February 24 Coloradans Needing Help with Federal Agencies are Invited to Come by A representative of Senator Mark Udall’s office will hold office hours in Berthoud on Thursday, February 24, 2011 from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. Udall’s Constituent Services Advocate, Bryan VanDriel, will be available to answer questions and help Coloradans who need assistance with issues involving federal agencies. VanDriel will be available in the Cottonwood Roam at the Berthoud Area Community Center.

Conifer Woman Sentenced For Defrauding Social Security

DENVER – Pamela Susan Diederich, age 42, of Conifer, Colorado, was sentenced late last week to serve 5 years probation, with the first six months in home detention, for making a false statement for use in determining rights to Supplemental Security Income benefits. The sentence was handed down by Chief U.S. District Court Judge Wiley Y. Daniel. Judge Daniel also ordered Diederich to pay $53,049.68 in restitution to the Social Security Administration, including a $10,000 payment to be made ... Full Story

February 12: At 3:39 a.m. this morning the Larimer County Sheriff's Office received a 911 call from the residents at 3717 South Taft Hill #38, Fort Collins, Colorado. Deputies, upon their arrival, found 27 year old Bernadette Deleon (DOB 02-22-83) bleeding from her chest and abdomen. She was transported to Medical Center of the Rockies by Poudre Valley Ambulance Service. Initial reports were Ms. Deleon suffered four stab wounds and is in stable condition. He was born on Oct. 31, 1951, in McLaughlin, South Dakota to John Weitzel, Sr and Claire Marie Boileau Hunt. He moved with the family to Colorado at the age of 3, and as a child, Jesse attended Berthoud schools. In 1974, he married Geraldine Burham and was blessed with the birth of a daughter, Rosetta Mae. Despite 16 points by Zach Ruebesam and 13 by Greg Hutchins, the Spartans fell to the Huskies 59-44. The Spartans played well the second half, staying with in one point in the scoring.
