Monday, February 1
BFPD responded to Victoria Street for a CO alarm going off. The crew found that the alarm needed a new battery and they were able to reset the alarm.
BFPD responded to I-25, MM 250 South Bound, for a fuel leak. The crew found a vehicle with a punctured fuel tank. However, the fuel tank was not leaking any more. Colorado State Patrol cleared the Engine after checking for any more hazards.
BFPD responded to S. County Road 21 for a vehicle that had slid off the road. The vehicle had moderate front end damage. All parties were out of the vehicle.
BFPD responded to Highway 287 for a person having an allergic reaction. Patient care was turned over to TVEMS.
BFPD responded to Hwy 287 and Cty Rd 4 for a 3-car-accident. Due to the weather, roads were very icy. BE-2 squad shut down northbound lanes because of the positions of the cars. When Colorado State Patrol arrived, BFPD cleared scene.
BFPD responded to Spartan Avenue for a person that fell while shoveling. When the crew arrived they found a Larimer County Deputy helping a male up from a fall. The patient’s complaint was pain in his thigh. Wife stated she would take him to the hospital to have it checked out.
Tuesday, February 2
BFPD responded to S. Cty Rd 15 for breathing problems. Assisted TVEMS with patient care.
Wednesday, February 3
BFPD responded to 4th Street for a person with seizures. Patient care was turned over to TVEMS when they arrived.
Thursday, February 4
BFPD responded to Hwy 287 for a 2-car head on accident with heavy damage. The fire crew assisted Larimer County Sheriff’s Deputies with hazard control and traffic direction.
Friday, February 5
BFPD responded to I-25, MM 249 South Bound for a 3-vehicle accident. Colorado State Patrol took over command.
BFPD responded to Wilford Road for a detached garage that was on fire. The BFPD crew immediately went into attack mode, and knocked down the fire. Once all hot spots were extinguished, mop up operations were completed.
Saturday, February 6
BFPD responded to W County Road 10E for a person with chest pains. TVEMS arrived and took over patient care.
Sunday, February 7
BFPD responded to Franklin Avenue for a medical emergency. Patient care was turned over to TVEMS.
Monday, February 8
BFPD responded to 200 block of Hwy 60 for a 2-year-old with his hand stuck in a trap. Firefighters were able to re-open the non-lethal foot trap. The patients hand was then removed and evaluated by TVEMS. The male was not transported. Squad 11 cleared.
Tuesday, February 9
BFPD responded to 2nd Street for a stroke patient. Assisted TVEMS with patient care.
BFPD responded to Getaway Drive for a person with a diabetic condition. Patient care was turned over to TVEMS.
Wednesday, February 10
BFPD responded to a medical call on Franklin Avenue. The patient was not breathing upon arrival to the scene and was soon declared deceased. Larimer County Sheriff took control of the scene.
BFPD responded to Franklin Avenue to assist TVEMS with moving a patient into the ambulance.
BFPD responded to a medical call on Gary Drive. Assisted TVEMS with patient care.
Thursday, February 11
BFPD responded to E County Rd 6C for a vehicle that had slid off the roadway into a ditch. The single occupant was out of the vehicle. BFPD called for a tow truck and waited until Larimer County Sheriff Deputies arrived.
BFPD had a walk-in to Station 1 for a medical call. TVEMS arrived and took over patient care.
BFPD responded to LCR 2E for a citizen assist with changing batteries in their thermostat.
Friday, February 12
BFPD responded to 2000 block of Charro Street for a man bleeding from his mouth. Berthoud fire personnel assisted TVEMS with patient care.
BFPD responded to Elmwood Street for a medical call. The crew assisted TVEMS with patient care.
BFPD responded to Franklin Avenue to assist TVEMS with patient care.
BFPD responded to E. County Road 8 for a person who had fallen.
BFPD responded to I 25, mm 252 NB. The crew found a disabled vehicle off the right shoulder with another vehicle giving it a jump start.
Monday, February 15
BFPD responded to 2nd Street for a sick person. The fire crew assisted TVEMS with patient care.
Tuesday, February 16
BFPD responded to 10th Street for a person having chest pains. TVEMS arrived and took over patient care.
Wednesday, February 17
BFPD responded to Cty Road 17 for a medical assist. The crew found a person who had fallen out of a wheel chair. TVEMS arrived and handled patient care.
BFPD responded to I-25, mm 249 NB for a medical emergency.
BFPD responded to Hwy 287 for a police department medical request because of a motor vehicle accident. This was a two-car MVA with minor damage to both cars. All parties were out of vehicles and had no injuries. BFPD Squad provided traffic control at the request of Larimer County Sheriff.
Thursday, February 18
BFPD responded to Hwy 287 for a car fire. When the fire crew arrived, they found a car on the side of the road. The driver had told 911 it was on fire, so that BFPD would respond with water for his radiator. The Captain on scene explained he can’t use 911 for that, and he needed to call for a tow truck. BFPD then departed.
Friday, February 19
BFPD responded to the 300 block of Mountain Avenue for a medical call. BFPD assisted TVEMS with patient care.
BFPD responded to the 300 block of Victoria Street for a male choking. By the time the crew arrival the male had cleared the obstruction. The patient elected to have his wife transport him to the hospital.
BFPD responded to 1st Street for an unauthorized burn. The crew found a male burning scrap wood in his yard. BFPD explained Berthoud Fire’s burn policies to him. The fire crew extinguished the flames and the resident said that he would get a proper burn permit in the future.
BFPD responded to I-25 mm 250 SB for a 4-car motor vehicle accident. The 4 vehicles had light damage. One person was checked out by TVEMS and was cleared. After clearing a large amount of debris from roadway, Colorado State Patrol released BFPD from the scene.
BFPD responded to I-25 mm 247 SB to assist Mountain View Fire with a 4-car motor vehicle accident. Engine 1 was assigned to assist with traffic and clearing the roadway of hazards. Once cleared, command thanked us for our help and cleared us.
BFPD responded to 500 block of 7th Street for an emergency medical call. The crew assisted TVEMS with patient care.
Saturday, February 20
BFPD responded to W. Cty Rd 8E for a motor vehicle accident. A full size pickup was laying on its side with heavy damage. One occupant was conscious and laying on the ground. BFPD personnel assisted TVEMS with patient care.
BFPD responded along with TVEMS to Nebraska Street for a medical assist. BFPD helped package and load the patient for transport.
Thursday, February 25
BFPD responded to the 700 block of Wilfred Road for a medical assist. TVEMS assisted patient back into bed.
Friday, February 26
BFPD responded to the 2000 block of S Cty Road 21 for a medical call. BFPD assisted TVEMS with patient care.
BFPD responded to a structure fire on Weld Cty Road 46. The occupant was burning weeds when the wind came up and blew the flames toward the house and set the house on fire. Flames and smoke were visible from Hwy 56 and Cty Road 3. Berthoud Fire went into attack mode, and knocked down the fire. Scene turned over to Investigators. Command requested a backhoe from an excavation company for an overhaul assist. Fire destroys house east of Berthoud – Reporter Herald
BFPD responded to the 2700 block of Martingale for a medical assist with TVEMS.
Saturday, February 27
BFPD responded to 900 block of Massachusetts for a 13-year-old with back pain. The crew waited for TVEMS to arrive as the minor needed an adult to decide medical care.
BFPD responded to the 900 block of 7th Street. The fire crew found an 82-year-old with severe chest pain. They assisted TVEMS with patient care.
Sunday, February 28
BFPD responded to Douglas Place with a medical assist with TVEMS.
BFPD responded to S. 8th Street for a female that fell. The patient was found lying on her side with hip and leg pain. The crew assisted TVEMS in lifting the patient on to cot.
BFPD responded to Michigan Avenue for a medical assist with TVEMS.
BFPD responded to 2nd Street to assist a person who had fallen. BFPD, with the assistance of TVEMS, helped the patient back into bed.
BFPD responded to I-25 mm 250 SB for a one-car motor vehicle accident. The car had rolled completely over and was on its wheels with heavy damage to the driver’s side. The crew assisted TVEMS with an injured occupant. BFPD also provided lights to Colorado State Patrol for investigation.
Monday, February 29
BFPD responded to Hubbell Street for a medical assist with TVEMS.
