  Red Mountain Open Space Seasonal Closure Begins December 1, 2011 Effective Thursday, December 1, 2011, seasonal closure of Red Mountain Open Space, north of Fort Collins, begins. 180-Day reservation window implemented for campgrounds

Monday, January 3, 2011, at 9 a.m. starts the beginning of a 180-day camping reservation window for Larimer County-managed campgrounds!  Reservations for Memorial Day weekend, Father’s Day weekend, and the first week in July can be made during the first week of January. Hermit Park closes December 20

  Hermit Park Open Space to Implement Winter-Season Closure The Larimer County Department of Natural Resources has instituted an operational business change for the winter months at Hermit Park Open Space. The area will be closed to all use starting on December 20, 2010. It will open again for all use on March 1, 2011. These are typically the months of lowest visitation with very few campers or hikers.
