Monday, August 31

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call on 14th Street. The patient was transported.

BFPD assisted TVEMS and Berthoud Police with a medical call on 6th Street. The patient was transported.

Tuesday, September 1

BFPD responded to a medical call for cardiac arrest on LCR 21. The fire crew administered medical attention until the arrival of TVEMS. The patient was transported.

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call on Weld County Road 3. The patient was transported.

BFPD and TVEMS responded to a medical call for a possible stroke victim on Karen Court. The patient was transported.

Wednesday, September 2

BFPD and TVEMS assisted a citizen who had fallen and needed assistance getting back to bed on 4th Street.

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call at Berthoud Family Physicians.

BFPD responded to a motor vehicle accident on Interstate 25 at mile marker 249. A single vehicle was found with moderate damage. There were no injuries reported.

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call on 4th Street. The patient was transported.

BFPD responded to a motorcycle accident on Interstate 25 at mile marker 250. The rider was injured and transported.

BFPD responded with TVEMS for a medical call at Berthoud Living Center. The patient was transported.

BFPD responded to a motor vehicle fire between WCR 40 and WCR 38. Upon arrival the fire was being extinguished. The crew continued to extinguish the fire and investigated the origin of combustion.

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call on Greenwood Drive.

Thursday, September 3

BFPD responded to a report of a medical call due to a vehicle that had struck a house on Holmes Place. The crew found a vehicle in the yard with the driver still inside the vehicle. The driver was uninjured and the house sustained some damage to the front side of the home.

BFPD and TVEMS responded to a medical call on 1st Street. The patient was transported.

BFPD and TVEMS responded to a medical call for a fall on 4th Street.

Friday, September 4

BFPD responded to a medical call at Berthoud Living Center. The patient was transported.

BFPD responded to a two-vehicle accident on Interstate 25 at mile marker 253. The vehicles sustained minor damage and no injuries were reported.

BFPD and TVEMS responded to a patient on Colorado Avenue suffering with severe back pain. The patient was transported.

Saturday, September 5

BFPD responded to a grass fire near Pheasant Run. The crew found a 100-foot by 20-foot grass fire. The crew extinguished the fire and all hot spots.

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call for a fall victim on 2nd Street. The patient was transported.

BFPD responded to an odor investigation in the area of LCR 23 and LCR 8E. The crew found a 10-foot by 50-foot smoldering grass fire. The fire was extinguished. The resident did not have a burn permit and was advised of the burn permit policy.

BFPD responded to a 2-vehicle accident on E. CR 8 with heavy to moderate damage. Five parties from a 15-passenger van were complaining of neck pain. One patient was transported.

BFPD, TVEMS and LCSO responded to a medical call for a reaction to chemical odors on Bunyan Ave. The patients were treated and released.

BFPD and TVEMS responded to a medical call at Berthoud Living Center. The patient was transported.

BFPD responded to a report of gas in a home on S. CR 15. The fire crew investigated and found elevated levels of gas near the water heater and boiler due to a leak. Xcel was notified and responded.

Monday, September 7

BFPD assisted a citizen on Capital Avenue.

Wednesday, September 9

BFPD and TVEMS assisted Berthoud Police with a medical call on Chaparro Circle. The patient was transported.

BFPD and TVEMS responded to Colorado Avenue for a person who had fallen. The patient was transported.

BFPD assisted a citizen on Lake Avenue with their smoke detector in the home.

Thursday, September 10

BFPD responded to a motor vehicle accident on Interstate 25 at mm 250. This was a single vehicle rollover accident. The driver complaining of neck pain and was transported.

BFPD assisted Loveland Fire with a report of a fire in a wall of a residence on Courtney Drive in Loveland. After investigation and no fire was found, the crew returned to service in our district.

Friday, September 11

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call on 2nd Street.

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call for seizures on 2nd Street. The patient was transported.

Saturday, September 12

BFPD and TVEMS responded to a medical call for chest pain on Welch Avenue. The patient was transported.

BFPD assisted a homeowner on 2nd Street with their smoke detectors.

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call on Charro Street. The patient was transported.

BFPD responded to a motorcycle accident on LCR 8E. A single motorcycle was down, had run off the east side of the road. The driver was evaluated for injuries and was not transported.

BFPD responded to a grass fire on the right shoulder of Interstate 25 at mm 249. The fire was being extinguished when the crew arrived.

BFPD responded to a reported grass fire on Interstate 25 frontage road near mm 252. The crew arrived and found the fire nearly extinguished by Colorado State Patrol. The fire crew checked the area for hot spots.

BFPD and TVEMS responded to a medical call with LCSO on Mountain Avenue. The patient was transported.

Sunday, September 13

BFPD responded to a citizen assist on Mt. Meeker Ave. for a cut irrigation line. A 1.5 water line was accidentally cut. The city water board was contacted for assistance. Until the city of Berthoud arrived to shut down the irrigation line, the fire crew assisted the homeowner with water diversion away from home basements.

BFPD and TVEMS were called to Berthoud Living Center for a medical emergency. The patient was transported.

BFPD responded to a two vehicle accident on Hwy 287. A small pickup truck and a semi-truck were involved with moderate damage to both vehicles. There were no injuries reported.

Monday, September 14

BFPD responded to a mutual aid incident with Mountain View Fire for a vehicle fire on Interstate 25 at mm 247. The crew provided water to the scene.

BFPD responded to a motor vehicle accident on Interstate 25 at mm 251. There were no injuries reported.

BFPD responded to a report of a grass fire threatening structures near Glenview Drive and CR 17. The crew found a small fire smoldering in a dirt lot. The fire was unattended so the crew extinguished the fire.

Tuesday, September 15

BFPD responded to a medical call for a fall on Sioux Drive. The individual was uninjured but unable to get up from the floor. The crew assisted the patient.

BFPD and TVEMS responded to a medical call for leg pain on 9th Street. The patient was transported.

Wednesday, September 16

BFPD responded to a motor vehicle accident on Interstate 25 at mm 249. Upon arrival the call was cancelled by CSP. This was a non-injury accident.

Thursday, September 17

BFPD responded to a motor vehicle accident on County Road 7 and Highway 56. One person was injured and transported.

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call for a female on 7th Street who had fallen. The patient was transported.

BFPD was requested to standby for the Berthoud High School bonfire to celebrate homecoming. The crew supervised the bonfire, and then extinguished the fire after the event.

Friday, September 18

BFPD and TVEMS responded to assist an elderly man who had fallen out of bed in 4th Street residence. The crew assisted with placing the patient back into his bed.

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call for a person with hip pain on Navajo Place. The patient was transported.

BFPD responded to a report of an outdoor fire in the area of Sprague Avenue. The crew was unable to locate a fire.

Saturday, September 19

BFPD responded to a single car MVA on Interstate 25 at MM249. There were no injuries reported.

BFPD responded to a MVA at the intersection of W. LCR 8E and N. LCR 31. A single motorcycle with minor damage was found on the side of the roadway. The involved parties reported only minor injuries.

BFPD responded to a MVA near Loveland Reservoir on County Road 17. A single vehicle had left the roadway and hit a tree. The driver of the vehicle was injured and transported.

BFPD and TVEMS assisted LCSO with a medical call due to domestic disturbance. The patient refused to be transported.

Sunday, September 20

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call on Mount Meeker Avenue.

BFPD responded to a MVA on Highway 287. This was a two-vehicle rollover accident with multiple parties involved. Minor injuries were reported, there were no patients transported.

BFPD responded to a report of a trash fire on Breckenridge Drive. The responsible party was advised of the burn permit process. The fire was then extinguished.

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call for abdominal pains on W. LCR 12. The patient was transported.

BFPD assisted a citizen with their smoke detectors on 3rd Street.

Monday, September 21

BFPD and TVEMS responded to a medical call for respiratory issues on Massachusetts. The patient was transported.

BFPD responded with Loveland Fire to a grass fire on E. County Road 16. The crew worked the southern edge of the fire.

BFPD responded to a report of a trash fire on 4th Street. The crew searched the area but was unable to locate a fire.

Tuesday, September 22

BFPD and TVEMS responded to a report of an injured man lying in a ditch near LCR 8. The patient was transported.

BFPD responded to a medical call at Berthoud Living Center. The patient was transported.

BFPD, TVEMS and LCSO responded to a medical call for an asthma attack on Massachusetts Ave. The patient was transported.

Wednesday, September 23

BFPD responded to a grass fire on N. 83rd and LCR 2. The fire was small and under control.

Thursday, September 24

BFPD responded to a life alert alarm on E. CR 8. This was an accidental alarm.

BFPD responded to a motor vehicle accident on Interstate 25 at mm 252. There were no injuries reported.

BFPD responded to a grass fire with Johnstown Fire near I-25 and Highway 60. The crew assisted Johnstown until released from the incident.

BFPD assisted with an animal that was in distress stuck in a pipe. The fire crew was able to release the animal.

Friday, September 25

BFPD responded to a medical call for pain following a fall on LCR 23. The patient was transported.

BFPD and TVEMS responded to a call for a possible heart attack on LCR 21. The patient was transported.

Saturday, September 26

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call on Thundering Peaks Drive. The patient was transported.

BFPD and TVEMS responded to a medical call on 1st Street. The patient was transported.

BFPD and TVEMS responded to a medical call on Welch Avenue. The patient was transported.

Sunday, September 27

BFPD and TVEMS responded to a medical call for a person on Meining Road who had fallen and was unable to walk. The patient was transported.

BFPD assisted TVEMS with transporting a patient from 1st Street.

BFPD, TVEMS and Boulder County Sherriff’s responded to a motorcycle/bicycle accident on N. 83rd. Both riders of the vehicles were injured and transported.

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call on E. Highway 60. The patient was treated on scene.

Monday, September 28

BFPD responded to a report of an explosion in the area of 607 2nd Street. The fire crew responded to the area and found and identified a transformer that had blown. Xcel was notified to respond to the scene.

BFPD responded with TVEMS and LCSO to a medical call on Legacy Heights Drive.

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a report of a patient in the doctor’s office suspected of having a heart attack. The patient was transported.

Tuesday, September 29

BFPD responded to a two-vehicle accident on 2nd Street and Welch Avenue. There were no injuries reported.

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call at Berthoud Living Center. The patient was transported.

BFPD responded to a vehicle fire on Highway 287 and Highway 56.

Upon arrival the fire had been extinguished. The fire crew checked for any extension past the engine compartment and didn’t find any. The crew directed traffic, cleaned up fluids.

BFPD, TVEMS and LCSO responded to a medical call on Navajo Place. The patient was transported.

Wednesday, September 30

BFPD and TVEMS responded to a medical call for breathing problems on Pleasant View. The patient was transported.
