Annual Thompson School District Student Art Show Opens February 26

LOVELAND- Support Loveland and Berthoud’s youth artistry and celebrate National Youth Art Month with the annual ArtSteps student art show, displaying the talents of Thompson School District students, from February 26 – April 10, 2011 at the Loveland Museum/Gallery.

“Lyrical Lines” displays artwork of R2-J students in grades 1st through 12th and features two and three-dimensional works of art from the areas of photography, jewelry, ceramics, sculpture, collage, painting and drawing.

The opening reception for “ArtSteps: Lyrical Lines” will take place Saturday, February 26, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Museum/Gallery. The reception is open to the public.

The Thompson School District Art show is a part of the ArtSteps program. ArtSteps was created by the Loveland Museum/Gallery and the Thompson School District. The overall goal of ArtSteps is to affirm community appreciation for young artists by displaying their artwork in a professional setting, as well as fostering relationships between local artists and students, and also to provide a lasting web of creative impetus that will support students from elementary school through high school.
