Darrell and Deborah Hasty of Plattsmouth, Neb., are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter Tawyna Marie Hasty to Jeremy Voytko, the son of Rick and Nora Voytko of Berthoud.
Tawyna is a 2000 Graduate of Edwardsville High School in Edwardsville, Ill. She received a Bachelors of Science from Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville in 2004 and a Masters in Education from the University of Missouri in Columbia in 2005.
Jeremy, a 1994 graduate of Berthoud High School, received his bachelor’s degree from Colorado State University, and a Masters in Education from the University of Stockholm in Stockholm, Sweden. The couple met while teaching in Telluride. A small wedding by a lake is planned for June 27, 2009 and will take place at the home of Tawyna’s grandparents in Edwardsville.
The couple is planning to honeymoon in Cancun, Mexico followed by a summer of unhurried sightseeing wherever the impulse takes them. In the fall they will return to Telluride where Tawyna teaches elementary students and Jeremy teaches high school science classes.
