Orlando Franklin Platzek March 3, 1914 – June 14, 2010
Orlando F. Platzek of Berthoud died Monday, 14 June 2010. He was 96. He was born in Crested Butte on 3 March 1914. He was a World War II combat veteran in the United States Navy. He was preceded in death by his wife Jean and his son Ronald. He is survived by his sister Lena James of Claremont, California; his son Roger (Sue) Platzek of Berthoud; and his daughter Rita (Mark) Larsen of Thornton. He also has nine grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren.
Visitation beginning at 10 – 10:45AM with a Memorial service at 11:00 am all on Thursday, 17 June at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints 550 Spartan Avenue in Berthoud.
