Born on May 7, 1949 in Greenwich, Connecticut to Harold and Delores Hannaford, he was raised in southern California in the greater Los Angeles area where he graduated high school. Ruth B. Luce of Longmont, Colo. died December 23, 2010 at the Peaks Care Center in Longmont. She was 86. Ruth was born on September 6, 1924 in Stratford, Connecticut to Hugh S. and Margaret (Spencer) Bailie. After dating all throughout high school, Ruth married William Raymond “Bill” Luce in Elkton, Maryland on February 27, 1943. They celebrated 63 years of marriage before his death in 2006.
