BFPD Incident Activity for October 

October 1

BFPD responded to a motor vehicle accident on I-25 MM 249. The Berthoud Fire crew evaluated the individuals and found no injuries.

BFPD responded to a motor vehicle accident on I-25 MM 249. The response was cancelled en route by the Colorado State Patrol, as there were no injuries.

October 2

BFPD responded to Valley Dirt Riders for a motor vehicle accident. Berthoud Fire assisted Thompson Valley EMS and the patient was transported.

BFPD responded to a motor vehicle accident on N County Road 19 and W Highway 56. Berthoud Fire assisted Thompson Valley EMS and the patient was transported.

BFPD responded to an unauthorized burn at 1233 Wagon Wheel Court. Yard waste had been burned in a pit surrounded by stone.

BFPD responded to a motor vehicle accident on I-25 MM 252. The response was cancelled en route by Thompson Valley EMS.

October 4

BFPD responded to a reported gas leak at 205 Second Street. Berthoud Fire located the leak, assisted the homeowner and advised them to seek repair of the gas line.

October 5

BFPD responded to a medical at 230 Second Street. Berthoud Fire assisted Thompson Valley EMS and the patient was transported.

BFPD responded to a residential fire at 436 County Road 10E. Upon arrival a legal burn was being conducted and Berthoud Fire cleared from the scene.

BFPD responded to a grass fire at 1005 CR 4E. Berthoud Fire notified dispatch to notify Excel that a dead squirrel had started the fire on a fire pole. (Perhaps the squirrel was alive at the time it started the fire.)

BFPD responded to a medical at 905 Seventh Street. Berthoud Fire assisted Thompson Valley EMS and the patient was transported.

October 6

BFPD responded to a medical at 328 Massachusetts Avenue. Berthoud Fire assisted Thompson Valley EMS with patient care.

BFPD responded to a medical call at 307 Hubble Street. Berthoud Fire assisted Thompson Valley EMS and the patient was transported.

BFPD responded to a motor vehicle accident with extrication on S HWY 287 and W County Road 2E. Berthoud Fire cleared all hazards and assisted Thompson Valley EMS and the patients were transported.

U.S. 287 reopen after three-car accident south of Berthoud

 U.S. 287 south of Berthoud was set to reopen at 5:20 p.m. after emergency responders cleared a three-car accident in the area of Larimer County Road 2E.  Read More

BFPD responded to a medical at HWY 56 (LCR 8) and S HWY 287. Berthoud Fire assisted Thompson Valley EMS and the patient was transported.

October 7

BFPD responded to a medical call at 248 Welch Avenue. Berthoud Fire assisted Thompson Valley EMS with patient care.

October 8

BFPD responded to the report of a bonfire at 216 S Third Street. The small 1×1 pit was legal and acceptable. Berthoud Fire cleared from the scene.

BFPD responded to a medical call at 203 Cheyenne Drive. Berthoud Fire assisted Thompson Valley EMS and the patient was transported.

BFPD responded to a medical at Second Street and Bunyan Avenue. Berthoud Fire assisted Thompson Valley EMS and the patient was transported.

BFPD responded to motor vehicle accident at HWY 287 and W County Road 8. Berthoud Fire controlled traffic until the vehicles were towed and then the crew cleaned the accident scene and removed the debris

BFPD responded to a medical call at 1713 Blue Mountain Avenue. Berthoud Fire assisted Thompson Valley EMS and the patient was transported.

October 9

BFPD responded to a medical call at 103 Keep Circle. Berthoud Fire assisted Thompson Valley EMS and the patient was transported.

BFPD responded to a medical at 275 Mountain Avenue. Berthoud Fire assisted Thompson Valley EMS with patient care.

BFPD was cancelled en route to I-25 MM 249 for a downed motorcyclist. Colorado State Patrol had been in the area and found nothing.

BFPD responded to a motor vehicle accident on I-25 MM 249. Nothing was found at the dispatched location nor in the nearby area.

October 10

BFPD responded to a motor vehicle accident on Weld County Road 38 and Weld County Road 7. Berthoud Fire assisted Thompson Valley EMS and the patient was transported.

BFPD responded to a medical call at 275 Mountain Avenue. Berthoud Fire assisted Thompson Valley EMS and the patient was transported.

Tuesday, October 11

BFPD responded to a motor vehicle accident on E Highway 56 and US Highway 287. Berthoud Fire assisted Thompson Valley EMS with checking for injuries and helped clear the roadway.

BFPD responded to a medical call at 1077 Sixth St. Court.

BFPD responded to a medical call at 619 Mountain Ave. Berthoud Fire assisted Thompson Valley EMS and the patient was transported.

Thursday, October 13

BFPD responded to a medical call at 855 Franklin Ave. Berthoud Fire assisted Thompson Valley EMS and the patient was transported.

BFPD responded to a motor vehicle accident at 740 Turner Ave. Berthoud Fire assisted Thompson Valley EMS and cleaned the area of hazards.

BFPD was cancelled en route to a medical call at 4045 Country Mountain Dr.

BFPD responded to a grass fire on Interstate 25, mile marker 249. Berthoud Fire extinguished the fire.

BFPD responded to a motor vehicle accident on Sprague Lane and South County Road 31. No injuries were found. Berthoud Fire stayed on scene until Colorado State Patrol arrived.

Friday, October 14

BFPD responded to a fire alarm at 762 Second Street. The alarm had been accidentally tripped.

Berthoud Fire responded to a medical call on East Highway 56 and Weld County Road 1. Berthoud Fire assisted Thompson Valley EMS.

Sunday, October16

BFPD responded to a bon fire on South County Road 21 and West County Road 6. The resident extinguished the fire.

Monday, October 17

BFPD was cancelled en route to a motor vehicle accident on Interstate 25, mile marker 254.

BFPD responded to a medical call at 919 Mountain Ave. Berthoud Fire assisted Thompson Valley EMS with patient care.

Tuesday, October 18

BFPD responded to a motor vehicle accident on Interstate 25, mile marker 250. Berthoud Fire checked the scene for hazards.

Wednesday, October 19

BFPD responded to a motor vehicle accident S. Eighth Street and Munson Court and assisted Berthoud Police Department with traffic control.

BFPD responded to a medical call at 605 First Street. The Berthoud Fire crew assisted Thompson Valley EMS and the patient was transported.

BFPD responded to a medical call at 880 Longview Ave. Berthoud Fire personnel assisted Thompson Valley EMS with patient care and the patient was transported.

Thursday, October 20

BFPD was cancelled by Thompson Valley EMS while en-route to a medical call at 118 Tavner Court.

BFPD responded to a medical call on Interstate 25, mile marker 248. Berthoud Fire assisted Thompson Valley EMS and the patient was transported.

BFPD responded to a fire at 942 Fifth Street. A chair had caught fire inside the structure. Fire crews extinguished the fire.

BFPD responded to a fire alarm at 4816 Glen Drive. Berthoud Fire assisted Thompson Valley EMS with patient care.

Friday, October 21

BFPD responded to 905 Seventh Street. No incident was found at that address.

BFPD was cancelled en route to a call at 4816 Glen Drive.

BFPD responded to a smoke/odor removal request at 1613 Hollyberry Drive. However, no ventilation was needed.

Saturday, October 22

BFPD responded to a motor vehicle accident on N. County Road 17 and Mountain Avenue. No emergency care was needed.

BFPD responded to a motor vehicle accident on N. County Road 17 and Highway 287. Berthoud Fire assisted Thompson Valley EMS with patient care.

Sunday, October 23

BFPD responded to a residence at 2150 Elmwood Street for a faulty smoke detector. After investigation, the residents were advised to call the detector company to repair the system.

Monday, October 24

BFPD responded to a medical call at 312 SW 49th Street. Berthoud Fire assisted Thompson Valley EMS and the patient was transported.

BFPD responded to a motor vehicle accident at 220 Bunyan Ave. Berthoud Fire assisted Thompson Valley EMS and the patient was transported.

BFPD responded to a medical call at 619 Mountain Ave. Berthoud Fire assisted Thompson Valley EMS and the patient was transported.

BFPD responded to an unauthorized burn at 1065 Sixth Street Court. The fire was extinguished.

BFPD responded to a medical call at 604 S. Ninth Street. The call was cancelled by Thompson Valley EMS.

Tuesday, October 25

BFPD was en route to a motor vehicle accident on Interstate 25, when the response was canceled.

Wednesday, October 26

BFPD responded to a downed power lines at 647 Sixth Street, 1110 Willshire Drive, 1633 N County Road 21, 1214 Elm Street, 905 Franklin Avenue, 309 Turner Avenue, 1060 E. County Road 6C, and West County Road 4 at Highway 287. Xcel Energy was notified in all cases.

 BFPD responded to a motor vehicle accident on Interstate 25, mile marker 250. Colorado State Patrol released Berthoud Fire as there were no injuries.

BFPD responded to a smoke/odor investigation at 1202 Lake Avenue. The room was aired out from burning electrical equipment.

BFPD responded to a medical call at 1300 Fourth Street. Berthoud Fire assisted Thompson Valley EMS and the patient was transported.

BFPD responded to a resident who was locked out of their home at 769 Holmes Place. Berthoud Fire assisted the resident with entry into their home.

Thursday, October 27

BFPD responded to a down power line on Highway 287 and S. Horseshoe Cir.

BFPD was cancelled while en route to a motor vehicle accident on Interstate 25, mile marker 250.

BFPD did a stand by for Loveland Fire to cover their Fourth Street station.

BFPD responded to a power line down at 300 Massachusetts Ave. Xcel Energy was notified.

BFPD responded to a building fire at 1219 35th Street SW.

BFPD was cancelled by Thompson Valley EMS while en route to a medical call at 208 E. Colorado Avenue.

Friday, October 28

BFPD responded to a medical at 855 Franklin Avenue. Berthoud Fire assisted Thompson Valley EMS and the patient was transported.

BFPD responded to a medical call at 1884 Chaparro. Berthoud Fire assisted Thompson Valley EMS and the patient was transported.

BFPD responded to a downed power line at 635 Capital.

BFPD responded to an unauthorized burn at 524 E. County Road 8. The fire was extinguished.

Saturday, October 29

BFPD responded to a medical at 1404 Fourth Street. Berthoud Fire assisted Thompson Valley EMS and the patient was transported.

BFPD responded to a medical call at 855 Franklin Avenue. Berthoud Fire assisted Thompson Valley EMS and the patient was transported.

BFPD responded to a downed power lines at 2538 E. County Road 8 and at Sixth St. and Franklin Avenue. Xcel Energy was notified.

BFPD responded to a motor vehicle accident with injuries at County Road 10E and N. County Road 17. There were no injuries.

Monday, October 31

BFPD responded to medical calls at 311 Common Drive and 545 Seventh Street.

Thompson Valley EMS cancelled a medical callout to 402 Longs Peak.
