Location: south of Highway 34, southwest of the Round Mountain Trailhead, west of Loveland and approximately 4 miles west of the Damn Store

ICP Location: Viestenz Smith Picnic Area

Cause: Under Investigation

Size: 150 acres                   Initial size: 3-5 acres

Weather Conditions: Weather continues to be favorable for firefighting efforts.

Agency Jurisdiction: Joint Command: U.S. Forest Service and Loveland Fire

Synopsis of what the fire is doing/what the crews are doing: Crews made great progress throughout the day and have gotten the fire 75% contained. The hotshot crews are being released this evening. The three type II crews will remain on the fire throughout the evening and continue line construction and mop-up this evening or tomorrow.

Additional/Special Information: Power has now been restored. Please note this fire is not the same as the Cow Creek Fire burning in Rocky Mountain National Park.
