Incident Activity for March 2-8

Monday, March 2, 2009
BFPD reported to a wildland grass fire on WCR 8 and NCR 23 for an uncontrolled burn. Upon arrival, crews found a ditch that had been burning and was now extinguished. The owners were extinguishing the fire after learning there was a red flag warning for the day due to high winds.

Tuesday, March 3, 2009
BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call for breathing problems on Wilfred Road.   

BFPD responded to a motor vehicle accident on I-25 @ mile marker 250. Upon arrival a van and a truck were involved in a rear end type accident with moderate damage to both vehicles. One injured patient was transported.

BFPD assisted with a medical call on WCR 3 for a patient who had been kicked by a horse. The patient was transported.

BFPD encountered a two-car motor vehicle accident while returning from a medical call. There was minor damage to both vehicles. A driver of one of the vehicles was injured, complaining of neck pain, but refused further medical care.

Wednesday, March 4, 2009
BFPD was notified of a smoke odor inside a residence on Vaquero St. After a thorough investigation, the crew was unable to find a source of the odor.

Thursday, March 5, 2009
BFPD was dispatched to a motorcycle accident at the Valley Dirt Rider track. One patient was transported.

BFPD responded to a motor vehicle accident on I-25 @ mile marker 254. There were no injuries and only minor damage to the vehicle.

Friday, March 6, 2009
BFPD responded to a mutual aide grass fire with Mountain View Fire Protection District on WCR 38 and east of I-25. The crew was on scene for approximately three hours.

Saturday, March 7, 2009
BFPD was called to investigate a brush fire on W. Yellowstone and N. 83rd Rd. The fire was already extinguished upon arrival.

Sunday, March 8, 2009
BFPD responded to a controlled burn on E. Highway 56 that had got out of control. The fire was extinguished.

BFPD responded to a grass fire that was originally a controlled burn but got out of control on High Plains Dr.  Upon arrival there were approximately two to three acres burning at a moderate speed. No structures were damaged.

BFPD responded to the Valley Dirt Rider track for a motorcycle accident. One patient was transported.

BFPD responded to a reported grass fire on WCR 8 and NCR 23. Upon arrival the crew found a small fast moving grass fire in a ditch moving to the west. The fire was quickly extinguished along the ditch.
