June 1 – 5

Wednesday, June 1

Harassment / Domestic Violence: Wagon Bend Rd., a man and woman were in a verbal argument in the garage. During the argument, the woman slapped the man in the face. She was booked. 

Family Problems: Bimson Avenue, a man reported his Ex possibly had sold or thrown away his property which was at the house. Spoke to the woman and she advised his property is there, but that he was harassing her. It was agreed to let him get his items back.

Failed to Yield for Emergency Vehicle / Traffic Accident: N. Berthoud Pkwy. / Mountain Ave., a 19-year-old driver turned left in front of a Thompson Valley Ambulance as it was responding emergent to a call. The young driver was issued a summons. She had to have been looking straight at its red and blue lights and the siren blaring.

Thursday, June 2

Computer Crime: Page Place, a person reported her business account email password was changed without her authorization. Information supplied by Microsoft about the password change identified her ex-husband’s business email address. Investigation continuing.

Warrant Arrest: Mountain Ave., a 22-year-old man was contacted and arrested for his warrant.

Friday, June 3

Criminal Mischief: E. Colorado Avenue, a resident reported an unknown suspect shot his windshield with a BB gun overnight.

Warrant / Possession of 4gm (Meth) / Possession 4gm (Fentanyl) / Possession of Drug Paraphernalia: a 47-year-old Loveland man was contacted on the nod in the gas station. A vehicle search revealed drugs, and paraphernalia. Booked.

Saturday, June 4

Warrant Arrest: 4th Street, a 35-year-old Berthoud woman was contacted and arrested on her warrant. Booked.

Warrant Arrest: 4th Street, a 43-year-old Milliken man was contacted and arrested on his warrant. Booked.

Aggravated Motor Vehicle Theft / DUI / Trespass / Obstructing a Peace Officer / Possession of Burglary Tools: Heron Lakes Parkway, a 24-year-old Broomfield man was intoxicated and stole a forklift from a job site, driving it through the neighborhood. He and his two friends also trespassed in several vacant homes. The forklift thief was booked, and his friends were summonsed and released. Hey Bub, Walmart is hiring in their warehouse, and you know how to drive a forklift. Get a Job!

Sunday, June 5

Assist State Patrol: CR 14 & Lone Tree Drive, a vehicle was reported in an irrigation ditch. Driver was transported to the hospital in critical condition. CSP conducted the accident investigation.

Shoplifting: 3rd Street, two men were reported to have stolen several power tools and ran out to an alley where they were seen leaving in a gold Honda sedan, Investigation continues

Mental Health: 9th Street, neighbors reported that a man who lives here continues to blare loud music from 7am through the afternoon and came outside and cursed at them in an attempt to create conflict.

Monday, June 6

Theft: Cowbell Drive – A construction company called to report 70 sheets of siding material was stolen from a construction site sometime over the weekend. A street named Cowbell Drive. Now that is udderly fantastic.

Suspicious Circumstances: Ranchhand Drive – A woman reported her television missing somewhere between when her items were packed in California in 2021 and shipped to Longmont to be stored. When the container holding her items was delivered to her new home a television was missing. Unknown if it is a criminal event or where the event might have occurred.

Tuesday, June 7

Hit and Run: Mountain Avenue and 1st Street – A man swerved into the crosswalk median at the roundabout, running over a pedestrian crossing sign, and then fled the scene. The driver was contacted at his residence and issued a summons. Maybe we need signs that say “Yield to Signs in Crosswalk “.

Warrant Arrest/Assist to Longmont Police Department: Meadowlark Drive – A woman was contacted by Longmont Police Department and found to have a warrant for her arrest. She was transferred to LCSO then transported and booked into the Larimer County Jail.

Wednesday, June 8

Driving Under the Influence/Possible Hit and Run: Berthoud Parkway and Waterman Street – A male was contacted in a blue BMW with significant driver’s side damage. The man said he was involved in a crash in Loveland but was not sure where. He refused roadsides and refused a chemical test. Information was passed to the Loveland Police Department about the possible crash. He was booked at the Larimer County Jail for driving under the influence.

Driving After Revocation Prohibited: East Highway 56 – A woman was contacted driving with her license revoked. She was issued a summons.

Thursday, June 9

Unattended Death: Marshal Place – A man suffered a medical episode while at the residence and family members requested an ambulance. Emergency Medical Services arrived on scene and began life saving measures that were ultimately unsuccessful.

Unlawful Possession of Fentanyl/Fictitious Plates/Warrant Arrest: East Highway 56 – Two males were contacted in a vehicle displaying fictitious license plates. A search incident to arrest and within plain view, drug paraphernalia and yielded a user amount of fentanyl. One of the men was found to have an active warrant, he was booked at the Larimer County Jail. The other man was cited for possession of unlawful drugs.

Friday, June 10

Vehicle Trespass/Theft: Nicholson Street – A man had a Glock 23 handgun, a duffle bag full of bird decoys, and binoculars stolen from his unlocked vehicle overnight. Latent prints were lifted, and multiple surveillance camera footage was obtained from neighbors. Possible suspect vehicle was a red Chevy Impala or Toyota Camry with bluish colored headlights and passenger taillight out driving through the neighborhood at 0336 hours. The suspect was on foot walking the neighborhood wearing a gray sweatshirt, black pants, and a black mask over his face was seen at approximately 0400 hours during the incidents. Suspect was seen exiting the neighborhood through the green belt towards Berthoud Parkway behind the neighborhood. The investigation is ongoing.

Vehicle Trespass/Theft: Tabor Street – A man reported his unlocked vehicle was entered overnight and property stolen. Investigation is ongoing.

Attempted Vehicle Trespass: Means Lane – a resident reported that an unknown suspect had tried to open his vehicle door. Incident ties in with the two other vehicle trespasses in the area. Video surveillance captured the incident.

Careless Driving/Motor Vehicle Accident: Bunyan Ave and 1st Street – A female driver attempted to turn left onto northbound 1st Street from eastbound Bunyan Avenue, when a male driver, who was southbound on 1st Street, collided with her vehicle. The woman was transported to the hospital and the man declined medical attention. The at-fault driver was cited for careless driving.

Theft: Redwood Circle – A man reported 16 five-gallon water jugs for El Dorado Water were stolen from his driveway on 060822 between 8am and noon. Next move is to find a still making moonshine.

Driving Under the Influence/Open Container/Expired Registration: 42nd Street Southwest/Heron Lakes Parkway – A male driver was contacted for expired vehicle registration. He was found to have a revoked driver’s license and had open alcohol containers in the vehicle. He was then booked at the Larimer County Jail.

Saturday, June 11

Criminal Tampering/Domestic Violence: East Iowa Street – A woman called 911 after an altercation with her boyfriend, during which his phone was broken. The investigation is ongoing.

Violation of a Protection Order x2/Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine/Warrant Arrest x4: East Highway 56 – A male was contacted for his four warrants. The man and his male passenger both had protection orders against each other preventing contact. During a search of the passenger, two loaded needles with methamphetamine were found. Both men were booked into jail.

Sunday, June 12

Driving Under Revocation/Warrant Arrest: East Highway 56/Weld County Road 5 – A male driver was contacted for traffic infractions and was found to have an outstanding warrant. The man was also found to have a revoked driver’s license. He was booked into jail for the warrant and issued a summons for driving under revocation.

Monday, June 13

Criminal Mischief: Rivergate Way – A construction company reported that someone with a BB gun shot out seven windows at two addresses. The incident possibly occurred sometime over the weekend. A black scope was left and was collected as evidence.

Motor Vehicle Accident: North Highway 287 and County Road 8 – A woman reported that on Saturday a man had collided into the back of her with his motorcycle while she was stopped at the stop light.

Motor Vehicle Accident: North Highway 287 – A man fell asleep and rolled his truck. Issued a summons for no insurance.

Juvenile Problems/Found Property: Berthoud – Three juveniles were all at the skatepark. After contact, one juvenile was found to have an e-cigarette. A box holding multiple e-cigarette cartridges was on the table as well, yet no one claimed it. The juvenile with the e-cigarette was released to his mother.

Missing Runaway: Berthoud – Juvenile was last seen on 06/10/22 when he left his home after being grounded by his mother. Last seen wearing black gym shorts, a black T-shirt, silver prescription glasses, and a gold necklace. No medical concerns, no cellphone to contact with. Entered as a missing runaway. When I was grounded, I couldn’t leave the house, well how times have changed.

Theft: Mountain Avenue – A White, 40-50-year-old male with long, greasy hair took about $10 out of the tip jar from a local business after paying for his meal. He drove away in a late model, white Chevy pickup. Waiting on video footage.

Tuesday, June 14

Motor Vehicle Accident/Assist to Colorado State Patrol: County Road 8 and County Road 21 – Assisted Colorado State Patrol on a traffic accident with extrication. Party was extricated and transported to the hospital. Colorado State Patrol took over the investigation.

Vehicle Trespass: Alpine Avenue – A woman reported that an unknown suspect entered her vehicle overnight. Nothing was stolen and the neighbor caught the incident on camera. A video showed what appeared to be two juvenile males walking through the neighborhood, one had a blue hoodie and the other one had a white hoodie. Parents, where are your kids late at night?

Criminal Mischief: Rivergate Way – An excavator window and a bobcat window were reported to have been shot out by a BB gun, possibly over the weekend.

Assist to Child Protection Services: Mt Meeker Avenue – Child Protection Services obtained a warrant to search and remove a child from this address.

Wednesday, June 15

Second-Degree Assault/Disorderly Conduct/Motor Vehicle Accident: West County Road 14 – A suspect struck a victim in the face as he was parking near a unit, breaking his nose. The victim accelerated to get away, striking three unoccupied vehicles and causing severe damage. The suspect was not found at this time. The investigation is ongoing.

Neighbor Problem: 2nd Street – A man is having problems with his neighbor and is upset, stating that she put up signs that face his living room window. The signs say, “Creeper Peeper” and “Stop watching me”. and he believes the signs are in reference to the security cameras he has on his residence. The man asked that LCSO write his neighbor a ticket. He was told that this situation does not rise to a criminal level.

Thursday, June 16

Criminal Mischief: Mountain Avenue – A woman had the back window of her SUV shattered and the tailgate damaged. No cameras in the area. It appears to be someone disgruntled by her parking job.

Follow-Up: West County Road 14 – The suspect from last night’s second-degree assault was identified and a warrant is forthcoming.

Driving Under the Influence/Careless Driving: 2nd Street – A man was called in after crashing his car into a parked vehicle. Upon contact, the man was visibly intoxicated. He refused voluntary sobriety roadside tests and was booked at the Larimer County Jail. Ossifer I only drunk 2 beers, da 1st one and da last one.

Suspicious Circumstances/Trespassing: Biscayne Court – A bank manager reported that he had helped a citizen as part of his duties as the bank manager. The citizen then found the bank manager’s home address and showed up today to advise him that there was more fraud on his account. The citizen also contacted the bank manager at his second place of employment. The citizen was served with a trespass notice and told not to contact the bank manager anymore. The bank is also investigating and activating security measures.

Harassment/Violation of a Protection Order/Obstruction of a Peace Officer: Mountain Avenue: An intoxicated adult male was arrested after he slapped a 14-year-old juvenile on the back of the head and then pulled away from deputies and resisted arrest. It was later found that the man was out on bond and the conditions required that he remained law-abiding and prohibited alcohol. The man was booked uncooperative at the Larimer County Jail. Oops, I guess I should have read the small print about remaining law abiding and no alcohol, my bad.

Unattended Death 7th Street – A man found his deceased wife in her bed. She was a heavy drinker and smoker and had health issues. The coroner and investigations responded.

Friday, June 17

Driving Under the Influence: A man was driving southbound on 2nd Street under the influence of alcohol and drugs and crashed into a parked vehicle. He then refused to conduct roadside sobriety tests and was arrested for driving under the influence and booked into the Larimer County Jail. Officer I am not drunk, actually that parked car jumped right in front of me.

Saturday, June 18

Driving Under the Influence/No Headlights: Berthoud Parkway and County Road 14 – A man was contacted for no headlamps and weaving. He was found to be under the influence of alcohol and prescription medication. He was subsequently booked at the Larimer County Jail. Beer and vicodin together, what could it hurt?

Sunday, June 19

Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol: 2nd Street – A man was asked to complete roadside maneuvers, which he did not complete in a manner consistent with sobriety. He was then booked at the Larimer County Jail. There must have been a sale on alcohol this weekend, 3 days, 3 DUI’s.

Monday, June 20

Abandoned Vehicle/Fictitious Plate: 4th Street – A green 1991 Honda Accord with front-end damage was reportedly parked at this location for over a week. It had plates registered to a Jeep Grand Cherokee, which were removed. Contact was unsuccessfully with the registered owner and the vehicle was towed.

Tuesday, June 21

Criminal Mischief/Domestic Violence: Woodcock Street – A man got upset at his girlfriend for not getting him more alcohol. His girlfriend left and he began cutting her work computer cables. He refused to come to the door. A warrant is forthcoming.

Attempted Vehicle Trespass: Woodcock Street – A resident reported that he has video surveillance of an adult male attempting to trespass into his two vehicles parked in his driveway around 3:30 in the morning. Upon discovering the vehicles were locked, he moved on.

Theft of Services: Blue Bell Road – A local construction company called in to report that residents were using his construction dumpster to dispose of furniture and other large items. The trash service does not accept furniture and placed the items on the side of the road, causing unsightly litter.

Wednesday, June 22

Driving Under the Influence/Prohibited Use of a Firearm: Highway 287/ Berthoud Parkway – A traffic stop was conducted on a vehicle stopped in a lane of travel with substantial front-end damage. The driver admitted to consuming several beers and striking a guard rail while driving. After the driver was placed into custody, the deputy was removing the vehicle key from the ignition and observed a holstered pistol with the muzzle pointing towards the driver’s seat.

Thursday, June 23

Eluding/Second-Degree Assault on a Peace Officer/Warrant x2/Attempted Vehicular Assault/Criminal Impersonation/Criminal Impersonation/Tampering with Evidence/Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance: East Highway 56 – A woman provided false identifying info before fleeing a traffic stop. A search revealed nine fentanyl pills and drug paraphernalia. She was medically cleared and then booked at the Weld County Jail.

Felony Warrant Arrest: Meadowlark Drive – Male was transported to the Larimer County Jail on a felony warrant.

Friday, June 24

Vehicle Trespass: Barela Drive – A passenger door was left unlocked, and a suspect entered and stole several items. Please refer to Tuesday’s “Attempted” trespass to a “locked” vehicle.

Vehicle Trespass: Tabor Street – An unlocked car was entered, and a gun was stolen. What else can I say, Jeesh!

Motor Vehicle Accident with Injuries: County Road 8/Highway 287 – Two vehicles were driving southbound on Highway 287. One vehicle swerved into the shoulder and then swerved back into lane one, sideswiping the second vehicle. It was later found the driver suffered from a medical emergency.

Missing and Returned Adult: Capitol Avenue – An at-risk adult wandered away from her residence and could not be found. Several deputies and investigators patrolled the streets, and she was found and safely returned home.

Saturday, June 25

Third-Degree Assault/Domestic Violence/Driving Under the Influence/Eluding/Obstructing/Resisting Arrest/Attempting Vehicular Assault/Felony Menacing/Reckless Endangerment/Second-Degree Criminal Trespass: County Road 8/Highway 287 – A male drove his girlfriend and her son from a party in Berthoud. The man then assaulted his girlfriend by pulling her hair and punching her in the face. The girlfriend and her son exited the vehicle. The man then drove toward the two multiple times and almost struck them with the vehicle while they tried to walk away. A traffic stop was attempted on the man’s vehicle and he eluded deputies, leading to a pursuit. The man’s vehicle was disabled after striking a tree. Longmont Police Department K9 was deployed, and he was taken into custody and booked at the Larimer County Jail after being medically cleared at the hospital.

Sunday, June 26

Warrant Arrest: 2nd Street – A woman was contacted and found to have an outstanding warrant. She was booked in at the Larimer County Jail.

Theft: East Highway 56 – An unidentified white male and female took less than $100 worth of goods from a local business and then fled in a Toyota Camry. The investigation is ongoing.

First-Degree Criminal Trespass/Criminal Mischief/Theft: Bunyan Avenue – An unknown suspect broke out a vehicle window, unlawfully entered the vehicle, and stole $30.

June 27 – 30

Monday, June 27

Criminal Mischief: Vantage Parkway – Four pieces of equipment had windows shot out, most likely with BB guns. Extra patrols have been implemented in that subdivision by deputies.

Theft: East Highway 56 – maybe shoplifting? no notes yet. Will check back.

Criminal Mischief: West County Road 14 – An individual keyed a man’s car. He suspects it is his ex-girlfriend, as they had a falling out the night prior. The investigation is ongoing. I can hear Carrie Underwood singing “I dug my key into the side of his pretty little souped-up four-wheel drive.

Tuesday, June 28

Missing Runaway: Berthoud – A juvenile was due to sign a summons for Second-Degree Arson and Criminal Mischief today. His mother said the juvenile left the house the day prior after an argument about not following rules and she has not seen or heard from him since. The mother believes he is in the Berthoud area. The juvenile was entered as missing.

Harassment/Domestic Violence: Highway 56 / Weld County Road 7 – A man got into an argument while driving with his live-in girlfriend. He then slapped her in the face and left her on the side of the road. He turned himself in at Berthoud Town Hall and he was booked at the Weld County Jail.

Wednesday, June 29

Motor Vehicle Accident/Sinkhole: County Road 10E/Berthoud Parkway – A driver struck a sinkhole that had formed in the roadway (six feet round by two feet deep). No injuries. The Berthoud Streets Department closed the roadway as the sinkhole continued to grow. Sinkhole or a gateway to another dimension? Makes you think now, doesn’t it?

Thursday, June 30

First-Degree Criminal Trespass: South County Road 21 – A property owner arrived today to find two vehicles, a camper, and four people he did not know on his property. The individuals stated a white male described to be in his 50-60’s, skinny with bad teeth stated they had been given permission to be on the property. The property owner does not know of any person by this description. All parties and vehicles had left prior to deputies’ arrival. The unknown persons had used the dishwasher and washing machine while at the property. Minor damage was done to the internal garage door to gain entry to the house. Nothing appeared to have been stolen. The “Rainbow Family” has finally arrived.

Motor Vehicle Accident/Careless Driving: 1st Street/County Road 10E – A male driver collided into the back of a vehicle that was stopped for traffic. No injuries and the at-fault driver was cited.

Second-Degree Burglary/Theft/Criminal Mischief: Meadowlark Dive – An unknown white male broke the windows and stole money from a local business while it was closed. No suspects. The scene was processed for evidence. The investigation is ongoing. Money is bad enough, but if he stole coffee now, the national guard, FBI, U.S. Marshals, CIA, Secret Service, Seal Team 6, and even maybe the A-Team would all be involved in this hunt.

Warrant Arrest x 2: East Highway 56 – A man was contacted and found to have two outstanding warrants for his arrest. He was booked at the Larimer County Jail.

Theft: East Highway 56 – An unknown male shoplifted approximately $100 worth of shirts from a local business. He left in a newer gray sedan with a temporary tag and damage to the front quarter panel.
