Obituary: Bertha “Birdie” Griep

Birdie Griep, 91, of Berthoud was surrounded by family when she passed on peacefully to be with the Lord on April 29, 2017. She was born in Berthoud in 1925 on the family farm north of town, to Dan and Mollie Giebelhaus. Birdie was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Florence, brothers Roland and Reuben Gablehouse, her husband Victor Griep and great-grandson Aaron. Gardner to Labor Secretary: Abandon new rules

Press Release WASHINGTON D.C. – In light of proposed changes to the Fair Labor Standards Act, Rep. Cory Gardner (R-CO) is asking U.S. Labor Secretary Hilda Solis to abandon the new rules, saying they would threaten Colorado agriculture and opportunities for aspiring young farmers.
