Joye D. Freddy, June 17, 1929 – May 15, 2010

Joye D. Freddy (Kelly) passed into the hands of the Lord Jesus on May 15, 2010. Joye was born in a sod house in Frontier County just north of Cambridge, Nebraska on June 17, 1929. She graduated from Cambridge High, Cambridge, NE in 1946. She attended Parks Business School in Denver and then joined the Civil Service. While in the Civil Service, she was stationed at the Kearney Nebraska Air Base, Lowry Air Force Base, Denver and the 6th Army Head Quarters at the Presidio in San Francisco, CA.

Joye married Daniel F. Freddy on January 11, 1958 in Denver. She and Dan lived in Berthoud for more than 25 years where she was a homemaker and a co-owner of Dan’s Trailer Supply.

Joye was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, a Brownie Leader, and a supportive 4-H parent. She enjoyed bowling, traveling, Bunco, and camping.

She is survived by a brother, Leo Kelly and wife Bonnie, Beatrice, NE: a sister, Donna M. Arnold and husband Richard L. Arnold, Sun City West, AZ: a brother-in-law, William J. Freddy and wife Beverly, Atkinson, IL: a daughter, Denise F. Ingold and husband Barry W. Ingold, Erie, CO: a stepson, David J. Freddy and wife Halli, Fort Collins, CO: and a granddaughter, Alyssa M. Sylvester, husband Don and great grandson, Branoch, Centennial, CO; and several nieces and nephews.

Joye is preceded in death by her parents, L.J. and Helen Kelly, brother Arland E. Kelly on Okinawa during WWII, her husband Daniel F. Freddy, and a brother-in-law, Carl N. Freddy.

Graveside services will be held at Greenlawn Cemetery in Berthoud, CO for family and friends at a later date.

Joye D. Freddy, widow of Dan Freddy and a former Berthoud resident, passed away in Loveland on May 15, 2010.   Cremation was conducted.  The family now invite family and friends for the graveside service which will be held in the Berthoud Greenlawn Cemetery in Berthoud on Tuesday June 29, 2010 at 10:00am.

Joye’s spirit and soul rests within her family and all who knew her.
