Fire Beat: Feb. 5, 2009

Monday, Jan. 26, 2009
BFPD responded to a reported vehicle fire located on Weld County Road 7 and E. Highway 56. 

Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2009
BFPD responded to a vehicle fire on Interstate 25 at mile marker 250. The fire was extinguished before reaching the passenger compartment. There were no injuries. Interstate 25 was temporarily closed for this incident. The source of ignition is undetermined at this time.

BFPD responded to a reported barn fire on Getaway Dr. early Tuesday morning. Upon arrival the fire was fully involved. There were no injuries to people or animals. The source of ignition is unknown at this time.

BFPD responded to Highway 60 and Weld County Road 5 for a motor vehicle accident. One patient was transported.

BFPD assisted a citizen on Wales Lane with removing water from their basement.

BFPD assisted with a medical call on Shelby Dr. for a diabetic patient.

Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2009
BFPD assisted with a medical call for fainting on Mayo Court. The patient was transported.

Thursday, Jan. 29, 2009
BFPD responded to Lake Ave for a patient complaining of chest pain. The fire crew assisted with patient transport.

BFPD responded to a single vehicle rollover accident on Interstate 25 at mile marker 252. The driver was extricated from the vehicle and transported. As the crew was attempting to leave the scene another motor vehicle accident occurred. This was a three-vehicle rear-end type accident.  The southbound lanes of the interstate were closed due to hazardous materials and debris on the road. One patient was treated for minor injuries.

Friday, Jan. 30, 2008
BFPD responded to a commercial fire alarm at Campion Academy. This was a false alarm.

BFPD responded to a commercial fire alarm at the strip mall on Ninth Street and Mountain Avenue. After investigating, a vacant building was found with a sprinkler head that was leaking water causing the alarm activation.

Saturday, Jan. 31, 2009
BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call on Second Street. The patient was transported.

BFPD responded to a medical call on WCR 10E for a patient having breathing problems. The patient was transported.

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a patient injured at the Valley Dirt Rider track. The patient was transported.
