 Saturday, Oct 1

Engine 62 responded to a medical call on McColm St. The patient had fallen and hurt his shoulder. The crew assisted TVEMS with loading the patient to be transported to the hospital.

Squad 61 responded to a medical for a 94-year-old on 2nd St. The patient was transported.

Sunday, October 2

Monday, Oct. 3

Squad 61 responded to the 1000 block of Gabriella Lane for a sick person. The crew arrived on the scene and were met at the front door by the patient’s son. They obtained a set of baseline vitals, and a patient history. When TVEMS arrived, patient care was transferred to them. The crew assisted with loading of the patient into the ambulance for transport.

Tuesday, Oct. 4

Squad 61 dispatched to the 900 block of Berthoud Parkway for a 77-year-old man not feeling well. TVEMS assumed patient care while the crew retrieved the cot from the ambulance. The patient was packaged and transported to a local hospital.

Engine 61 responded to Mt. Meeker Avenue for a 2-vehicle accident with minor rear end damage. All parties were out and both cars were out of the roadway. The drivers refused medical evaluations. No hazards from the vehicles were found, and both were drivable.

Squad 61 responded to the 1000 block of Arapahoe for a fall victim. The crew assisted TVEMS with loading the patient onto the cot and packaging for transport.

Squad 61 dispatched to the 100 block of Iowa Avenue for a 74-year-old man who had fallen and needed a lift assist.

Engine 62 responded to the 1000 block of Cedar Drive for a 46-year-old man with breathing problems. The crew found TVEMS in contact with the patient. The crew assisted with packaging the patient for transport to a local hospital.

Engine 62 responded to the 4000 block of Beverly Drive for a 77-year-old woman who had fallen and needed a lift assist.

Wednesday, Oct. 5

Squad 61 responded to the 600 block of Remuda Road for a 43-year-old man having a seizure. TVEMS, along with the crew moved the patient onto the stair chair and then onto the cot. Patient was packaged for transport.

Berthoud Fire dispatched to the 100 block of E. Iowa Avenue for a 74-year-old man who had fallen. TVEMS assumed patient care, and the crew assisted with loading the patient for transport.

Engine 61 responded to the 1000 block of Arapahoe Avenue for a 79-year-old man who had fallen and needed a lift assist back into his chair.

Engine 61 and TVEMS responded to the 1000 block of Murrlet Street for a 59-year-old woman having diabetic problems. The crew walked the patient from the basement to the cot for transport to a local hospital.

Engine 61 dispatched to the 1000 block of Arapahoe Avenue for an 85-year-old man who had fallen and needed a lift assist.

Engine 61 responded to the 18000 Block of Weld Cty Road 3 for a single vehicle rollover. The vehicle was on its wheels with light damage. The driver was out of the vehicle and refused medical and there were no hazards. Due to the driver’s age, crews waited for his mother to release him to her. TVEMS performed refusal paperwork and crews were released by Colorado State Patrol.

Engine 62 dispatched to the 500 block of Hwy 287 for a 2-vehicle accident with moderate damage. There were no hazards and one patient to be transported to a local hospital. Command was transferred to LCSO, and the crew waited on scene until TVEMS departed.

Thursday, Oct. 6

Engine 62 dispatched to the 800 block of 13th Street for an 80-year-old man with severe back pain. The crew assisted TVEMS with obtaining a history and a set of vitals then walked him out the front door to the pram and packaged him for transport.

Berthoud Fire responded to the 500 block of 4th Street to assist TVEMS with a transport to a local hospital.

Berthoud Fire dispatched to the 500 block of Mountain Avenue to assist TVEMS with a 60-year-old man who needed to be transported to a local hospital. The crew packaged the patient and loaded him into the ambulance.

Berthoud Fire responded to the Berthoud Living Center for a medical.

Friday, Oct. 7

Berthoud Fire and TVEMS responded to the 300 block of Canyonlands Street for a 72-year-old man not feeling well. TVEMS assumed patient care, and the crew assisted with loading the patient for transport.

Berthoud Fire responded to the 1000 block of Arapahoe Avenue for a lift assist.

Berthoud Fire and TVEMS dispatched to the Berthoud Living Center for a medical.

Engine 61 responded to 8th St. for a female experiencing chest pain. The crew began assessing the patient until the arrival of TVEMS. The patient was transported to a local hospital.

Saturday, Oct 8

Berthoud Fire responded to the Berthoud Living Center for a medical.

Engine 61 responded to a medical call on Stoneseed Street for a 41-year-old male. The crew assisted TVEMS with packaging the patient for transport.

Engine 61 responded to a medical on 2nd St. TVEMS assessed the patient and determined the need to transport. The crew assisted with placing the patient on the stretcher for transport to a local hospital.

Engine 62 dispatched to a vehicle accident on North Larimer County Road 21. This was a T-bone type collision with moderate damage. All parties were out of the vehicles. Two people were injured, and one was transported. E-62 assisted with loading the patient and assisted LCSO with traffic control.

Squad 61 and TVEMS responded to a 79-year-old-woman on Oak Drive not feeling well.

Engine 61 and TVEMS responded to a medical call on Rolling View Drive. The crew assisted with patient packaging for transport to a local hospital.

Sunday, October 9

Engine 61 responded to a medical call on 2nd St. TVEMS established patient care while Engine 61 crew obtained their stretcher and assisted with packaging the patient to be transported.

Squad 62 assisted a citizen with a car seat installation at Station 2.

Engine 62 dispatched to a smoke investigation in the area of Larimer County Road 23E. LCSO also responded and found slight smoke off Hoot Owl Lane. The crew contacted the responsible party. A fire was burning in an approved burn pit.

Engine 62 responded to Carter Lake Big Thompson campground. A male patient had injured his leg while cutting wood and had severe hemorrhaging. LCSO Deputies were on scene with the patient, applying bandages. Engine 62 obtained vitals until TVEMS arrived and took over patient care. The crew assisted with loading the patient into the ambulance to be transported.

Engine 61 responded to a motor vehicle accident on S. Highway 287 and Berthoud Parkway. This was a two-vehicle accident with moderate damage. Six occupants of the vehicles were assessed by Engine 61 and TVEMS. The crew aided with packaging two people to be transported. The crew then was available for debris clean-up and traffic control.

Oct. 10-16

Monday, Oct. 10

Berthoud Fire responded to the Berthoud Living Center for a medical.

Engine 61 responded to the 1000 block of Arapahoe Avenue for a lift assist.

Squad 61 along, with TVEMS, dispatched to the 1000 block of Arapahoe Avenue for a 79-year-old man with hip pain. The crew assisted with packaging and loading the patient into the ambulance for transport.

BC-61 responded to the 1000 block of Fire Rock Court for a gas line hit by an excavator. Crews pulled the green line for a fire protection line. The gas line was clamped by Xcel Energy, and the flow of gas stopped.

Squad 61 responded to the 200 block of 2nd Street for a 94-year-old man who needed to be seen by a doctor. The patient was loaded into the ambulance and transported to a local hospital.

Tuesday, Oct. 11

Berthoud Engine 61 and TVEMS responded to Banner Health Clinic for a sick person.

Wednesday, Oct. 12

Engine -61 dispatched to the 200 block of 2nd Street to assist TVEMS help a patient back into her house. The patient was placed on her bed.

Berthoud Fire responded to the Berthoud Living Center for a medical.

Engine 61 responded to the 1000 block of Arapahoe Avenue to replace the batteries in smoke detectors. The crew replaced a total of 6 batteries in the home.

Engine 61 dispatched to the south shore campground at Carter Lake for a smoke investigation. The crew located a campfire with a large stump and wood that campers had collected from the beach of the lake. The Park Rangers informed the campers that they could not burn large logs and wood collected from the area. The crew extinguished the fire.

Engine 62 responded to the 4000 block of Rosewood Drive for a lift assist.

Engine 61 and TVEMS responded to the 200 block of 2nd Street for a 60-year-old woman who needed to be transported to a local hospital. The crew assisted with packaging the patient for transport.

Engine 61 dispatched to I-25 mm 250 NB for a single vehicle on its roof. The driver of the vehicle had self-extricated and said he was the only one in the car. TVEMS stated that the driver was refusing medical care and cleared the scene. The crew did not find any hazards present in or around the car and confirmed nobody else was inside. With the car stable, no other hazards, and it being off the road, Colorado State Patrol cleared the crew.

Thursday, Oct. 13

Engine 62 responded to the 4000 block of Foothills Drive for reports on a cut gas line. The crew found the cut line close to the house. The line was cut by contractors employed to put in a new water line. E62 evacuated the house and pulled an attack line for structure protection. Xcel Energy arrived on scene and clamped the line.

Engine 61 and TVEMS responded to the intersection on South Garfield and 35th Street SW for a 2-vehicle accident. Both vehicles had light damage. One person wanted to be checked out at the hospital. The crew assisted with packaging the patient and loading her into the ambulance. With all vehicles out of the road and the hazards addressed, Colorado State Patrol released the crew.

Citizens assist to replace batteries in his smoke detectors in the 3000 block of Nations Way.

Engine 61 responded to the 1000 block of Oak Drive for a patient transport to a local hospital. The crew assisted in securing and loading the patient into the ambulance.

Friday, Oct. 14

Berthoud Fire responded to the 21000 block of WCR 1 for a lift assist.

Berthoud Fire responded to a medical call on Turner Avenue. TVEMS established patient care, at which time the patient refused to be transported to a local hospital. All units cleared.

Engine 61 responded to the 2300 block of E Highway 60 for a truck tire that had fallen off and was on fire. The wheel had snapped off of the pickup with no visible smoke or fire. The crew investigated the area and confirmed there was no fire. The driver had already contacted his company to retrieve the materials he was transporting and was working on getting a tow.

Engine 62 responded to the 5900 block of W County Road 12 for a medical. The crew began patient assessment and was able to obtain a baseline set of vitals. TVEMS arrived and assumed patient care. The crew assisted with loading the patient into the ambulance for transport to a local hospital for further evaluation.

Engine 61 dispatched to the 300 block of Turner Avenue for a 66-year-old woman who was sick. The crew had been at the residence earlier in the day, and the patient now wanted to be transported to the hospital. The patient was evaluated and loaded into the ambulance for transport.

Squad 61 responded to the 500 block of Redwood Circle for a medical stage. A LCSO deputy arrived on scene and requested a medical evaluation of the patient. TVEMS assumed patient care.

Saturday, October 15

Squad 61 responded to Apple Leaf Assisted Living for a medical.

Berthoud Fire dispatched to I-25 for a motor vehicle accident. Berthoud Fire and CSP units approaching I-25 could not locate the accident. Two vehicles were then found at Love’s Travel Center parking lot. The crew checked the occupants of the vehicles for injury. All occupants denied any injury and refused any assistance from fire or medical.

Engine 61 dispatched to Weld County Road 5 for a motor vehicle accident. A vehicle was on its roof in the ditch. The occupant had self-extricated and was retrieving items from inside the vehicle. The crew confirmed he was the only occupant and began patient assessment. TVEMS arrived and assumed patient care. The patient had no injuries. The crew checked for hazards and debris and remained on scene for scene safety and traffic control while waiting for CSP and Weld County Sheriff’s Office Deputies.

Engine 61 responded to the 200 block of 2nd Street for a medical. An 80-year-old woman was assessed. The patient denied injury and just needed a lift assist. The patient was assisted to an upright position.

Engine 61 dispatched to County Road 48 for a motor vehicle accident. A single person was standing next to an upright moped. TVEMS assumed patient care while the crew evaluated the scene for hazards. No hazards were found and the crew obtained the stretcher from the back of the ambulance and assisted TVEMS with loading the patient into the ambulance for transport.

Sunday, October 16

Squad 61 responded to the 400 block of S 8th Street for a patient who had fallen. The crew assisted TVEMS with patient assessment and loading the patient into the ambulance for transport.

Squad 61 responded to the 300 block of 42nd Street for a 63-year-old male with chest pain. The crew assisted TVEMS with patient assessment and loading the patient int the ambulance for transport.

Squad 61 responded to the 900 block of Welch Avenue for a 99-year-old woman feeling sick. The patient was assessed and loaded into the ambulance for transport.

 

Oct. 17-23

Monday, Oct. 17

Squad 61 responded to the 300 block of 42nd Street for a 63-year-old man having chest pains. Squad 61 arrived on scene along with TVEMS. The crew assisted with gathering a patient history and retrieving medications. The patient was packaged and loaded into the ambulance for transport to a local hospital.

Squad 61 dispatched to the 900 block of Welch Avenue for a 99-year-old woman unable to move. The patient was helped onto the cot and packaged for transport to a local hospital.

Tuesday, Oct. 18

Squad 61 responded to the 1000 block of Cedar Drive for a 59-year-old woman who had fainted. TVEMS assumed patient care, and the crew assisted with loading of the patient for transport.

Squad 61 dispatched to the 1000 block of 4th Street for an 80-year-old woman with diabetic problems. TVEMS arrived on scene and assumed patient care. The patient was transported.

Squad 61 responded to the 19000 block of Weld Cty Road 7 for a 58-year-old man not feeling well at work. TVEMS transported the patient to a local hospital.

Engine 61 dispatched to I-25 mm 250 NB for a single vehicle rollover down the embankment. All occupants were standing outside the vehicle and refused medical care. With no hazards and no injuries, Colorado State Patrol cleared the crew from the scene.

Wednesday, Oct. 19

Squad 61 responded along with TVEMS to Weld Cty Road 1 for a 75-year-old man in respiratory distress. The crew helped with loading the patient for transport to a local hospital.

Engine 61 responded to the intersection of Hwy 287 and Larimer Cty 8 for a 3-vehicle accident The three vehicles had moderate damage with two occupants transported and one who refused care. The scene was cleaned up and secured for LCSO to complete their investigation.

Engine 62 dispatched to the 5000 block of Jordan Drive for a 76-year-old woman with breathing problems. The crew assessed the patient and obtained vital signs. Patient care was transferred to TVEMS. E62 crew got the cot and helped the patient to it. The patient was transported to a local hospital.

Berthoud Fire responded to Love’s Travel Center for a patient who needed to be transported to a local hospital. The crew helped TVEMS with packaging and loading the patient for transport.

Thursday, Oct. 20

Engine 61 responded to the 300 block of Dorothy Drive for a 75-year-old woman with abdominal pain. TVEMS assumed patient care, and the crew brought the cot to the porch and prepared it for the patient. The patient was transported to a local hospital.

Berthoud Fire dispatched to the 400 block of Goose Hollow Road for an 81-year-old woman who had fallen. The patient was loaded and transported to a local hospital.

Engine 61 responded to the 200 block of 2nd Street for a lift assist.

Friday, Oct. 21

Squad 61 responded to the 600 block of Torreys Peak Lane for an 85-year-old woman who fell the day before and now her legs aren’t working. TVEMS assumed patient care, and the crew assisted with packaging and loading the patient for transport.

Berthoud Fire dispatched to the 1900 block of N Highway 287 for avehicle vs. elk accident. The crew arrived on scene and found two separate accidents, each with minor damage, and LCSO was already on scene. All occupants were evaluated and determined to be not injured. The crew swept road debris and provided traffic control for LCSO.

Berthoud Fire dispatched to the intersection of W County Road 8 and County Road 21 for a motor vehicle accident. Two vehicles were involved, with moderate damage from what appeared to be a T-bone type collision. One occupant was evaluated for injuries by TVEMS. The crew supplied scene lighting and cleaned up fluids on the roadway.

Squad 61 responded to the 1600 block of Chokecherry Street for a sick person. The crew began patient assessment and transferred care to TVEMS. The patient was helped to the cot and loaded into the ambulance for transport.

Saturday, October 22

Engine 61 responded to the 200 block of Mountain Avenue for a law enforcement assist for medical. The patient was walked to the back of the ambulance for evaluation and was transported to a local hospital.

Sunday, October 23

A 66-year-old woman came to Station 1 reporting she was not feeling well. The crew began patient evaluation and transferred care to TVEMS. The patient refused transport.

Squad 61 responded to the 700 block of 4th Street for a medical on a 40-year-old man. TVEMS assumed patient care. The crew helped with loading the patient into the ambulance for transport.

Oct. 24-30

Monday, Oct. 24

A man walked into Station 1 and requested to be checked out for an unknown medical issue he was having. TVEMS assumed patient care, and the crew prepared the cot for transport of patients to a local hospital.

Engine 62 responded to the 100 block of N. County Road 23 for a smoke detector needing batteries changed. The crew checked the detector and found that it was not the battery causing the issue. The homeowner was advised to purchase a new one.

Tuesday, Oct. 25

Engine 61 dispatched to the 800 block of Longview Avenue for an 80-year-old man who said that he wanted to go the hospital. TVEMS assumed patient care, and the crew assisted with packaging the patient for transport.

Engine 61 responded to the 100 block of E. Indiana Avenue for a chirping smoke detector in the basement. The detector was located and was found to be defective. The defective detector was taken out of service, and the homeowner said she would get a new one installed. The crew then replaced the batteries in the other detectors in the house.

The homeowner in the 400 block of Split Rock Drive asked the crew to replace the smoke detector in the garage.

Citizens assist in the 900 block of Wilshire Drive to replace a battery in smoke detector in the living room.

Wednesday, Oct. 26

Berthoud Fire responded to the Berthoud Care and Rehab for a medical.

Citizens assist in the 100 block of E. Indiana Avenue for faulty detectors. The crew removed all the detectors as they had been recalled and left one that they had on the truck. The homeowner said she would replace all detectors.

Engine 61 responded to the 7-11 for a medical assist to LCSO. The patient was handcuffed and sitting in a deputy’s car. TVEMS initiated patient care. The crew prepared the cot and assisted in securing and loading the patient for transport.

Berthoud Fire dispatched to the Berthoud Care and Rehab for a medical.

Squad 61 responded to the 4000 block of N. Sunshine Court for a medical stand-by. No patient contact.

Engine 61 responded to the 300 block of 49th Street SW for a 91-year-old woman not feeling well. TVEMS assumed patient care. The crew set up the cot outside of the front door.

Engine 62 dispatched to the 2600 block of Blue Mountain Avenue for an 81-year-old man with abdominal pain. The crew helped TVEMS with patient assessment. The patient was loaded into the ambulance for transport.

Saturday, October 29

Engine 61 responded to the 700 block of 3rd Street for a 56-year-old woman having uncontrollable convulsions. TVEMS assumed patient care. The patient was packaged and loaded for transport.

Engine 61 dispatched to County Road 17 for a two-vehicle accident. All parties were out of the vehicles. All occupants were checked for injuries, and they reported none. LCSO requested assistance from the Town of Berthoud due to a large number of nails that had been scattered onto the road surface from the accident. The crew helped LCSO with traffic control until the Town of Berthoud and a tow truck arrived. The crew then assisted with removing debris and nails from the roadway before turning the scene over to LCSO.

BC- 61 dispatched to the 1200 block of S County Road 13 for a motor vehicle accident. The vehicle had rolled over with heavy damage. The vehicle was on its wheels, and no one was in the vehicle. Loveland E-41, CSP and BC-61 searched the area for injured parties and were unable to find the driver or other possible occupants.

BC-61 responded to 2nd Street and Mountain Avenue for a medical. They found a patient who had tripped and fallen and was having knee pain. TVEMS evaluated the patient, who refused transport.

Sunday, October 30

Engine 62 responded to the 2600 block of Blue Mountain Avenue for an 81-year-old man who was feeling ill. The crew assisted TVEMS with patient evaluation. The patient was loaded into the ambulance for transport.

Engine 61 responded to the 200 block of E Michigan for a CO detector. The crew entered the home with the gas monitor and found an elevated reading from the oven. The stove was then shut off, unplugged, and the gas turned off to the oven. The homeowner was informed to contact an appliance technician to service the oven. The crew then ventilated the house.

Oct. 31

Monday, Oct. 31

Berthoud Fire and Loveland Fire responded to the 500 block of Katmai Court for a structure fire and found a fire in the garage. Although the crews quickly extinguished the fire, there was extensive damage to the structure and three vehicles. The basement had the least damage, but still had a lot of smoke in it. The occupants and dogs were cared for with a place to stay, and they were advised to contact insurance for the next step in the process. Fires were out, property was secured, and no injuries were sustained. The incident is under investigation currently.
