    Valerie Straight passed away on Saturday, February 25, 2012 at McKee Medical Center in Loveland Colorado. She was the eldest child of Jerry and Ellamae Straight, born August 13, 1947. She graduated from Berthoud Junior /Senior High School in 1965 and lived in the Loveland / Longmont, area for the last 20 years. Hunter Hawkins, a 2009 graduate of Berthoud High School, has been called to serve for two years in the Mexico City West Mission of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Hawkins, son of Bryce and Nancy Hawkins, will serve the people of Mexico and teach about Jesus Christ in the Spanish language.
