Berthoud Fire Protection District responded to a commercial fire alarm at 8:51 a.m. at Rocky Mountain Sustainable Enterprises, a business specializing in converting vegetable oil into fuel for vehicles. There were two employees present at the time of the fire; they sustained no injuries.
According to Berthoud Fire Investigator Lee Scott, the cause was accidental due to a boiler malfunction on the west inside wall of the structure. There was not a sustainable amount of damage.
