Fort Collins Stabbing

February 12: At 3:39 a.m. this morning the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call from the residents at 3717 South Taft Hill #38, Fort Collins, Colorado. Deputies, upon their arrival, found 27 year old Bernadette Deleon (DOB 02-22-83) bleeding from her chest and abdomen. She was transported to Medical Center of the Rockies by Poudre Valley Ambulance Service. Initial reports were Ms. Deleon suffered four stab wounds and is in stable condition.

LCSO investigators interviewed occupants of the home about the events leading up to the assault. Upon completion of the interviews, two individuals were taken into custody. Michelle Aleman (DOB 07-24-89) was taken into custody for Assault in the First Degree, CRS 18-3-202, a class 3 felony. The second individual, Jeremy Velasquez (DOB 11-29-80) was charged with Assault in the Third Degree, CRS 18-3-204, a class 1 misdemeanor; and Tampering with Physical Evidence, CRS 18-8-610, a class 6 felony. Aleman is the sister of the victim and Velasquez is believed to be Aleman’s boyfriend. Both were booked into the Larimer County Detention Center.
