Udall Statement in Commemoration of the 70th Anniversary of Pearl Harbor Attack

Today, Mark Udall released the following statement in commemoration of the 70th anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor.

“Seventy years ago today, the attack on Pearl Harbor shocked our nation and changed the course of history. I join with all Coloradans in remembering the men and women who gave their lives on that infamous day. We also salute the veterans and survivors of Pearl Harbor who are still with us. Their sacrifices and service helped shape our nation in untold ways and demonstrated that there is no greater power on Earth than a united America – and their example will continue to influence our American consciousness. As our conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan draw closer to an end, I hope we can call upon the wisdom and strength of the Greatest Generation so that we can better protect our nation and provide the best possible services to the veterans of the 9/11 Generation who have protected our nation’s freedoms at home and abroad.”
