Katherine F. Baker, 84, of Berthoud passed away on April 12 at Pathways Hospice Care in Loveland. She was born Aug. 18, 1924 in Thomson, Ill., to Jerry and Dora (Maring) Wiebenga.
She married William Edward Baker on June 13, 1941. She was a nutritionist with the Newport Mesa School District in California and a homemaker. She moved from Costa Mesa, Calif., to Berthoud in October 2002. She was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church of Loveland and the American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed reading, gardening and cooking.
She is survived by her sons Lester J. Baker and his wife Louise, and James Michael Baker; daughter Mary K. Cowdin and her husband Peter, all of Berthoud; and 2 grandchildren Eric James Baker of Berthoud and Michelle Powell and husband Phil of Milliken.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband William (April 1, 1993), three brothers and one sister.
Private graveside services will be held at Greenlawn Cemetery in Berthoud.
