Berthoud Fire Protection District Incident activity for May 2012 Tuesday, May 1 BFPD responded to a motor vehicle accident on U.S. Highway 287 and County Road 8. This was a single car accident with no damages or injuries. BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call on Willow Drive. The patient was transported. ALAMOSA—Alamosa resident Ethel Lukow, 86, loving mother and grandmother, was born November 26, 1925 to Harm and Amelia Johnson, Jr. in Ayr, Nebraska. She married Oris Lukow on November 17, 1946. She is survived by six of her children: James (Barbara) of Waterflow, New Mexico, Tom (Hilary) of Berthoud, Colo., Dale (Becky) of Kirtland, New Mexico, Bruce (Rikki) of Alamosa, Colo., Lisa (Craig) Trautwein of Wiggins, Colo. and Mark (Sonia) of Flora Vista, New Mexico.
