMS crew took over patient care and obtained vitals.
Tuesday, Nov. 29
Berthoud Fire responded to the Berthoud Care and Rehab for a medical.
Engine 61 dispatched to the 1000 block of Exeter Street for an 88-year-old man who had fallen last night and was still in pain. TVEMS assumed patient care, and the crew helped with packaging and loading of the patient for transport to a local hospital.
Engine 61 responded to the 300 block of 2nd Street for a 74-year-old woman who had fallen. The patient was sitting on the floor in her bedroom. TVEMS assumed patient care, and the crew stood by for assistance. They obtained the cot and secured the patient for transport.
Engine 61 dispatched along with TVEMS to the 900 block of 4th Street for a 45-year-old woman who slipped out of her wheelchair. The crew assisted the patient to her feet and placed her in her chair.
Engine 61 responded to the 1000 block of 4th Street for a 61-year-old woman who was lethargic. The crew prepared the cot, and the patient was loaded into the ambulance for transport.
Wednesday, Nov. 30
Engine 61 responded to the 100 block of Turner Avenue for a 51-year-old woman with abdominal pain. The crew prepared the cot and brought it inside the assisted with loading the patient for transport.
Engine 61 responded to the 1000 block of 4th Street for an 87-year-old woman with chest pains. After TVEMS was done assessing the patient, the patient walked to the cot under her own power. Once the patient was secured for transport, the patient was loaded into the ambulance.
Engine 61 dispatched along with TVEMS for a two-vehicle accident in the intersection of Berthoud Parkway and Hwy 287. One vehicle with minor damage was on the shoulder. This was a non-injury crash with no fluids on the ground but both cars were immobile. LCSO remained on scene to block for the one car that was disable in the middle of Berthoud Parkway.
