Second-Degree Motor Vehicle Theft/Warrant Arrest: Meadowlark Drive – An adult male was acting suspiciously in a 2008 Infiniti G30. After an investigation, the vehicle was discovered to be stolen. The vehicle owner was notified and informed where the vehicle was located. The man was booked on an outstanding warrant and new charges.
Driving Under the Influence: Horseshoe Circle – A resident contacted deputies to report that a vehicle was stuck in the snow in front of his house and a woman appeared to be passed out in the driver’s seat and the wheels of the vehicle were spinning. Upon contact with the woman, an open alcoholic beverage was seen in the center console. The woman did not pass voluntary roadside sobriety tests in a manner consistent with a sober person. She was booked at the Larimer County Jail. I’ve been there, my wheels are a spinnin but I ain’t gettin nowhere.
Thursday, February 2
Cold Burglary – Wagon Bend Road – A man reported he had golf clubs and a phone taken from his house. No forced entry and no video footage. The man mentioned he is going through a “messy divorce” and is fearful that his estranged wife is giving his house code out. The female party denied any involvement. Did you check in the golf course lake where you threw them when you got that double Bogey?
Revoked Habitual Traffic Offender: North Highway 287 – A man was contacted driving on a revoked driver’s license for being a habitual traffic offender. He was booked at the Larimer County Jail.
Friday, February 3
Recovered Stolen Vehicle/Warrant Arrest x2: Wagon Bend Road – A stolen vehicle was seen entering the Prairie Star Subdivision. Once containment was set in the neighborhood, the vehicle was found nearby without anyone inside. The vehicle was towed for further investigation. A woman the deputies made contact with during the investigation was subsequently booked on two outstanding warrants.
Second-Degree Assault/Menacing/Domestic Violence: Ellie Way – Deputies responded to a residence on a report of a physical disturbance between a husband and wife. The woman was contacted with significant injuries and said her husband was trying to kill her. The man was booked at the Larimer County Jail on the above charges. In the western days there would have been a hanging for beaten up a woman. Of course, nowadays there would be a ban on rope.

Motor Vehicle Accident with Injuries: Mountain Avenue/Highway 28 – Three vehicles were in an accident resulting in a t-bone in the intersection. The at-fault driver was cited for Careless Driving resulting in injury after running a red light.

Monday, February 6
Theft: Rivergate Way – Three houses under construction had materials taken from the building sites sometime over the weekend. Stolen materials valued at $2,931.
Runaway Juvenile: Berthoud – A juvenile male ran away from home last Thursday. He was entered as a runaway. Local agencies and the School Resource Officer were notified.
Theft: West County Road 10E – Unknown suspects attempted to steal a $52,000 bumper pull RV trailer from a storage lot. The RV appears to have gotten stuck in the mud and abandoned within the complex. Evidence was collected.
Non-Injury Motor Vehicle Accident: Mountain Avenue/9th Street – A male driver was traveling eastbound on Mountain Avenue when he struck another vehicle which was turning into a parking lot. Both parties agreed to let insurance handle the accident and no citations were issued. Now, this is a small town at its finest.
Tuesday, February 7
Vehicular Eluding/Aggravated Motor Vehicle Theft/Driving Under the Influence of Drugs/Warrant Arrest: Highway 56 – A Toyota sedan entered and then exited a gas station immediately upon the sight of law enforcement. The Toyota sedan began driving recklessly before a stop was attempted and fled westbound. The vehicle was successfully spiked by deputies and a second pursuit ensued until the vehicle stopped at County Line Road just north of Highway 119. A male driver and female passenger were arrested after running from the vehicle. The vehicle was reported as stolen out of Greeley with a stolen license plate from another vehicle from the metro area. Additional license plates for other unassociated stolen vehicles were found in the car. The driver was under the influence of methamphetamine and was discharged from parole tomorrow. He was medically cleared at the hospital and booked at the Weld County Jail. The woman was booked on an arrest warrant at Larimer County Jail. He ran because of his girlfriend’s warrants. Ah, isn’t love grand?
Driving After Revocation Prohibited/Driving Without Proof of Insurance: Highway 287/ County Road 8 – A man was contacted and found to be driving without a license or insurance. He was issued a summons.
Motor Vehicle Accident with Injuries: Mountain Avenue/North Berthoud Parkway – A female driver ran a red light and T-boned a truck, causing the truck to flip over. The woman was transported by ambulance to the hospital for injuries from the airbag. The other driver was uninjured. The at-fault driver was issued a summons for careless driving.
Vehicular Eluding: Highway 287/County Road 2E – A dark-colored BMW or Lexus sedan eluded a traffic stop after being observed at speeds of 130 MPH on Highway 287. The vehicle blacked out and entered Longmont. A pursuit was not initiated due to public safety concerns.
Wednesday, February 8
Traffic Safety Special Operations: Berthoud Area – The Larimer County Sheriff’s Office traffic safety unit conducted a brief saturation patrol in the area of Highway 287 and County Road 10E. Unit members conducted 16 traffic stops and issued five citations and eleven warnings. They were called off for a serious incident in north Ft. Collins.
Possession of Schedule II Controlled Substance/Felony Warrant Arrest: East Highway 56 – A man was contacted at a local business for an active felony warrant for sex assault on a child. 0.70 grams of Methamphetamine were found on the man during a search incident to arrest. He was booked into the Larimer County Jail for the warrant and issued a citation for the possession of methamphetamine.
Aggravated Motor Vehicle Theft: Breckenridge Drive – A man reported his 2008 Toyota Tacoma was stolen from his house. The vehicle was found abandoned by Mead Police Department later that day and processed for evidence. Hey friend, I would have given you a ride to Mead, but now I will give you a ride to jail.

Vehicular Eluding/Aggravated Motor Vehicle Theft: North Berthoud Parkway/Highway 287 – A stolen Toyota Tundra was contacted pulling a boat trailer. The driver dropped the trailer and fled upon contact with deputies. The driver was pursued south on Highway 287 to the county line where the pursuit was terminated for public safety. I wished they would have left the boat attached. It would look fantastic on dashcam pursuing a boat.
Hit and Run: East Highway 56 – A man reported that a semi-truck backed into his semi-truck at a local business and then left eastbound.
Friday, February 10
Unattended Death: Indiana Avenue – A woman passed away of natural causes. She had an extensive health history. The Sheriff’s Office Victim’s Advocates responded to the home.
Driving Under the Influence/Speeding: Highway 56/County Road 3 – A woman was contacted for speeding and was found to be under the influence of alcohol. She was booked at the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office.
Non-Injury Motor Vehicle Accident: 6th Street/Mountain Avenue – A male driver hit the rear of another vehicle while it was stopped. The owner of the vehicle and the male driver were friends and asked to not press charges. Although, as soon as the cops leave good old pal of mine, I’m going to punch you right in the nose for wrecking my car.
Vehicle Theft/Criminal Mischief/Trespass: West County Road 10E – A man reported damage to a fence and a cut lock and chain at a local storage business. It was discovered that a travel trailer was taken. Video surveillance shows a white truck leaving eastbound on County Road 10E at 0415 hours on the morning of 02/10/23.
Saturday, February 11
Recovered Stolen Vehicle: Candle Street – A stolen Ford F350 pickup was recovered at this location bearing stolen South Dakota license plates. During the vehicle processing soft body armor was found.
Warrant Arrest: Mountain Avenue – A man was contacted on a traffic stop and found to have a misdemeanor warrant for his arrest. He was booked at the Larimer County Jail.
Warrant Arrest: 1st Street – A man was contacted with an outstanding misdemeanor warrant and booked at the Larimer County Jail.
Sunday, February 12
Criminal Mischief/Domestic Violence: Westport Avenue – A man reported that his wife was tearing up the house and throwing items from a second-story window. Deputies arrived on the scene and observed several clothing items, jewelry boxes, gun holsters, and pictures thrown onto the driveway from a second-story window. The woman was observed in the window continuing to throw items from the house. She was booked on criminal mischief charges and domestic violence charges. Nothing more frightening than a scorned wife.
Recovered Stolen Trailer: West County Road 10E – Englewood Police Department located the stolen camper trailer from 02/10/23. The investigation is ongoing for the individual who stole the camper trailer.

False Reporting to Authorities / Leaving the Scene of an Accident: 3400 Woodcock Street, a resident called to report his vehicle stolen on 02/10/23. Vehicle was involved in a crash in Platteville the same day and was disabled. Through investigation, the caller admitted he falsely reported the theft to avoid getting in trouble for DUI. He was issued a summons, tow got stuck trying to recover the vehicle and was unable to tow. New charges along with he no longer has a car. How did that party you were at work for you?
Vehicular Eluding: Berthoud Pkwy. / CR14, a stolen red Dodge Durango observed on Flock cameras. The vehicle was associated with a known wanted suspect due to a prior vehicle theft call earlier in the evening. The vehicle was followed without an attempted traffic stop to Vermillion Road, where the vehicle suddenly fled eastbound and was briefly pursued before being terminated for public safety. The vehicle later eluded Longmont and Weld three times immediately following this pursuit. The suspect driving is wanted for several vehicle thefts.
Tuesday, February 14
Theft: Tallgrass Lane, a female resident reported she met a man on dating site, and he came over at approximately 1:00 am. When he left at 5:30 am, she discovered approximately $665 in items stolen including jewelry, iPad, and her debit card. Suspect description led to a photo lineup of potential suspects. A lot of dating sites should be called baiting sites. These crooks will bait you and use you in all sorts of ways.
DUI-Drugs / Weaving / Felony Eluding: Hwy 287 / 14th Street, a 67-year-old Longmont man was contacted as a driver of a REDDI report. Displayed signs of drug impairment. The driver fled the traffic stop driving northbound at speed between 30-40 MPH. There was no traffic, and the roads were snow covered. The pursuit was successful terminated just north of Eisenhower Blvd. The driver refused roadsides; due to this being a felony, a blood draw was completed at the hospital. Booked.
Wednesday, February 15
Vehicle Crash / No Insurance / Revoked License: Highway 287/N. Berthoud Parkway, a driver rear ended another car and both drivers exchanged information. Upon calling the at fault’s insurance, the other driver found he was uninsured, and he was also found to not have a license. Summons in To-be-served.
Felony Warrant Arrest: Mountain Avenue, a 50-year-old Wyoming man was booked ‘uncooperative’ after trying to kick his way out of the patrol vehicle. Some men never leave their terrible twos.
Harassment / Criminal Mischief / Domestic Violence / Obstruction / Possession of Schedule I (Ecstasy) / Possession of an Illegal Weapon / Trespass / Possession of Drug Paraphernalia / Revoked License: Grand Market Ave., a man accused his girlfriend of cheating on him. He sent approximately 80 text messages and made over 100 phone calls between 10:00 pm and 3:00 am stating he was going to kill himself. He punched an interior closet door making a small hole while deputies were on scene, He made 8 more phone calls and refused to speak to the deputy and was being belligerent over the phone. The background sounded like he could be somewhere in the area. The man was seen outside the garage and fled from deputies on foot. He later returned to the residence and was contacted and taken into custody. A large amount of drug paraphernalia, suspected Ecstasy, and brass knuckles were found in the vehicle. He was booked.
Thursday, February 16
Warrant Arrest: Hwy 287 and Mountain Ave, a 35-year-old Frederick man was arrested on his warrant and booked.
Recovered/Entered Stolen License Plates: CR 2E, an off-duty Windsor Officer’s license plate reader alerted to a red Ford Ranger with stolen license plates driving into town on Highway 56. The vehicle was located and followed while additional resources were responding. The truck turned into a large property. The driver stopped and found that his license plates were stolen and replaced with the reported stolen plates likely at his apartment in Windsor. The man’s plates were entered as stolen. Windsor PD records later advised that the exact same circumstance occurred with another red Ford Ranger swapping the original stolen plates in a parking lot.
So. what you’re saying is, those plates belong here but the other plates belong somewhere else and there’s other plates involved. Sounds familiar: who’s on first, what’s on second and I don’t know is on third.

Felony Criminal Impersonation/ Felony Warrant Arrest/ stolen license plate/ possession Drug paraphernalia: Hwy 287 / CR 6, a female driver was contacted and had a stolen license plate on her vehicle. Search found drug paraphernalia. The male passenger provided a false name of a real person, had several warrants, and possessed drug paraphernalia. True identity was discovered, and he was booked. The driver was summonsed and released.
Saturday, February 18
Warrant Arrest: Munson Court, a resident was arrested for his warrants and booked.
Felony Vehicular Eluding: Hwy 287 Mile Marker 327, a Subaru Outback eluded from this location. A short pursuit was terminated when the vehicle went into oncoming lanes.
Sunday, February 19
Warrant: CR 14, a 21-year-old man was arrested and booked on his warrant.
Lost License Plate: High Mountain Drive, a resident reported his trailer plate was lost and last seen October 2022. Entered as lost.
DUI / Speed: Hwy 287 / Sunset Ct, a male driver was arrested for suspicion of DUI. Booked.

Monday, February 20
Theft/Trespass: 3rd Street – A business reported than an employee had stolen a craftsman toolset from the store. The employee was contacted at his house and issued a summons and a formal trespass notice from the business.
Unauthorized Use of a Financial Device: Grand Market Avenue – A woman reported fraudulent charges on her financial account totaling over $2300. All the transactions are in or around the Denver area. She received a package at her house, with a man’s name, that was one of the items bought on her card fraudulently. The investigation is ongoing. Nothing like getting a surprise gift package from the thief that stole your credit card. What a thoughtful criminal.
Speeding/Driving Under Revocation: 14th Street Southwest – A female driver was contacted for speeding and found that her license was revoked. She was booked at the Larimer County Jail. Looks like it is time to call a friend to pick up the car…
Driving Under the Influence/Possession of a Schedule I Substance/Warrant Arrest: 14th Street Southwest – A woman arrived on the scene of the above call to get the vehicle left on the scene and showed signs of drug impairment. She was also found to have an outstanding warrant for her arrest. LSD blotter paper was found in her wallet in a search incident to arrest. She too was booked at the Larimer County Jail. If you are on drugs and have a warrant, do not drive. Especially do not drive to help your friend at a traffic stop. There are better ways to take care of the warrant.
Tuesday, February 21
Mental Health Hold: 19th Street Southeast – An employee reported that a man was being aggressive, threatening staff, and spitting in their faces. The man was placed on a mental health hold and taken to the hospital by the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office mental health co-responder unit.
Fraud: Cedar Drive – A man reported that his credit card was used at a gas station in Commerce City. His bank stopped fraudulent charge of $175. It is currently unknown how his banking information was stolen.
Theft: 6th Street – A man reported that a catalytic converter was stolen from his Prius while it was parked in his driveway. The man provided video footage of two unidentified males approaching his house at 0513 hours on 02/20/23.
Wednesday, February 22
Vehicle Theft: Wagon Bend Road – A resident was awakened by the sound of a very loud sound and found his truck was stolen. The owner of the truck said the truck was locked, but the spare keys were inside. Spare keys are handy… a bit too handy sometimes.
Third-Degree Assault: Berthoud – An 18-year-old threw a basketball at a 10-year-old, striking him in the face and causing pain. The 18-year-old was issued a summons to court.
Thursday, February 23
Aggravated Motor Vehicle Theft/Vehicle Recovery/Possession of Schedule II & IV Controlled Substances – Deputies found a stolen vehicle near Grand Market and Berthoud Parkway. An adult male was seen exiting the driver’s door and entering a business. Deputies intercepted the man before he exited the store. Upon a search incident to arrest, approximately four grams of Xanax and less than four grams of methamphetamine were found on the man. Johnstown Police responded to recover the stolen vehicle. The driver was booked at the Larimer County Jail for the above charges. The passenger was cited for possession of methamphetamine.
Driving Under Revocation/Violation of Interlock/Warrant Arrest: 9th Street/Spartan Avenue – A female driver and female passenger were contacted on a traffic stop. The driver was cited for driving under revocation and an interlock violation. The passenger was found to have a warrant for her arrest and was then booked at the Larimer County Jail. You know what they say, birds of a feather flock together.
Friday, February 24
Vehicle Trespass/Theft: Ten Gallon Drive – A man reported that his locked company truck was entered sometime during the night and items were found to be missing.
Driving Under Revocation/Fictitious Plates/Driving Without Insurance/Warrant Arrest x2: Highway 287/County Road 10E – A female driver was contacted for displaying fictitious license plate tabs. She was found to have two warrants for her arrest and her driver’s license was revoked. She was then booked at the Larimer County Jail.
Hit and Run: Woodcock Street – A lifted blue truck with a yellow bumper sticker ran over the stop sign at this intersection and left the scene.
Felony Warrant Arrest: 9th Street – A man was contacted with an outstanding felony warrant and booked at the Larimer County Jail.
Driving Under Revocation: North 107th Street/Yellowstone Road – A male driver was contacted for driving without a license. He was issued a summons. I am seeing a pattern here. If you don’t have a valid license, don’t drive!
Saturday, February 25
Warrant Arrest x3: West County Road 10E, BER – An individual was contacted and found to have three outstanding warrants. Booked at the Larimer County Jail.
Suspicious Circumstances/Mental Health: Franklin Avenue – An adult male who suffers from developmental delays and is in long-term care at Berthoud Care alleged a nurse sprayed Lysol in his eyes on 02/23/23. Through investigation, the allegation was unfounded. The Investigations Unit was notified.
Fictitious Plates/Driving Under Revocation: Highway 56/I-25 – A man driver was contacted driving with fictitious plates and was found to be driving under revocation. He was issued a citation.
Sunday, February 26
Vehicle Theft: Waterman Street – A man had his 2007 white Ford F250 stolen from his house around 0645 hours in the morning. The associated suspect vehicle, a 2001-2006 gray Chevy truck was seen bearing an unreported stolen Texas plate. The Chevy was later recovered in Boulder County abandoned and found to have the ignition and door locks punched. The guy who stole the truck should be punched.
Suspicious Person/Possible Theft: Beverly Drive – A man reported that on 02/25/23 at about 1756 hours, that an unknown male walked into his open garage and removed two boxes of items. The homeowner searched his garage and cannot figure out what was possibly stolen. If you can’t figure out if any of your stuff is stolen, you have too much stuff.
Hit and Run: East Highway 56 – A male driver reported that an unknown truck struck his semi, causing damage to the driver door, at approximately 1500 hours. A witness saw the incident occur but did not call law enforcement. True story (not this case) on Facebook someone posted “I watched 2 men dressed in black breaking into cars in my neighborhood”. Reply: “did you call 911?” Reply Back; “no, I don’t know how to do that”. This true story happened in Berthoud.

Mental Health Hold: Winding Brook Drive – A woman was having suicidal thoughts and was placed on a mental health hold and taken to the hospital.
Non-Injury Motor Vehicle Accident: Grand Market Avenue/North Berthoud Parkway – A female driver was traveling south on North Berthoud Parkway when another driver entered the traffic circle without enough room to do so safely causing a front-to-rear accident. There was minimal damage to both vehicles. I know a lot of people are not fans of roundabouts, don’t worry. You will come around to them.
Felony Warrant Arrest: Curlew Drive – A man was contacted and booked at the Larimer County Jail for a felony arrest warrant.
Tuesday, February 28
Warrant Arrest: Great Basin Court – A man was contacted for a misdemeanor arrest warrant and booked at the Larimer County Jail.
Warrant Arrest: 42nd Street Southwest/County Road 15H – A man was contacted at this location and found to have a misdemeanor warrant for his arrest. He was booked at the Larimer County Jail.
Stolen License Plate: Woodcock Street – A woman had her license plate stolen from her vehicle and replaced with a stolen license plate. The suspect vehicle was involved in shoplifting in Loveland on 02/28/23 and was bearing the woman’s stolen plate. The stolen plate was later recovered on 03/01/23 on an unoccupied vehicle.
Stolen License Plate: Kansas Avenue – A woman reported her front plate was stolen off her vehicle, unknown when and where.
Lost Property: Mountain Avenue – A woman reported her wallet as missing, containing $300. All her identifying information as stolen too and she reported it to prevent future identity theft.
