Denver Channel 7 is honoring World War II veteran Bill Dye as an “Every Day Hero” Dye is being recognized for: His service aboard the aircraft carrier Lexington in the Battle of the Coral Sea. His dedication to the memory of Pearl Harbor and all who serve our country in WW II. His ongoing care of the Police Officers Flood Memorial in the Big Thompson Canyon and his care of South Highway 7 for the Adopt a Highway. At 86 years of age, Dye keeps a busy schedule.
