Obituary: Betty Ruth Markham
Betty Ruth (Deaver) Markham was born in Vinita, Oklahoma on September 30, 1923 to Dwight and Inez (Adamson) Deaver. During her younger years she lived in Miami, Oklahoma, later moving to Mead, Colorado to attend Mead High School where she graduated in 1942. On December 2, 1942 Betty married the love of her life, Willard G. Markham, at First Lutheran Church in Longmont, Colorado. They were married 66 years until his death in 2008. Eagles Top Tulsa to Move into Second Place
TULSA, Okla. - The Colorado Eagles ended the Tulsa Oilers' four-game winning streak with a 4-1 victory at the Bank of Oklahoma Center. The Eagles are now alone in second place in the Turner Conference after starting the day in a four team tie. Colorado netted a pair of goals in the first and final frames while out-shooting Tulsa 42-25 on the night. Obituary: Mariella Marsh
Mariella Marsh, formerly of Longmont, died July 8, 2010 at the Berthoud Living Center. She was 80-years-old. Mariella was born on March 22, 1930 in Prague, Oklahoma to Orlie Joe and Letha (Daniel) McGuire. She married Walter P. “Bud” Marsh on August 7, 1952 in Prague, Oklahoma. Mariella received her Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Education Specialist Degrees and was a teacher and counselor. She taught home economics and directed drama programs in Carlsbad, New Mexico before ...
