Fire Beat: Dec. 25, 2008

Monday, Dec. 15, 2008
BFPD responded to Jay Place for an unconscious patient. The patient was revived and transported. 

BFPD was called to a structure fire on E. Highway 56. Upon arrival there was heavy smoke coming from the roof. Loveland Fire was called for assistance. The fire was extinguished and was thoroughly checked for further hot spots in the structure. The cause of the fire was determined to be electrical.

BFPD responded to a reported motor vehicle accident that had slid off the road in snow/ice conditions. The vehicle was found abandoned.

Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2008
BFPD responded to a medical call on Franklin Ave. for a patient who had fainted. The patient was transported.

BFPD were called to a carbon monoxide detector alarm on W. County Road 8. After investigating the structure, there was no problem found except for low batteries in the detector.

BFPD assisted a business on Welch Ave. with a broken water line.

Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2008
BFPD was called to a citizen assist on CR 21 for a water leak that was flooding a basement. The owner had not been able to shut off the valve and there was approximately four feet of water and continuing to rise.  Little Thompson Water District responded to turn off the water at the street.  Poudre Valley REA was contacted to shut off power and a pump truck responded and was able to remove all but approximately four inches.

BFPD assisted with a medical call on Second St. The patient was transported.

BFPD assisted with a medical call on Fourth St. for a patient who had fallen and had hip, leg and chest pain. The patient was transported.

Thursday, Dec. 18, 2008
BFPD responded to a three-vehicle accident on I-25 at mile marker 252. There were no injuries and moderate damage to the vehicles.

Friday, Dec. 19, 2008
BFPD assisted with a medical call at the Berthoud Living Center.

BFPD assisted with a medical call on Bimson Ave. The crew assisted with transporting the patient.

Saturday, Dec. 20, 2008
While clearing from a previous accident on I-25, BFPD witnessed an accident at mile marker 245.  This was a two-vehicle accident with moderate damage and no reported injuries.

BFPD found a four-vehicle chain reaction type accident on I-25 at mile marker 248. One vehicle sustained significant front-end damage and there were no injuries reported. The crew assisted with traffic control.

BFPD responded to a medical call on I-25 at mile marker 250 for a person needing emergent care.  The patient was transported.

Sunday, Dec. 21, 2008
BFPD responded to a medical call on W. County Road 12 for a person experiencing anxiety. The patient was transported.

BFPD responded to a medical call for a person having difficulty breathing on Parrish Ranch Road. The patient was transported.
