Obstruction/Violation of a Protection Order/Mental Health: North Berthoud Parkway/CR 14 – A man was parked on Berthoud Parkway and throwing items onto the roadway and chasing people along the sidewalk. Once contacted, the man was uncooperative with commands and ran away. Once enough deputies were on the scene, containment was set up as probable cause was developed for a violation of a protection order charge, as a witness had seen the man banging on the door of a protected party from which he is restrained, and his vehicle was across the street from the address. The man was taken into custody uncooperative and was restrained by multiple deputies. He was medically cleared at the hospital and was booked uncooperative.
Hit and Run Motor Vehicle Accident: Mountain Avenue – A vehicle was struck in the parking lot of a business. The suspect vehicle is a dark-colored BMW X3.
Restraining Order Violation: Mountain Avenue/2nd Street – A vehicle was stopped for traffic infractions, and it was found that the driver had a protection order in place restraining him from the female passenger. The driver was booked at the Larimer County Jail.

Attempted Homicide/Vehicular Assault/Driving Under the Influence: Grand Market Avenue – Following an argument at a family party, a man intentionally lined his truck up and then struck another man who was walking away on the sidewalk, throwing him 24 feet. Search warrants were executed at the scene and an arrest warrant was issued for the driver of the vehicle.

Monday, July 4
Found Child: Berthoud – A non-verbal child with autism was found by citizens wandering toward a park in bare feet and a diaper. Deputies had no information about the child so an ambulance transported the child to the hospital for a hold with Child Protective Services in route to meet the child there. A woman was found on a search of the neighborhood and she identified the boy as her son. The woman had put her son down for a nap and he exited out a window. She was very upset and thankful.
Warrant Arrest x2: Meadowlark Drive – A man was contacted by Longmont Police Department and custody was transferred to the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office for booking at the Larimer County Jail.
Driving Under the Influence: Yellowstone Road – A man was contacted for traffic violations in Larimer County. He failed voluntary roadside sobriety tests and was booked in at the Larimer County Jail for driving under the influence.
Tuesday, July 5
Vehicle Theft: West County Road 14 – A woman reported that her 2013 light green Kia Soul was stolen from her house between 5:00 am and 11:00 am. The plate was run in Broomfield around 4:00 pm. Currently under investigation.
Warrant Arrest: West County Road 14 – The reporting party from the vehicle theft in the above incident was found to have an outstanding warrant. She was booked at the Larimer County Jail.
Lost Property: South County Road 21 – A man called and reported that he lost his soft-sided briefcase while driving somewhere between the intersection of South County Road 21 and Yellowstone Road and Highway 287. If found, please contact the Sheriff’s Office.
Wednesday, July 6
Warrant Arrest: East Highway 56 – A woman was contacted at a local business and was found to have an outstanding warrant. She was booked at the Larimer County Jail without incident.
Hit and Run Motor Vehicle Accident: Berthoud Parkway & Grand Market Avenue – A male driver was struck by a red Toyota 4-Runner in the roundabout. The 4-Runner was driven by a middle-aged white female and last seen driving northbound on Taft Avenue at Highway 402.
Theft: Memory Lane – A contractor paid a man over $4,500 for drywall several weeks ago. The man spent the money on personal items instead of on drywall materials and did not have any intentions of using the money for drywall. The man does have a history of similar thefts and frauds. The investigation is ongoing.
Vehicle Recovery/Aggravated Vehicle Theft/Possession of Controlled Substances: West County Road 14 – The Boulder Police Department located the stolen Kia Soul from the night prior and also located the suspect. The suspect was turned over to the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office for a probable cause arrest of aggravated vehicle theft. During a search incident to arrest, he was found to be in possession of methamphetamine. The man was booked into the Larimer County Jail.
Thursday, July 7
Motor Vehicle Accident/Careless Driving: Highway 287 – A male driver changed lanes in a heavy rainstorm and hit the front bumper of a truck in the other lane causing the other driver to spin. His vehicle then contacted two other vehicles and caused another truck to go off the road and roll on its roof. There were no injuries, and two vehicles were towed. The at-fault driver was cited.
Criminal Mischief: Skimmer Street/Petrel Street – A group of unidentified juveniles wrote on playground equipment with a sharpie. Currently under investigation.
Lost Property: 7th Street – A Sony Cybershot digital camera was lost near the picnic tables at Berthoud Park at 200 7th Street. If located, please contact the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office.
Friday, July 8
Burglary/Theft: Meadowlark Drive – At 4:05 a.m. a white male in his early to mid-twenties broke into the entrance of a local business and stole a bottle of whiskey from within the store. The suspect was then picked up by an unknown vehicle on Meadowlark Drive adjacent to the store. The investigation is ongoing.
Hit and Run Motor Vehicle Accident: Lake Avenue – A woman reported that a male driver collided with her parked car and then left the parking area. She stated that the man cursed at her and would not roll down his window to speak to her, then drove over the curb when he left the parking area. The man was later contacted by a deputy. Due to conflicting information, a citation was not issued; however, insurance information was gathered and exchanged.
Eluding/Driving Under Revocation/Habitual Traffic Offender/Careless Driving/Felony Warrant: 42nd Street Southwest – A man eluded deputies on a scooter before crashing into a water-filled drainage ditch and then attempting to swim away. He was medically cleared at the hospital and then booked at the Larimer County Jail.
Eluding/Stolen Vehicle: Berthoud Parkway/South Highway 287- A stolen 1999 Mazda Pickup truck was located driving on Highway 60 and a vehicle stop was attempted. The stolen vehicle recklessly drove through the property and back onto Highway 60. The vehicle drove onto a dirt track road from County Road 11 into a field which the pursuing patrol vehicles did not follow, due to the field being irrigated. The vehicle was last seen driving northbound on County Road 13 from the field towards Highway 60. The driver and passenger were two Hispanic male adults with heavily tattooed bodies. The vehicle was later found abandoned.
Warrant Arrest x2: East Highway 56 – A woman was contacted in a vehicle and found to have two active warrants. She was then booked into jail.

SCAM / Police Impersonation: Berthoud – Two calls where the caller claimed to be “Deputy Austin Kinney,” stating that the individual has warrants for their arrest and needs to pay $3000. One victim is out $900. The sheriff’s office nor any of its deputies will call you asking for money.
Wednesday, July 13
Vehicular Eluding: N 107th St. / Yellowstone Rd, Boulder County – A traffic stop was attempted on a gold Civic (BLGI14) for speeding in Larimer County. The vehicle fled southbound, and a brief pursuit was initiated but was quickly terminated for public safety before reaching Longmont. The registered owner stated the vehicle was stolen by a known female in Greeley
Warrant Arrest: Hwy. 56 / WCR 7, a 28-year-old Greeley man was booked without incident.
Thursday, July 14
Attempted Vehicle Theft / Vehicle Trespass / Criminal Mischief: Tranquility Way – a resident reported that someone attempted to hotwire his truck while it was in the driveway but failed.
Assault / Domestic Violence: 3800 E Hwy 56, BER (Love’s) – The victim approached deputies while they were on another call, to report that her husband assaulted her in the parking lot. The woman decided to recant the incident and requested no further assistance from deputies. She was provided a business card in case she changed her mind.
Unlawful Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance / Warrant Arrest: 3800 E Hwy 56, (Love’s) – a 36-year-old Milliken woman was contacted for a warrant associated with her license plate. She was arrested on the warrant. K9 alerted on the vehicle, and approximately 7 grams of meth was found. Two fake U.S. one-dollar notes were found in the vehicle, along with several purses, clothes, and makeup with tags still attached. The suspected stolen items’ total value was near $2,000. Investigation continues.
Unlawful Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance / Resisting Arrest: Woodcock Street Apartments, security called to report three people unloading items from a vehicle and acting suspiciously, possibly committing a vehicle trespass. The caller followed the suspect vehicle after it left, and a stop was made on the vehicle. Two Loveland women are known drug users and were contacted in the vehicle. Crimes related to the call for service could not be substantiated. During the investigation, K9 was deployed on the vehicle which resulted in methamphetamine being found attributed to the two women. During the investigation, a male transient showed up on scene after being called by the women. The man looked nearly identical to a male associate of one of the women who had warrants and refused to identify himself. The man resisted arrest and was escorted to the ground.
Friday, July 15
Follow Up: Victoria Street, the black Range Rover associated with an assault in north Loveland was seen at this address and the suspect was seen working on it. A contact plan was devised to get the occupants of the house to exit. While they were exiting, the residents arrived on scene and there was a confrontation between them and the suspect. Deputies quickly moved in and placed suspect into custody without incident for the warrant that resulted from yesterday’s domestic violence incident. Booked.
Vehicle Crash: CR 10E and 4th Street, a vehicle was driving eastbound on County Road 10E at 4th Street in Berthoud when her dog jumped in the front seat causing the driver to lose control of the vehicle drive off the road and sideswipe an electrical box at the telephone pole. You said “No Horseplay” no one said anything about dog play.

Warrant Arrest: Meadowlark Drive, a 39-year-old Berthoud man was contacted and arrested on his warrants. Booked.
Crime of the Century: Wild Honey Drive, a resident called to report someone parked their vehicle 1 foot over the threshold of her driveway. Oh, the humanity.
Sunday, July 17
Potential SCAM: Hwy 56 and CR 3: a report came in stating there were two “middle eastern males” flagging people down and attempting to sell fake gold. The subjects left before deputies arrived.

Monday, July 18
Mental Health Hold/Dog Bite: Grand Market Avenue – A female was called into the 911 Dispatch as suicidal after sending text messages photos of pills and expressing to her husband a desire to kill herself. Upon contact at the front door, a dog came out of the residence and bit a Larimer County Sheriff’s Office law enforcement deputy. The woman was safely placed on a mental hold at the hospital. The deputy was transported to the hospital for stitches. The dog was not injured and will survive.
Motor Vehicle Accident: West County Road 14 – A vehicle was backing out of a parking space when the driver saw another vehicle approach and the driver stopped. The approaching vehicle continued, driving straight through, contacting the rear bumper of the vehicle that was backing out of a parking spot. Minor damage to the stopped vehicle. The at-fault driver was cited for careless driving.

Scam: 2nd Street – A man was sent a swindle text message telling him to pay an unknown suspect $6,000, as they were hired to kill him. The man did not send any money. The name’s Bond, James Bond.
Fraud: Wilshire Drive – A woman’s identifying information was used in an attempted mortgage scam in Longmont. The investigation is ongoing.

Warrant Arrest: Meadowlark Drive – A male was transported by the Longmont Police Department to Berthoud to be transferred into custody by the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office and booked into the Larimer County Jail.
Burglary/Criminal Mischief: 2nd Street – A storage unit was broken into by cutting a lock off the door and items were stolen. A photo of a possible suspect was provided to deputies and the investigation is ongoing.
Mental Health Hold: East Highway 56 – A man was located at a local business semi-unresponsive in his vehicle after a suicide attempt by overdose. The man was taken to the hospital and placed on a mental health hold after he was treated.
Thursday, July 21
Mental Health Hold: Berthoud – A juvenile was attending summer camp when he attempted to leave on foot and jumped into a moving vehicle after making suicidal statements to staff members. The juvenile was transported to the hospital and placed on a mental health hold.
Domestic Violence/Harassment/Obstruction of Telephone Services: 2nd Street – A woman reported that her boyfriend grabbed her and shook her during an argument. When the man found out she talked to law enforcement, he turned off her cell phone. A warrant was issued for the man’s arrest. Second biggest lie, “he’ll change once he gets out of jail”. The first biggest lie is “I don’t need to write it down, I’ll remember”.

Felony Warrant Arrest/Resisting Arrest/Obstructing: Colorado Avenue – A man was contacted for a Felony Warrant. The man initially refused to come out, but after conversations with his mother and deputies, he came to the door in the garage. He continued to tell deputies that he was not going to go to jail. Deputies went hands-on with the man as he pulled away and tried to go back into the house. The man’s wife then inserted herself in the arrest and began grabbing at deputies. The man was safely placed in custody and was booked into the Larimer County Jail on his warrant and new charges of Resisting Arrest. The wife was issued a summons for Obstructing. The man was listed this morning as Larimer County’s Most Wanted and within a few hours was arrested by Berthoud deputies. I would rather take on any of the 10 most wanted men than one angry wife.
Vehicle Theft: Art Drive/South Berthoud Parkway – A White/Black 2007 Terex TA40 dump truck was stolen from a job site near this intersection sometime within the last two weeks. The vehicle is valued at $70,000. The investigation is ongoing.

Motor Vehicle Accident: East Highway 56 – A semi-truck was exiting a business parking lot, turning too tight, and struck another semi-truck that was illegally parked in a no-parking zone.
Warrant Arrest: West County Road 10E – A man was taken into custody for an outstanding warrant after he was contacted at this location being “camped out” for several days, as his vehicle was broken down.
Sunday, July 24
Felony Eluding/Attempt to Disarm a Peace Officer/Resisting Arrest/Obstruction/Defective Headlamps and Brake Lights/Driving Under Restraint/Displayed Expired Plates: East Highway 56/South County Road 13 – A male driver was stopped for a defective headlight, expired plates, and defective brake lights. The driver then fled the traffic stop in his vehicle after initially stopping. A pursuit was initiated and headed eastbound on Highway 56. The pursuit was terminated before entering the construction area at Highway 56 and I-25. The Longmont Police Department and a deputy contacted the driver at his residence in Longmont. The man admitted to fleeing the traffic stop. Once informed he was under arrest, the man attempted to flee on foot but was quickly placed into handcuffs. He attempted to flee on foot a second time. He was placed on the ground until he calmed down. The man said he would cooperate, but then said he wasn’t going to jail and used a patrol car to push off with his feet and started resisting arrest a third time. The man then attempted to remove a deputy’s taser from his duty belt, then took a pistol magazine and threw it before being placed on the ground a second time and restrained. The man was transported to the hospital for medical clearance prior to being transported to the Larimer County Jail and booked. The cops have an easy life, said no one ever!
Violation of a Protection Order: 2nd Street – A woman was arrested after violating a protection order by contacting a juvenile victim who does not live at this address.
Detox Hold: Berthoud Peak Drive – A woman was placed on a detox hold at the hospital for alcohol detox and for a mental health evaluation.
Criminal Mischief: Rivergate Way – A construction site was vandalized during the evening and wire was cut on four new homes being built. Security footage possibly caught suspects, the investigation is ongoing.

Harassment/Intimidating a Victim/Retaliation Against a Victim/Menacing: Berthoud – A juvenile victim from a Violation of a Protection order called to say that a juvenile male threatened her by text after deputies had taken his mom to jail. Multiple texts showed the juvenile male threatened the victim and her family with bodily harm and told her to drop the charges. A warrant was issued for the juvenile’s arrest. Young man was arrested and transported to Platte Juvenile Facility in Greeley.
Stolen Vehicle Recovery/Theft: Westport Avenue – A stolen Dingo skid steer from Frederick was recovered at this location. The Dingo was being used by a landscaping crew at this address to complete work. The suspect involved in the original vehicle theft was identified but he was not on scene. The Dingo’s internal GPS was removed and was not recovered. The investigation is ongoing. Must have been an Australian made GPS if its name is Dingo.
Warrant Arrest: Meadowlark Drive – A man was contacted and found to have an outstanding warrant. He was booked into the Larimer County Jail.

Violation of a Protection Order: Bunyan Avenue – A man was contacted after it was reported he was causing a disturbance at this location. He was in an alley where he was very uncooperative with Paramedics and of course LCSO. He was intoxicated which was a violation of three of his protection orders and was booked into the Larimer County Jail.
Warrant Arrest: East Michigan Avenue – A woman was contacted as the passenger during a traffic stop and was found to have a warrant for her arrest. She was booked into the Larimer County Jail.
False Reporting of Identifying Information/Possession of Schedule II Controlled Substance/Possession of Drug Paraphernalia/Driving Under Revocation/Warrant Arrest: East Highway 56 – A female driver was contacted for traffic infractions. The woman identified herself as her sister to avoid a warrant. Drug paraphernalia was in plain view and methamphetamine was found inside the vehicle. The woman was booked into the Larimer County Jail.
Harassment: Victoria Street – A woman reported that a man who hired her to walk his dog began to send harassing and vulgar text messages to her repeatedly after the woman asked him to stop several times. A warrant was issued for his arrest. This man used the foulest names anyone could call another.

Unattended Death: Ellie Way – An adult female was found deceased in her home. Extensive history of health issues.
Driving Under Revocation: 4th Street – A man was contacted and found to be driving with his license under revocation. He was issued a summons to court.
Thursday, July 28
Warrant Arrest: East Highway 56 – A man was contacted at a local business and booked for an outstanding warrant at the Larimer County Jail.
Displayed Fictitious Plates: West County Road 14 – A vehicle was found with fictitious registration tabs on the plate. The plates were seized. The investigation is ongoing.
Theft: Blue Mountain Avenue – A motorhome was sold, and the new buyers agreed to leave the license plates at the seller’s house. A pair of license plates were left at the house, but the plates were not the plates belonging to the motorhome.
Vehicle Elude: East Highway 56 – A black Dodge pickup truck with confirmed stolen plates affixed to it eluded deputies after a vehicle stop was attempted. The vehicle pursuit was ended for public safety reasons. The driver of the vehicle was a white female, and the passenger was a white male.
Friday, July 29
Vehicle Theft: Fodor Drive – A locked truck parked in front of the owner’s home was entered and stolen at approximately 1:45 am. The truck was later found on the side of the road with the neighbor’s patio furniture in the bed of the truck. Dumbest Criminal Alert: The suspects did not know how to work a manual transmission, so they gave up and dumped the truck.
Mental Health Hold: Victoria Street – A woman was taken into protective custody and transported to the hospital for a mental health hold.
Third-Degree Assault/Harassment/Disorderly Conduct: Skimmer Street – A male driver followed another vehicle to their residence after a road rage incident. The man aggressively approached the other driver and passenger at their home which resulted in a physical altercation. The investigation is ongoing.

Theft: Curlew Drive – A man reported three checks were taken from his dresser in the last week. One of the checks was cashed by a possible suspect who had been at the residence with his son. The investigation is ongoing.
Sunday, July 31
Third-Degree Assault/Criminal Mischief/Domestic Violence: Jenny Lane – A man had reported his estranged wife came to the residence at 0230 hours this morning to argue with him. The woman broke a guitar, damaged a wall, punched the man in the face, kicked him in his thigh, and hit him in the face with her car keys causing a cut. She was contacted in Loveland and admitted to a physical altercation but would not elaborate further. She was arrested and booked into the Larimer County Jail. Other than the damage and assaults, they had a nice visit.
