Sunday, February 1

BFPD responded to a single vehicle car fire on Interstate 25 at mile marker 249. The fire crew extinguished a small fire in the engine compartment.

Monday, February 2

BFPD responded to Fourth Street for a patient who had fallen and needed assistance getting back to bed.

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call on Fourth Street. The patient was transported.

BFPD responded to a reported fire alarm at Berthoud Living Center. The staff at the Center reported burnt food causing the alarm to react. The fire crew reset the alarm and then cleared the scene.

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call on West Hill Drive for a person who had fallen and sustained a head injury. The patient was transported.

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call at the intersection of W. County Road 8 and N. Highway 287.

Wednesday, February 4

BFPD responded to a motor vehicle accident in the southbound lanes of Interstate 25 at mile marker 252. There was minor damage to the vehicles and no injuries were reported.

BFPD responded to a motor vehicle accident on First Street and LCR 6C. A single vehicle was found on its side with all occupants out of the vehicle. There were no injuries reported.

Thursday, February 5

BFPD and TVEMS responded to a medical call on Seventh Street. The patient was transported.

BFPD responded to a medical call with TVEMS and Berthoud police on Nebraska Avenue. The patient was transported.

BFPD investigated an area with a significant amount of smoke in the area of 1800 First Street. The crew found some unauthorized burning in the area. The fire crew instructed the owner to extinguish the fire and explained the burn permit policy.

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call for breathing problems on Second Street. The patient was transported.

BFPD responded to a report of a smoke odor investigation on Welch Ave. The fire crew found an open burn in the back yard. The crew explained to the responsible party that inside city limits they were to use a regulation manufactured fire pit in the yard. The owners complied and extinguished the fire.

Friday, February 6

BFPD responded to a motor vehicle accident on Interstate 25 near mile marker 248. This was a three-vehicle accident. One person was pinned underneath a vehicle and 12 bystanders were holding the vehicle. The vehicle was stabilized and the fire crew worked on another person needing extrication. Two patients were transported.

BFPD responded to a grassfire at CR 10E and Highway 287. When the crew arrived the fire was going out. They contained the fire and the area was cleaned up.

Saturday, February 7

BFPD responded to a medical call at Valley Dirt Rider for a 13-year-old male with a hip injury. The patient was transported.

BFPD assisted a walk-in patient at Station One on Mountain Ave. The patient was having breathing difficulties.

BFPD responded to a single vehicle rollover accident on Weld County Road 42. Two patients were injured and transported.

BFPD and TVEMS responded to a medical call for abdominal pain on Bein Street. The patient was transported.

BFPD assisted a citizen with their smoke detectors on Third Street.

Sunday, February 8

BFPD assisted a citizen in their residence on Victoria Street.

Monday, February 9

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call on Douglas Place. The patient was transported.

Tuesday, February 10

BFPD responded to a vehicle fire on Weld County Road 46. A small truck was sitting in a ditch on the east side of the road with a fire that between the cab and the truck bed. The fire was extinguished and the scene was left with LCSO and the fire investigator.

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call for a person with abdominal pains on Wilshire Drive. The patient was transported.

BFPD assisted TVEMS with transporting a patient from Berthoud Living Center.

BFPD assisted a citizen with a carbon monoxide detector that was malfunctioning on Victoria Street.

Wednesday, February 11

BFPD responded to a six-vehicle accident on Interstate 25 at mile marker 249. Two cars sustained moderate damage, one injury was reported. The crew assisted with traffic control until the vehicles were all removed from the highway.

BFPD responded to a medical call for abdominal pain on County Road 14. The patient was transported.

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call on Mountain Ave.

BFPD responded for a diabetic emergency on Keep Circle. The fire crew assisted TVEMS with medical care.

Thursday, February 12

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call on Bruce Drive. The patient was transported.

BFPD responded to a reported grass fire on Abaco Lane. The property owner had already extinguished the fire by the time the crew arrived. An area of 10 x 20 had burned. The fire crew watered down the area.

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call for diabetic complications on Caballo Street. The patient was transported.

Friday, February 13

BFPD responded to a report of a carbon monoxide concern in a home on First Street. The fire crew found no elevated levels of CO in the residence. The fire crew recommended the homeowner purchase a CO alarm.

BFPD assisted a citizen on Nations Way with changing batteries in their smoke detectors.

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call at the Carter Lake South Shore Campground. A male had cut his hand. The patient was transported.

BFPD responded to a motor vehicle accident on Interstate 25 at mile marker 251. There were no reported injuries.

BFPD responded to a motor vehicle accident on Interstate 25 at mile marker 251. This was a three-vehicle accident. One patient was injured but was not transported. The fire crew assisted with controlling traffic and clearing the roadway of debris.

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call at Berthoud Living Center. The patient was transported.

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call for a possible stroke at Berthoud Living Center. The patient was transported.

Saturday, February 14

BFPD responded to a medical call on W. CR8E at the request of Larimer County Sheriff’s office. The patient was transported.

Sunday, February 15

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call on Sherman Drive. The patient was transported.

Monday, February 16

BFPD responded to a motor vehicle accident on Highway 287 in Longmont. This was a mutual aid with Longmont Fire for a three-car accident with injuries.

BFPD responded to a motor vehicle accident on Highway 287 at mile marker 322. A single vehicle had slid off the road. There were no injuries reported or damage to the vehicle.

BFPD responded to a single vehicle that had slid off the road on Highway 287 at mile marker 323. The fire crew checked for injuries and assisted in attempting to push the vehicle back onto the roadway.

BFPD responded to a two-vehicle accident on Highway 287 and County Road 4. There were minor injuries to the occupants. Both vehicles needed to be towed. The fire crews assisted with traffic control until the vehicles were off the roadway.

Tuesday, February 17

BFPD responded to Interstate 25 at mile marker 249 for a motor vehicle accident involving a truck and a semi trailer. Both vehicles had slid off the road and there were no injuries reported.

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a patient returning to Berthoud Living Center from McKee Medical Center.

BFPD responded to a medical call on Goose Hollow for a patient who had fallen and needed assistance back into bed.

Wednesday, February 18

BFPD responded to a medical call for breathing problems on Riverside Court. Upon arrival of TVEMS the fire crew assisted with loading the patient for transport.

BFPD assisted a citizen on Highway 287 and County Road 4 with changing a flat tire.

Thursday, February 19

BFPD responded to a commercial fire alarm at Berthoud High School. This was a false alarm.

BFPD assisted a citizen on Glacier Avenue with smoke detectors.

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call on Bimson Avenue for heart problems.

Friday, February 20

BFPD responded to a motor vehicle accident on County Road 23 and County Road 12. The driver had fled the scene. There were no injuries reported.

Saturday, February 21

BFPD responded to a motor vehicle accident on Interstate 25 at mile marker 252. This was a two-car accident with moderate damage to the vehicles. One patient was transported.

BFPD responded to Interstate 25 at mile marker 249 for three vehicles that had slid off the road. There was minor damage to the vehicles and no injuries reported.

BFPD responded to a motor vehicle accident on Highway 60 and the frontage road. A single vehicle was found on its side. There were no injuries reported.

BFPD responded to Interstate 25 at mile marker 253 for a vehicle had slid into the median. No injuries were reported.

Sunday, February 22

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call for breathing problems on Jefferson Drive. The patient was transported.

BFPD and TVEMS responded to a medical call on Second Street for breathing problems. The patient was transported.

BFPD responded to a report of smoke in the area of Bacon Lake. The crew found a large unattended pile of grass, leaves and yard waste burning on County Road 13. The fire crew met with the homeowner and informed him that the fire would need to be extinguished due to the materials being burnt and being unattended. The homeowner complied and assisted with extinguishment. The crew explained the process for obtaining a permit and what items were permissible to burn.

BFPD responded to a report of a fuel pump on fire at Kwik Korner. The crew found an employee spreading absorb-all on what remained of a small fuel spill that was on fire moments earlier. After checking for further hazards, the fire crew returned to service.

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call on First Street. The patient was transported.

Monday, February 23

BFPD responded to a report of outside equipment on fire. The fire crew found a small propane tank on fire in the front yard on Pyramid Peak and they extinguished the flames. The ignition was caused by a ruptured seal on the tank.

BFPD and TVEMS responded to a medical call on 2nd Street.

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call at Berthoud Living Center. The patient was transported.

BFPD responded to a report of a possible grassfire in the area of 1700 E. Highway 56. The crew was unable to locate a fire in the area.

Tuesday, February 24

BFPD responded with TVEMS and Berthoud Police to a medical call on Keep Circle.

Wednesday, February 25

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call on Mount Massive. The patient was transported.

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call for seizures on W. County Road 10. The patient was transported.

BFPD responded to a motor vehicle accident on LCR 23 and LCR 8. A single vehicle was found off the road. There was no damage to the vehicle and there were no injuries reported.

Thursday, February 26

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call on 5th Street. The patient was transported.

BFPD responded to a motor vehicle accident on Highway 287 and LCR 2E. A vehicle had slid off the roadway and there were no injuries reported.

BFPD responded to a vehicle fire at Interstate 25 at mile marker 249. A semi pulling a box trailer had a small fire near the rear tires of the trailer. When the crew arrived the driver had already extinguished the fire with a fire extinguisher.

Friday, February 27

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call on Greenwood Drive. The patient was transported.

BFPD responded to a motor vehicle accident on Interstate 25 at mile marker 253. A vehicle had slid off the road and there was no damage to the vehicle. There were no injuries reported.

Saturday, February 28

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call for an allergic reaction on Weld County Road 45.

BFPD responded to a medical call for cardiac arrest on South Iowa Ave. The patient was deceased upon arrival.

BFPD and TVEMS responded to a medical call for a stroke on Mount Meeker Ave. The patient was transported.

BFPD and TVEMS responded to a medical call on Massachusetts Avenue. The patient was transported.

BFPD responded to a commercial fire alarm at Turner Middle School. This was a false alarm.
