Monday, Nov.  17

The staff at the wastewater treatment plant reported damage to the gate, apparently the result of criminal mischief over the weekend.

A Berthoud High School student was at school under the influence of alcohol and was arrested and charged with underage consumption of ethyl alcohol.

 

Tuesday, Nov.  18

Police found an abandoned motorcycle on Longview Ave. at approximately 10:30 p.m. The cycle was registered to an owner nearby on South Ninth St. No one responded to the door when the officer rang the bell so he returned to the bike and called for a tow. The owner, awakened by the doorbell, arrived soon after to claim the machine, saying it had been in place when he went to bed. There are no suspects at this time. 

 

Wednesday, Nov.  19

Police took a man into custody in the 200 block of Mountain Ave. There was a confirmed warrant for his arrest and he was taken to the detention center.

 

Thursday, Nov.  20

There was a bomb threat at Turner Middle School at 1 p.m. The warning appeared as a note on the wall that there was a bomb at school.

A 17-year-old driver attempted to pass a car on the left, apparently ignoring the fact that the car was signaling for a left turn. The results were predictable, causing minor damage but no injuries.

 

Friday, Nov.  21

A theft was reported by the staff at Greenlawn Cemetery.

A Larimer County Sheriff’s Deputy on patrol noted a suspicious vehicle at the Kwik Korner shortly after 11 p.m. He stopped to make a quick check of the vehicle’s occupants before continuing his rounds.

 

Saturday, Nov.  22

A 1 a.m. traffic stop in the 900 block of Fourth St. resulted in one person being taken into custody and the car being towed. The prisoner was taken to Loveland for a breath test and then to the Larimer County jail.

At 2:05 p.m. police received a report that an eight-year-old girl had been attacked by a small black dog that morning. The child went to the hospital emergency room for treatment of injuries. The dog was being walked by another young girl, address unknown.

 

Sunday, Nov.  23

This was a quiet day with only five calls to dispatch and no traffic stops.
