Local magician makes the golf ball disappear

  Lloyd Mobley, a Berthoud resident for 16 years is perhaps better known as the “Great Lloydini” as he and his wife Linda performed their magic show in Berthoud and the surrounding area for many years. He has been playing golf most of his life but only taken it seriously since last summer. He spends most of his practice time at the Olde Course in Loveland, putting, chipping, hitting out of sand traps and driving on the range.   GOLFERS TIE FOR SEVENTH AT BARONA COLLEGIATE CUP SAN DIEGO — The University of Colorado men’s golf team could have gone out there in the rain and wind Friday and tanked things after a disappointing opening two rounds here in the Barona Collegiate Cup. Instead, the Buffaloes gutted it out, posted the second best final round score and finished tied for seventh in the 16-team event. The Little Thompson Observatory in Berthoud is hosting the LTO Open Golf Tournament on Saturday July 17, 2010 at Twin Peaks Golf Course in Longmont. The format is 4 person teams, best ball. The event starts at 8:00 AM with check-in beginning at 7AM.  Mulligan’s and putting string are available at extra cost.
