Derek and Amber (nee Bunker) Reisbeck were wed in a double-ring ceremony April 30, 2009 at the Tapestry House in LaPorte, Colo., among family and friends.
For the early evening ceremony, the bride wore a strapless ball gown with beaded bodice and “whipped topping” skirt. She carried a uniquely sentimental bouquet of long-stemmed calla lilies draped over her arm. Each lily was embedded with pink crystals, and attached to the bouquet was a locket from the groom’s beloved paternal grandmother in her memory. The locket contained pictures of the groom’s father and great-grandparents. The bride’s wedding ring also contains heirloom diamonds from the groom’s grandmother.
Maid of Honor was Sarah Evans. Bridesmaids were Hallie Bunker, sister of the bride; and Danni Stone, all of Berthoud. The lovely flower girl was Rilyn McDonald, daughter of Evans. The bride’s grandmother, Maxine Bunker made the bridesmaids’ dresses.
Best Man was Raul Martinez. Groomsmen were Renee Reisbeck, sister of the groom; Josh Vielehr; Luke Slagle and Cody Tennent, all of Berthoud. The bride’s father, Wade Bunker handcrafted the groom’s wedding ring.
The bride is the daughter of Wade and Mary Bunker of Berthoud, where she grew up. She is an avid snowboarder and works for Vail Mountain and Cordillera Spa in Vail. She also runs her own business with Arbonne Cosmetics.
The groom grew up as a fifth-generation family member in Berthoud and is the son of Kimberly and Thomas Kolo, and the late Kirk Reisbeck of Loveland. Now residing in Vail, Reisbeck works for Vail Mountain on the snowcat crew, as well as designing and maintaining the snowboard park year round.
After a honeymoon trip to Washington, D.C., the couple will reside in Vail.
