Colorado Ice keeps perfect 4-0 record

 

(Loveland, CO) – The Colorado Ice gets their fourth straight win against the Wenatchee Valley Venom with a final score of 52-24.

The first quarter started out slow with no points being scored, until the last four minutes when Terry Washington (21) ran it in for a touchdown. David Knighton (5), the quarterback actually ended the first quarter with 13 yards rushing, making him the leader in rushing yards for the quarter.

In the second quarter both teams picked up momentum, but it was the Colorado Ice that kept adding the points to the scoreboard until the very last seconds. Wenatchee Valley Vemon was only able to score six points, while the Colorado Ice were able to add an additional 24 points. Ice had touchdowns from Duane Brooks (2) and two from Terry Washington (21). Rocky Stevens (26) aided with his extra point kick. In the last remaining seconds defensive end Eryk Anders (32) forced the safety leaving the Colorado Ice up 30-6 going into the half.

The Colorado Ice defense came back from the half ready to show the Wenatchee Valley Venom how they play with several huge hits from players like Tyrone King (7), Chase Vaughn (48), Marvin Haynes (19) and Dominic Applehans (51) with a sack giving the Colorado Ice Offense the possession. As soon as, Knighton (5) got his hands on the ball he was able to get it to Lemans Casimier (3) who ran it in for a touchdown. The Wenatchee Valley Venom was able to score once on the Ice defense.

Going into the fourth quarter the Wenatchee Valley Venom was able to start off the quarter with a touchdown making the score 36-18. The Ice defense was able to force yet another safety on the Wenatchee Valley Venom, which was followed by another touchdown by Terry Washington making it his fourth touchdown for the Colorado Ice during the game. It was Eryk Anders (32) who guaranteed the win for the Ice with a forced fumble and then recovery in the last remaining three minutes. The Ice ended the game with a touchdown by Duane Brooks (2) and a completed PAT by Rocky Stevens (26) ending the game with a score of 52-24.
