Kenneth Kegerreis


Kenneth M. Kegerreis, wonderful husband, father and friend, passed away peacefully at his home in Berthoud on Oct. 18, 2010, after an extended illness.

Kenneth was born Oct. 6, 1933, in Hartford City, Ind., to Wayne and Lena Kegerreis. He went on to proudly serve in the Air Force from 1952 to 1956.

Upon his return home, he attended the University of Louisville, Ky., and graduated with a business degree in 1959.

He then began a long and distinguished career in the wholesale grocery business and retired as division president with Supervalu in 1996 after 21 years with the company.

Kenneth had a fun-loving and generous spirit, and he enjoyed deep-sea fishing and hunting. He was an excellent storyteller of tales both tall and true.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Gerry; son Michael and daughter-in-law Dawn; son Ken; and son Jeff and daughter-in-law Tami; and his brother Gary and sister-in-law Sharon. He also leaves behind six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren to follow in his footsteps.

Services will be held 1 p.m. Friday, First Baptist Church, 1003 W. Sixth St., in Loveland. Interment in Berthoud Greenlawn Cemetery.

Viewing and visitation 5-7 p.m. Thursday, Kibbey Fishburn Funeral Home.
