March 18, 2011 USAF ACADEMY, Colo. - A seven-run fifth inning highlighted Air Force baseball’s 12-4 win over Portland Friday afternoon at Falcon Field. The win lifted the Falcons to 8-10 on the season and dropped the Pilots to 8-7. Trailing 4-2, the Falcons batted around in the fifth, racking up five hits and seven runs to jump ahead 9-4. AFA Women sweep tennis matches
The Air Force women’s tennis team swept a pair of matches Friday morning at the Academy. The Falcons downed CSU-Pueblo and Metro State, each by a 7-0 score, in the team’s final non-conference matches of the season. With the wins, Air Force improved to 14-4 this spring. The Falcons won all 12 singles matches in straight sets, including five 6-0, 6-0 scores, and did not lose more than two games in any of the six doubles matches. USAF ACADEMY, Colo. – For the first time in program history, the Air Force men’s gymnastics team is ranked in the nation’s top-10. Following a strong weekend of competition, that saw two of the top four team scores of the season, the Falcons are ranked 10th in the GymInfo National Rankings, with a three-score average of 343.300.
