McCreary announces for HD51

HOUSE DISTRICT 51 CANDIDATE ANNOUNCEMENT Come Shake Hands with the Best Candidate for Loveland

LOVELAND, CO, April 6, 2010 – Bill McCreary will formally announce his Democratic candidacy for the Colorado House District 51 race, Friday, April 9, 2010, The Pulliam Community Building, 545 N. Cleveland Ave., Loveland, CO, 80537, 5 p. m. to 7 p. m.

Jerry Westbrook, a former School Board President, will formally introduce McCreary on the steps in the front of the building after which McCreary will speak. A kick-off party will immediately follow inside where McCreary will take questions.

“For me, I want to put Coloradoans back to work, ” says McCreary. “To do so, we must first construct the building blocks for a strong, local economy by starting with a solid foundation of an educated workforce which will attract small businesses and start-ups to our community. ”

McCreary is a Loveland native, has been married 37 years and has two grown children. He worked at Kodak for 36 years, starting as a pipe fitter, moving up to engineering technician and process engineer for instrumentation and controls.

McCreary also served eight years on the Thompson School Board as Vice-President, Treasurer, and most recently as Board President. He possesses expert knowledge on the Colorado legislative process, spending the last 10 years participating in educational and state budget legislative initiatives, including drafting legislation and testifying at committees.

“My goal is to build a brighter future for the next generations of Lovelanders including my children and grandchildren, ” says McCreary.
