Tuesday, August 25

Felony Warrant Arrest: 100 block of S 3rd Street, information about an active warrant for a 39-year-old man was confirmed. The man was contacted at his residence and taken into custody.

Thursday, August 27

Vehicle Accident/Careless Driving: Hwy 287 at Mile Marker 325, a 49-year-old driver was driving southbound when she lost control of her vehicle and drove into a culvert totaling her car.

Abandoned Vehicle Tow: Franklin Avenue & 5th Street, abandoned vehicle towed.

Abandoned Vehicle Tow/Fictitious Plates: Red Cloud & Pyramid Peak, a vehicle was found abandoned parked on public property. The vehicle was bearing tags which showed expiring in 2006 however those tabs were fictitious. The actual expiration of the vehicle was 2002. Vehicle was towed and plates taken.

Warrant Arrest/Driving Under Revocation: Franklin Avenue & 8th Street, a 23-year-old man was contacted while driving a motor vehicle and his license was found to be revoked. He also had a warrant for his arrest.

Friday, August 28

Warrant Arrest: a 52-year-old man was contacted and was taken into custody and transported to the Jail for a warrant.

Violation of Restraining Order/Violation of Bail Bond Conditions: 1000 block of 3rd Street, a 35-year-old man was highly intoxicated and began a disturbance with his ex-wife at her home. He fled the scene before deputies arrived. He was arrested sneaking back into the yard with deputies waiting for him.

Saturday, August 29

Juvenile Problems: 800 block of 10th Street, a 14-year-old girl went into a rage and refused to go to Indiana with her dad so he could see his dad who is in hospice care.

Juvenile Problems: 800 block of 10th Street, after about 3 hours, the same 14-year-old girl from before snapped again and attacked her father punching him in his face. Upon deputy contact the girl began swinging at the deputy.

Mental Health Hold: 400 block of Indiana Avenue, a 65-year-old man made his way to Berthoud via bus from Denver. He is under the care of his brother in Denver and has some health/dementia issues. This was the 2nd trip to Berthoud for him this week and believes he was to meet his son at a past address in Berthoud.

Sunday, August 30

Found Property: 400 block of Franklin Avenue, a Roadmaster mountain bike was found leaning up on a fence at this location.

Vehicle Accident: 900 block of Mountain Avenue, two drivers backed into each other in the parking lot.

Monday, August 31

Vehicle Accident: at the round-a-bout a truck driver from Iowa, entered the round-a-bout and drove over a streetlight. The entire light was destroyed as was the rim and tire on the trailer.

Criminal Mischief: 300 block of 7th Street, a resident had his fence and some of the brick on the side of his house spray-painted.

Criminal Mischief: Pioneer Park, Someone marked up the stones on top of “Zach’s Hill” and also the power box on the north/east corner of the park.

Drug Incident: 900 block of 6th Street, Berthoud Fire and Thompson Valley Ambulance responded to an unconscious breathing female who had possibly overdosed on heroin.

Animal calls: 1 found pit terrier. 1 bat captured and released unharmed
