Berthoud's three touchdowns in the first quarter put them ahead at the half. However, Erie came up with a score in the third period and held Berthoud scoreless in the second half. Windsor, Colo. - The Colorado Eagles announced today the details of their annual Military Appreciation Night. For the third year in a row, the team has asked its season ticket holders and corporate partners to donate their tickets for their game on Wednesday, Nov. 10 (the day before Veterans Day) at the Budweiser Events Center as the team tries to fill the venue with military members and their families. The Raptors did not give the Berthoud Spartans much to celebrate in Berthoud’s Homecoming Game. Silver Creek dominated the game and Berthoud rarely had possession in Raptor territory. The Berthoud defense stopped Silver Creek inside the 20-yard-line on several occasions, but the Raptors made most of their touchdowns on big plays. Raptor Quarterback Austin Apodaca frequently found his receivers open for big gainers while Silver Creek defenders nearly shut down Berthoud’s passing game. ... Full Story

Spartans win third in a row with late touchdown By Dan Karpiel Sports Writer The Berthoud Spartan football team made their second trip of the season to the eastern plains on Friday night for a contest with the Fort Morgan Mustangs at Legion Field. The Spartans battled all game long and won with a late touchdown. The nail-biting 16-14 victory improves Berthoud to 3-2 on the season as they prepare to begin conference play next week.
